Bonded Pair was definitely a quick read. Compared to the other books in this series, this one focused more on the mated pair than the pack itself. And I really enjoyed that, but I sure was having a lot of strong with the hero, Shane.
I felt for Megan sooooo much, it can't be easy to watch all the ones you love around you finally finding your mate. And you're just sitting there wondering when it'll be your turn. But once it happens, what should have been one of the best things turned into something different. Something you've yearned for for so long and it's slipping out of your fingers.
I just about agreed with Megan every step of the way. And I'm glad soooo many people saw from her POV, but it was a real head scratcher to see Shane at a constant loss of why she couldn't move.
In the end, I kind of wished that Megan made him grovel a bit longer before forgiving him. But still an enjoyable read.
I've really enjoyed the paranormal world with wolves that Lauren Dane created in this series. I was especially excited for Megan's story. My only complaint is I wanted a longer story of Megan and Shane!
DNF
I couldn't get into this book at all. I tried and tried to like this one from Lauren Dane, but it just didn't click.
Unfortunately, I started at book 5 which didn’t help this book. I was lost on the secondary characters. I just couldn’t get into Shane and Megan. ARC provided by Netgalley and the publisher for a honest review.
Emotional and intense…
What happens if who you are, what you are, was denied your whole life? How do you embrace what you’ve long hidden? For good or bad, Shane has denied his wolf his entire life. He is a doctor, successful and pretty happy really. Finding his mate, Megan, was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, that was when things fell apart…
“This wolf of his wanted to be free, to be loved and she knew then, knew as she knew he was hers, their road would not be easy.”
Tolerance. Acceptance. These are lofty goals in this heart-squeezing romance. I hurt for both Shane and Megan as they tried to find a place of compromise where both could be loved and happy. Shane wasn’t a bad person but shaped by his parents to deny his heritage. Megan couldn’t accept that, couldn’t see it but anything but a betrayal of their relationship.
Intense and heated, this quick read revealed even more nuances in a shifter/human relationship. So, so good!
This is part of the Cascadia Wolves series. You may have seen it before under the title ‘Fated’. The series is about the Warden siblings as they kick ass and find love. Not necessarily in that order. The series is generally full of action and plenty of romance. Bonded Pair doesn’t have very much action, but it does a nice job of providing a mate for the last Warden sibling.
This story is focused on character development. Shane, a doctor who happens to be a werewolf, is in denial over his heritage. His parents don’t accept him and do all they can to suppress his true nature. Megan, the female Enforcer of the pack is bound and determined to get with Shane’s wolf.
If you like constant action, this may not be your favorite book in the series. But if you like a somewhat realistic view of how werewolves find a place for themselves in the pack, this is definitely worth the read. It’s also nice to finish out the series.
I enjoyed the story and the couple as well. I didn't feel especially connected to them or the romance but I still enjoyed the sex scenes and the steamy romance.I feel that the novel could have benefited from being a little bit longer and the readers connection to the characters a little more flushed out.I still enjoyed the read as well as the characters.
'Bonded Pair' by Lauren Dane is book Five in the "Cascadia Wolves" series. This is the story of Megan Warden and Shane Rosario. This book is a re-release of the book "Fated" with a new cover. In addition it is a quick read with about around 120 pages.
Megan is taking a road trip with her family and also along to guard them. But being trapped in a car with continue talk of marriage and babies makes it hard on this single women who has yet to meet her mate.
Shane is only attending the wedding because he was talked into it and a close personal friend will be there. Shane mother has denied him of his wolf family pretty much and kept him distant from that side. But he does understands the bonding code with you meet you mate.
So when he first sees Megan he feels something strong and Megan to feels the pull. But his mother and her ways does set to interfere in their budding relationship.

A romance where the hero has to let go of the control over his life, to give into his true nature. Definitely a passionate story and an enjoyable read.
Great book! Lauren Dane writes an amazing book as always
I think this installment of the series is my favorite by far. I found myself crying more than once. I felt bad for Shane and Meaghan. Each had valid points, but of course, we are partial to the loving embrace of the Cascadia Pack.
This was an interesting story. I clearly needed to read the beginning of the series to understand some of what they were talking about but it was a good book. I will go back and read more of this series.
It doesn't take but one look and one smell to call the wolves of Megan and Shane to realize that they were mates for each other. That was the easy part. The hard part is breaking a lifetime of his training from a mother who was not understanding.
While they love each other very much, it may not be enough for them to make it. Will Shane be able to come to grips with the fact that it's ok to be a werewolf?
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book
There is something about this series that just draws me in and keeps me wanting more. Megan Warden has watched her family fall in love over and over, seen them bond and unite families. She knows the road can be rocky to finding a mate but if her family can overcome obstacles so can she right? Read and find out!
I love that these romances are never simple. I think this book drew me in emotionally because I felt Megan's pain, I felt that she wanted this romance...she wanted her time to fall in love but Shane wasn't making it easy. This was a very good tale of accepting who you are and learning to love every part of you....very good job Lauren Dane.
Lauren Dane is one of my favorite authors so for this book to be a 10 star read should've been expected.
What happens when an enforcer’s mate turns out to hate his wolf side? A complete angst fest, that’s what. It’s official, although I really love this series, I like the books with suspense and action more than the straight up romances. Not that I disliked Bonded Pair, but I’m a fast lane girl and books without suspense are like driving in the slow lane for me—occasionally okay if there is interesting scenery to look at, but that’s a rare occurrence where I live.
I’ve always loved Megan. She’s funny and witty so she cracks me up. The beginning of the book was freaking hilarious, especially when she was guzzling alcohol to get through some serious family time despite her werewolf metabolism preventing any chance of intoxication. I’ve been known to do the same but, thank goodness, I can get a buzz to dull the drama, LOL. That’s not to say having a super fast metabolism wouldn’t be awesome!
I did not like the fact that Megan got saddled with Shane as a mate. His human mother had raised him to be ashamed of his werewolf side. I wanted to throttle his dad for standing by and letting his mother screw with his head like that. Yes, Shane became Layla’s (Megan’s sister) anchor, but he’d mainly just been dipping his toe into the werewolf world and basically passing as a full human. He should never have mated with Megan knowing how he felt about werewolves in general.
What he put Megan through by expecting her to deny her werewolf side and come live with him just flew all over me. Plus, it took him way too much time to man up. Maybe if we’d had more time with them as a solid couple I would have felt differently about him, but I never got over my initial dislike.
I did enjoy spending time with the Cascadia family, and we had lots and lots of girl time which helped. Overall though, this book was somewhat of a disappointment especially since it’s the last of the Cascadia Wolves series. The series overall is one I’ve enjoyed and have no problem recommending despite my disappointment with Shane and the pace of this particular story.
Rating: 3 Life In The Slow Lane Stars
Megan was being driven crazy by her mother. Layla her sister was married and bred as was her other sister Tracy but Megan was a single werewolf shifter. Megan was the Enforcer of the Cascadia werewolf pack. Megan told her sister Tracy her life was really good except for her non- mate status. Things had gone good in werewolf politics in the two since Cade took over. National. No civil war, no drama. Megan was sure something would happen again it always would. But it had been some time since she’d had an actual vacation so it would be nice to to have leisure time. Megan had come with her family to attend her cousin Sherry’s wedding. Megan was getting her grandmother -Lia- settled in her hotel. Lia wasn’t ready for her granddaughter to leave right then. Her grandmother was getting something witchy in her head. They all made light of Lia’s little pronouncements but she was always right. Then Lia said big things for Megan she had a trial ahead and she didn’t know if the ending would be something Megan wanted or not. Lia told Megan it could be her mate she didn’t know. Layla was Megan’s sister and Shane was her anchor in the tri-bond. Shane was a doctor in Las Vegas and even though he was a werewolf he lived as a human, wasn’t part of a pack. Shane was raised to be suspicious of werewolves by his mother who had never made the change from human to werewolf. How hard it must have been to be raised by someone who hated what you were. Shane was doing fine in Las Vegas, he dated human woman and one day he would marry and then they would adopt children. He didn’t want to raise a child like he didn’t understand or want to accept. Shane saw Megan in a bar and didn’t realize who she was at first. But her elemental scent made his hormones set up and take notice. She smelled like honey and heady flowers. Megan felt Shane was off limits as he was Layla’s anchor. Funny how Megan had felt such a total connection to Shane. Shane also felt a ridiculous need to touch Megan. Then even though Shane lived outside he knew Megan was his mate.
Once again another great story that I loved. I loved this series!! Megan was a settled strong werewolf to mate with a werewolf who had turned his back on his wolf. What Shane’s parents had done to him especially his mother was just wrong and so sad. I was so glad he realized how empty his life really was before it was too late. I felt bad for all the pain Megan went through before things turned right. I loved the plot and how Megan’s family and friends stood by her. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.
This is my second book in this series and I can't say that I really enjoy this one.I was frustrated most of the time!Shane was sexy but I did not feel him as much as I wanted.
I loved that I finally got to read Megan's story. I can only hope that there will be more books to this series, because I'm not ready to be done with the Wardens and their mates yet. Megan is the Enforcer for the Cascadia wolves. She's accompanying Nina, and the other ladies in her family that are still near or in the Cascadia territory to a wedding in California. She's asked to go to the airport and meet Dr. Shane Rosario, a cousin to Sid, Layla's mate. He is also Layla's Anchor. While she waits for his plane, Megan has a drink at a sports bar. What happens when Shane is walking past and sees her? This was a book that had me laughing at one moment, then crying and feeling my heart break in other moments. This is a roller coaster of a ride, let me tell you! What causes all the friction in this is Shane's mother. What does she do? When she calls Megan one day, what does she say to her and why doesn't she want to tell Shane what she said to Megan? What happens when he is finally told? You're going to have to read to find out.

This story is a little different than the rest of the series. The is no fighting among the wolves. No evil wolf to defeat, and this made for a slower story. This is Meghan's story. She is an enforcer and she loves her job, pack, life, except for wishing for her true mate. While attending a wedding in Vegas she tasked with picking up the best man, Shane, from the airport. Poor Shane, he was raised by a Mother who hate his wolf side. He was taught to keep it hidden and never was apart of a pack. He is a doctor with a thriving practice in Vegas. Well you guess it, Meghan and Shane bond very quickly. They both know what it means, only Shane doesn't want to leave Vegas and Meghan can't leave her pack. Her pack means everything to her. This story was a roller coaster of emotions. Some things did not ring true for me tho. Shane's Mom married a wolf, who abandoned his pack. The father let allowed the mom to raise Shane in this way.
