Maybe I would round this up to 3.5, I'm not sure. I liked Macy, but my word I wanted Liam to make up his mind. there was so much back and forth that it gave me a headache. I can't imagine why Macy didn't have more. Jules Bennett does a good job of creating characters though. I thought the epilogue was a sweet way to wrap up the series.
This is the third book in the Monroes series...and I LOVED it! I couldn't put it down!
This is another wonderful book by Jules Bennett about one of the Monroe brothers, Liam.
I love how Ms. Bennett brings the family back together to honor their late sister with her dream of opening a spa, and Liam decides to help out with his cooking skills. All the brothers have a hand in making her dream come true.
Macy comes into Liam's life, but he figures she won't stay...because nothing in his life ever does.
I REALLY enjoyed this book! It is a stand alone, but why wouldn't you read the first two anyway? They were all WONDERFUL!
This series has brought out the gamut of emotions, from elation to heartbreak. Here you have characters who have scars, both emotional and physical...as well as disabilities. All have shaped them into the type of characters who steal your heart...cheering for their triumphs and mourning their losses.
Liam and Macy were a prime example of the strength of character it takes to overcome the challenges that plagued them individually...Liam outwardly, and both inside. Through each other they have found their way, over many obstacles, to forge a future together. Through the author's ability to bring the characters to life, your emotions are taken for a ride that culminates in joy, and not for just the couple, but for the family as a whole.
This story was the perfect way to end the series...with the Monroe brothers having fulfilled their sister, Chelsea's dream, and finding their own life's passions...the love of their lives. Ms Bennett has written an emotional satisfying end that'll stay long after the series has ended.
This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
I have been waiting for Liam's book for a long time and was not disappointed. I love Liam and Macy! Deep dark secrets and passion all have the makings of another Jules Bennet winner!
3.5 stars
Lost in You by Jules Bennett is a well written, heartfelt and emotional read.
The storyline held my attention all throughout the book, Liam and Macy were likable, passionate, relatable characters that I found easy to connect with.
Watching the relationship between Liam and Macy unfold had me swooning and smiling one minute and wanting to throw my kindle with my frustration the next. Liam's one step forward, two steps back started to annoy me. While I understood his fear that he wasn't good enough for Macy it upset me that he couldn't see how much it was hurting her when he would withdraw from her. I admired Macy, after everything she'd gone through she still was able to open her heart, forgive and love unconditionally, she wasn't scared to open herself up again to love. She was a much stronger woman than me, I'm not sure I could have been as understanding as she was lol
But having said that, I did think they belonged together and had no doubt their future would be a happy one for them.

The epilogue was a beautiful and heartwarming way to say goodbye to the Monroe family, it warmed my heart watching them all together happy, content and looking forward to what the future would bring.
Lost in You brings a close to The Monroes series, while each book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you read them all. Each book has been a joy to read.
*A big thank you to the publisher for the advance copy*
Liam is the most closed off of the brothers and I think lots of returning readers are really looking forward to discovering what makes him tick. He's struggling with a lot of things, leaving him moody and sometimes erratic. Proximity to his brothers and working on his sister's dream is doing a lot to bridge some old hurts and forge a better relationship with his family. But it doesn't help that one of those things he's having trouble with is an attraction to his sexy landlord and close family friend.
Macy seems like such a well put together person that you wouldn't realize that she's got some pretty big secrets. She's funny, energetic and friendly - the perfect girl next door. Or in this case, girl downstairs. And she's had a thing for Liam for AGES so if she could only get behind his walls it might lead somewhere fantastic. Whew, he has walls though!
I think that Bennett's superb writing and fun characters will help keep the attention of readers who aren't all that thrilled with the on/off of this relationship. Because Liam definitely waffles. A lot. I kinda get where he's coming from, because small town living makes it hard to get away from anything in your past. Especially something as big as the car wreck that left him with a scar on his face. And he's has an idea of what his future would be, which doesn't include life in said small town. But things are starting to come together with the brothers and their business, so when you throw in a girl that he has trouble resisting... well, I think he resists a little too much :) It takes him some time to work out what he really wants and where he needs to be. But of course, he gets there in the end. (There's quite a bit of angst though before then so make sure you are prepared.)
I started with this book and now I need to go back and read the first two. I really liked the friends to lovers theme. Great romance.
Another wonderful book by Jules Bennett. This 3rd book in the series on the Monroe brothers was good. Liam & Macy are both very strong willed characters, they both have painful histories & are both battling the feelings they have for each other. The sexual tension between Macy & Liam is off the charts combustible when around each other. I enjoyed the continuation of the 2 previous couples stories & watching the continued growth of Brock the adopted son of Zach. The continuation of the emotional journey of fostering & adoption, as well as learning to move past your fear & pain was beautifully written in this roller coaster ride of a story. Definitely recommend
Wonderful story. I was looking forward to this book after reading the previous two. Liam and Macy have been dancing around since the beginning of the series. Both of these two need to get over some past baggage in order to fully commit to being together. The push-n-pull from Liam was a little laborious in the beginning, but he finally comes around to the fact that he can't fight the attraction anymore. Great book!
This third book in The Monroes series is the ending of the series, but you will want to read it again and again. This one is for Liam and you will not be disappointed. Wonderful characters and this book stands alone.
Love this family and the dynamic between them all. Really enjoyed this book as well. Each book brought you closer to this family.
I really loved and enjoyed this book. Really a great series that I have enjoyed. Can't wait to read more.
I really enjoyed this book! The lead characters were well developed.. I love a book that I can start reading and not put it down until I am done! You will not be disappointed in this delightful story!
I received an advance copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
I have chosen not to finish this title, which is a tough decision for me, as this is a favorite author of mine...and I hate the idea of not being able to get into something Jules Bennett has written. But in this case, I just didn't like Liam. I thought he was a great secondary character in the first 2 books, which I loved, and was expecting to like him...but he fell flat for me.
I appreciate, as always, the opportunity to read your title and look forward to the next one.
The epitome of a happily-ever-after! I can't even begin to tell you how many emotions this book stirs up. Not only is it the culmination of the 3rd brother finding love, but it's a whole other feeling of completeness because Chelsea got her dream. Not only did her brothers bring her dream business to life, but in the midst of it, they became the close-knit family she always wanted them to be ... with her memory and the love she showered on them in the short time they had together surrounding them all in their hearts. I loved this series so much ... I only wished there were some more brothers so we'd get more books out of it! :)
Liam Monroe has always been the loner of the family. He loved his adopted family more than he could ever show, but a part of him was always locked away in memories of his past. He left their home of Haven, GA to strike out on his own years ago, and the only thing that will bring him back is Chelsea. After her death, his brothers rallied together to build her dream resort & spa in an old house she had bought and planned for before her death. Now he's back to run the kitchen ... but only temporarily!
Macy Hayward had a crush on Liam back in high school. Now she's having to see him constantly because she got suckered into renting him the apartment above her hardware store. She still feels that draw to him every time she sees his handsome body. When circumstances draw them together and have him teaching her how to cook, things really heat up! When it comes time for Liam to pursue his own dreams and head out of town again, will he be able to walk away from all that Haven holds for him ... not only family, but a new found love as well?
This is the third and final book in the Monroe trilogy and while it can be read as a stand-alone novel, it is probably best to read the books in order. I still need to go back and read the first one just because I really liked this family. In reading the previous book, I knew that Macy had a long time crush on Liam Monroe. Of the three remaining Monroes, Liam most wants to be on his own in at Atlanta, and own his own restaurant. However, like the other siblings he has put his dreams on hold to fulfill the wishes of his dead sister. But he has no intention of staying and therefore no interest in starting anything with Macy.
I did appreciate that both Liam and Macy had their own issues and were each trying the best that they knew how to deal with their issues. Although, at times I wanted Macy to just give up on Liam. Fortunately for Liam, Macy was a bit stubborn in that respect. Overall, this was a great way to wrap up the series with both Liam and Macy coming together as well as seeing more of the other Monroe couples.
I voluntarily review an ARC of this novel.
Lost in you is a well written romance. I throughly enjoyed the plot and the characters. Now I need to read the previous books in the series
Jules Bennett’s Lost In You bring to a close the Monroe Family Series; doing so with an absolutely fantastic story. This is a story of personal identity, overcoming adversity, the support and love of family along with a wonderful romance. The first two books in the series have these elements too but they just jump out in Liam and Macy’s story. This is a family of brothers that I have come to love so I loved this story but so hated to see it end.
This may be my favorite since the reader is able to see the entire family at Haven. Ms. Bennett has given us real people, characters with flaws. Because of this they seem more human, more approachable, more lovable or certainly in need of love. None more so than Liam with his up and does emotions and interactions with Macy.
If you had not read the first two books, the author does a wonderful job giving you the back story without sounding repetitive for those of us who have kept up with the series. While this makes for book that can be read on its own, it will make one want to read all of the series. You will hurt for this family and their loved ones then find yourself smiling and wanting to yell, “Way to go!” for each one. This is a fabulous addition to the awesome Monroe Series. A must read for fans of contemporary romance. This is the only series I have read by Jules Bennett, but it lives up to expectations and then surpassed them with Lost in You.
Liam has moved back to Haven to help his brothers run Bella Vous, a women-only resort and spa. He’s renting the apartment over Macy’s hardware store. She’s always had a crush on him and he secretly cares about her (He just doesn't realize it yet). This is a book about love and choices. Liam has had a hard life and just wants to return back to Savannah. He wants to own and run Magnolias, the restaurant where he was Head Chef. But he also wants to stay with his family. Liam has a lot of choices to make before he can have a happy life. This was a great book because it was so close to real life in the decisions that he has to make. This is Book 3 in the series and can be read as a stand alone book. Now I’m off to get the first two books. I received a copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
I have been a big fan of this series from the beginning. It was great visiting with all the Monroes again. Liam returns to Haven to be the chef for the resort. He is adamant that he is not staying as he wants to open his own restaurant in the city. That resolve is tested by his attraction to Macy, who has had a crush on Liam since they were teenagers. She rents Liam an apartment over her store. They start spending more time together as he gives her cooking lessons, and soon things are heating up in the bedroom as well. I enjoyed Liam's book, though it was my least favorite of the three. He spends too much time fighting the pull to Macy, and his indecision was a little too drawn out for my taste. This book really should be read in the series order as each builds on the previous one. I am sad to see this series come to an end, but I. Excited to see what Ms. bennett will write next.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for an advanced copy.
