This was an okay read for me. This story has a lot of emotion but not much suspense. I liked the characters as well as the story. The chemistry between Megan and Shane is great, just need a bit more. An entertaining read. Looking forward to more in the series.

Poor Megan. We’ve watched her grow and develop through the other books in the series. She’s been through a lot and getting a mate doesn’t really make things easier.

Megan’s sister’s anchor arrives and needs a ride from the airport. This seemingly simple task ends up jumpstarting a relationship that neither really expected. Shane is the most reluctant wolf we’ve met so far. He’s been traumatized and has a lot of baggage because of it. He lives as a human doctor and isn’t really open to accepting such a drastic change. That doesn’t, however, stop him from claiming his mate.

Megan is almost the complete opposite of Shane. She’s 100% wolf and completely committed to her pack. Shane does something that seemed impossible – make her doubt herself. It’s sad to watch them struggle through this, but I guess nothing Megan got could really be easy. These two are a good match and it was nice to visit with everyone else we’ve met before.

Werewolves are my guilty pleasure! I haven't read a novel containing them in awhile and I love Lauren Dane's writing, so it was the best of both worlds. While I knew it was a book in a series, I hadn't read any of them yet. I want to go back and start at the beginning now, but I didn't feel like I was completely missing things. I felt like Lauren did a good job of giving the run-down on who everyone was. I think I would have understood their pack laws a little better had I read earlier books, but I enjoyed this one! Things heated up quickly and the chemistry was off-the-charts-hot! Megan is a strong woman and has been raised that way. She knows who she is and isn't afraid to be anything but that. Shane wasn't so lucky. He feels things he hadn't felt in awhile and has to come to terms with that. He also really likes Megan. I liked their dynamics and this story moved fast. Megan respected Shane and also knew he wasn't prepared for all that happened. She did what she needed to do and so did he. Thankfully they both had family that loved them and could be a shoulder for them. And I was anxiously awaiting for them to run together. They made sense, they just had to stop fighting it! If you like werewolves, I highly recommend this read!

Thank you for sending me Bonded Pair. I am a HUGE fan of the Cascadia Wolves. Tracy's story is my favorite of the Warden siblings, but Megan's story is compelling. I appreciate the subtle editing in this version, as I believe it moved faster. In the Samhain version, Shane got on my nerves with all the back and forth. Some of that is still here, but it seems to have been lessened or tightened up. Shane is still my least favorite of the Warden mates, yet I still find their relationship as engrossing and readable as any other in this series. Shane's parents are vivid and well done, especially the father. Bless Lauren Dane for her strong women, who can walk away from a situation where they are not treated well. Megan is terrific. Not enough romances feature those type of women, especially paranormal characters. I hope LD writes more wolf stories, or the jaguar ones. This is still one of my all time favorite paranormal series, and one I've been recommending to library readers for a long time.

Bonded Pair by Lauren Dane
Cascadia Wolves #5

A road trip, too much family and a wedding to attend at the end of the journey left Megan Warden feeling at odds – especially as her mother keeps harping on her needing to find a mate. Megan wouldn’t mind having a mate and all it entails BUT said mate has so far remained elusive. When she picks up Dr. Shane Rosario, coming to attend the wedding, sparks fly and a bond is formed faster than greased lightning but then reality lifts its ugly head – Shane is in near denial of his wolf and rather unwilling to embrace the true meaning of being “mate” to Megan while Megan is totally and completely werewolf all the way. The two have a rollercoaster ride that leaves them both hurt and confused with family trying to help but not necessarily having THE answer or suggestion to make things right for the pair. And, there were times that I really did not see Megan going forward to Shane at all – at least not the way he continued to act more like a teenager than a nearly forty year old professional. In the end things are tied up with a bow but it seemed to take forever to get there. I am not sure but perhaps if I had read the previous books in the series terms like anchor, enforcer, trib-bond, etc would have made more sense BUT the novella works as a standalone story and helped entertain me this afternoon.

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Press for the ARC – This is my honest review.

Gah, I just cannot get enough of this series! I love these hot and sexy Cascadia wolves. I adore the entire Warden family. I love how they rally right around each other--protecting each other, loving each other. I felt so badly for Shane who didn't have this incredible bond with his family, with a pack. He was so lost. I loved Megan and her strength and belief in herself. I couldn't help but root for the two of them to work out their bond and make it right. To make it to their HEA. I did worry for a while that it wouldn't happen. So when's the next one releasing? I need it now... LOL

This was a good book about finding and staying true to yourself. I loved the strong female characters and really wanted to reach into the book and smack some sense into our male lead.

It's safe to say that Shane and Megan are not my favorite Cascadia couple. Shane was a monumental idiot (his parents fault partly but still) and Megan just failed to impress me with any badassery despite being security. I didn't like the side plot of ugly bigotry that came out of nowhere and I liked Shane's father's response even less. Everyone in this book felt diminished by their actions.

Shane's mother is a bigot of epic proportions and has somehow not only managed to utterly unman her mate but her son as well. Let's just say that if you want to know what spousal abuse can look like when perpetrated by a woman, look no further than Shane's mother. She's such a nasty piece of work, I want her to get killed. Shane's father not only lets her unleash her poison on him but also allows her to teach Shane that he is dirty, ugly, and unnatural.

When he meets Megan, he tries to essentially teach her the same thing. It's so destructive and ugly that it appalls me and makes me cringe. At least Megan has the strength and the backing of her family to walk away from her mate. While Shane eventually gets himself together, it feels like it's more along the lines of "I seriously need sex with my mate and can't stand it anymore." Eventually he breaks with his mother and his father starts to get out from under her ugly thumb too.

I was disappointed with this book because it just never really felt like Shane and Megan had a shot.

Lauren Dane didn’t waste any time in getting directly into the action. In Bonded Pair, Megan had to put up with a lot, traveling with her family to a wedding, to meeting her mate who had serious issues.
Shane was a successful doctor, who by right was a werewolf. Growing up he had to hide what he was to appease his mother. Not knowing what he was missing until he met his mate. But even meeting his mate didn’t solve years of abuse by his mother. Yes, Shane had mommy issues. If he can’t stop deny who and what he is, he will lose the best thing that ever happened to him.
Bonded Pair was fast passed and didn’t skimp on the romance. It had a strong character development to the point that you could relate to the struggle these two had to go through to be together.

love this series, it should be read together, but can still follow as a stand alone. Ms. Dane never disappoints in her writing. I loved seeing our enforcer finally getting her mate. I think the pace of the story was on target and I am happy for the HEA

Nice way to wrap up the cascadia wolves series. On the plus side, I really enjoyed Megan's character. She's strong, brace, considerate and real. It was also great to check in with her family from previous books. On the con side, I didn't like Shane as much. He seemed like a bit of a baby about the whole wolf thing.

All in all it's a pretty decent read, especially if you've read the other books in the series and want to see Megan get her HEA.

I received an ARC of this book, via Net Galley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I've been feeling horrible lately and I needed something to take my mind off things so I requested this, (thank you to the writer and publisher as well as Netgalley for allowing me to review this), and I wasn't disappointed. It did allow for a fun escape (and I wasn't aware until I opened it that this was part of a series).

If you discount the book being part of a series it's a fun, less angsty, novel that has a nice place in the werewolf/bonded/mate trope. It made me want to pick up the others to fill in the parts I didn't fully understand though.

I have to admit that this is by far the most frustrating book of the series thus far. Out off all the stories this is my least favourite to be perfectly honest.

Meagan is a great lead. She's strong, fiesty and all the things I love in a heroine. She surprised me because I imagined her to be more hardened but I liked her all the same.
Shane is a whole different kettle of fish. The good thing is he was a total hottie and definitely knows how to pleasure a women and he's also pretty decent at sucking up when needed. However... he is one of the most frustrating heros I have ever read!!. I know realistically that part of the fault lies with his parent and that's why he's so negative towards his wolf and others like him. But wow! At some point you need to take responsibility for your selfish actions and for me that came to late.

Together they were great when things are going steady but honesty that wasn't much ... it's so angsty and filled with that cat/mouse game that it had me rolling my eyes through a lot of it. The chemistry between the pair is great and the sex is phenomenal however that doesn't change the fact that that it took so much work to get them ok.

I will say I loved the last few chapters. I just wished it came sooner.

This isn't a negative review.. the story is engaging and seemless/well written, I have loved this author since I read the first story of the series and every other however this one fell short for me because of how much I enjoyed the others. But nonetheless I still enjoyed it and will 100 percent read what comes next by this author and continue to love her.

It's a well written book but i felt there were bits missing. I know its part of a series but there were things in it (such as bonded pairs having an anchor) that weren't properly explained and it made the story loose something for me.
