Sprinkled With Love is another sweet romance in the Montana Born Bachelor Bake-Off series. Book three in the series, this one stands alone well as do the others though they will help with context and are also light, sweet reads. Jillian and Avery are both likeable characters, though for my money, the stars of this show are Romeo the matchmaking cat and his romance interest Marshmallow. The plot is straightforward, following the baking theme for which the series is named. I liked this story. It offers light, escapist reading and can easily be enjoyed in one lazy afternoon.

Sprinkled with Love is Bachelor Bake-Off Book 3. I looked to see if I had read anything else by Jennifer Faye but did not see anything so this is a new author for me to read. As for this book she has continued the Bachelor Bake-Off Series in the same wonderful fashion as the other Marietta, Montana books. In this case, we have a true cowboy in Avery. He loves ranching, rodeo-ing and his family. There is a small mystery concerning his guilt over his parents but for the most part it is a straight-forward romance between a clueless guy and a people-pleaser woman.

I like both of these characters but the story slows down to a “Will-he, won’t he. Should she, shouldn’t she” circle in the middle of the book. I do wish that had moved faster, but overall the story is solid. I did love the added events with the cats, they gave a sweet humor to the story.

I was really looking forward to this book in the Bachelor Bake-Off series because of the “Romeo” teaser – I’m a sucka for a conniving cat! Ms. Faye delivers a funny, poignant, and touching story about two lost souls…who are hoodwinked by a cat. Both Jillian and Avery have to work through pasts that have deeply affected them. At times, I wanted to urge them along, to deal with their issues and talk to one another, but that’s the part that engaged me in the story. Reading about Avery learning to bake? Priceless! All I could think of was “Ooooh! Shiny things!” whenever he would lose his concentration. I recommend this book; it has all the elements of an entertaining evening’s read.

I really enjoyed this wonderful story of second chances. I love this authors work, she always gives us a great story line with unique and interesting characters. The attraction between Jillian and Avery is amazing but the road to happily ever after has many obstacles! Don't miss this book, it is well worth reading.

Jennifer Faye has a confectionery delight on her hands with Sprinkled with Love. Avery and Jillian, lest we not forget Romeo the cat are the sweetest blend of sugar and spice and a few hardcore life lessons are fit in along the way. Both have to learn to take risks and appreciate the blessings ahead of them instead of the sorrows in their pasts. Factor in small town living with a hosts of helping hands that are as adorable as they are nosy and you have a charming piece of heaven wrapped up in a tiny bundle.

The Bachelor Bake Off series gets more competitive in book 3 - “Sprinkled with Love,” when Jillian Parker and Avery Wainwright team up to conquer the baking competition. Friends since childhood, Jillian became the full time nanny to Avery’s twin siblings who are 9 years his junior when their parents died.

The twins now grown, Jillian has become one of Marietta’s newest business owners and Avery is back home for an enforced hiatus from the rodeo due to an injury. Seeing each other again, the attraction that has been turned to embers due to their employer-employee relationship in the past has become sparks. But, will it become a full-blown love affair when both are still so reticent about their feelings for each other.

A poignant romance of two very stubborn people, “Sprinkled with Love” is a story of how everything can go wrong when two people are so right for each other. A drama-com, “Sprinkled with Love” has bittersweet moments mixed dotted with laugh out loud instances that makes it a joy to read.

“Sprinkled with Love” is Rated T for Teens. There are no sex scenes in this book.

3 1/2 STARS!

With Book 3 of The Bachelor Bake-Off, Jennifer Faye brings us contestant Avery Wainwright’s story! The plot is a bit slow, but the characters are fun … especially the matchmaking cats!

When Avery Wainwright comes home from the rodeo circuit to recover from an injury, the last thing he expects to be doing is learning to bake, but his little sister somehow sweet talks him into taking part in the town’s Bachelor Bake-Off. What’s he getting himself in for?

Jillian Parker might be super busy with her newly opened store in Marietta, Montana, but she can still find time to help a friend learn to bake! Will Avery and Jillian spending time together bring bake the old crush she used to have on him? And will it finally open his eyes to the fact that she’s a woman?

This is the third instalment of the Bachelor bake off series. I am enjoying this series, however this book was a little bit of a let down. There's too much drama going on for the storyline to be completely enjoyable.

So far I've really enjoyed these Bachelor Bake-Off books and this one is no exception. This story isn't quite as light and fluffy as the others but it's very entertaining all the same. Avery Wainwright is another bachelor that has gotten roped into the bake-off by well meaning relatives. There is no way he can get through this without some help. Who better than his good friend Jillian Parker.

I recommend this one to everyone.

2.5 stars

While reading the other stories of Bachelor Bake-Off series, I've learned that male character of this book is the bachelor sponsored by Harry Monroe's family, the name that major in the making the Bake-Off event. And so I was kinda expecting there'd be quite a bit of Monroe factor prominent in this book. I couldn't be more wrong. But that's not the major issue.

Of the stories I read so far, Sprinkled with Love has the least bake-off substance in it. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Like the others, Avery got roped into participating in the event despite his lack of baking skill. This bachelor turned to old friend Jillian to help tutoring him. So yeah, the bake-off still played a part in bringing these two friends together. Somewhat. What - or who - the real trigger was actually Romeo, the cat. It could've been a cute and romantic tale. If only I love the MCs.

The story's off to a good start and I actually liked Avery at first. Bear with me, this is gonna be a long one...

After the death of his parents Avery took care the role of guardian to his two younger siblings seriously (with some help from Jillian as the youngsters's nanny). His siblings, rodeo career, and work at Crooked S Ranch were his focus; he was oblivious that Jillian bore a feeling for him.

The story started a few months after the siblings gone to college and military and Jillian no longer worked for the family. When he met her again, courtesy of Romeo the cat, he began to notice Jillian and the sparks between them. This guy loved his family so much he's willing to do anything for them; who wouldn't love that kind of guy!!

But then as the story goes, Avery started to act - in my opinion - weird, fickle, and judgy. He let anything - and I mean ANYTHING - affect his judgement and decisions on things! So, no. He's not a true cowboy material for me. Jillian was still an okay character; a bit too affected by town-gossips but still showed some spines; still want to help making things right.

The crux of the matter here is Avery. His fickleness made the story run around in circles; I don't want to settle down, do I want to settle down? I shouldn't make a move on Jillian, I'm gonna get her to accept me, I don't deserve her, I will not give up, she still had feelings for that guy, I'll leave town and go back to rodeo. That was the bulk of the story to me. It's really exhausting to follow Avery changes of fragile feelings. He really made this entry to the series felt overly long.

Plus, the pacing of the story is erratic; I lost track of the sequence in some of the scenes. And frankly, I don't really need the epilogue to confirm the happy ending. The hurried (and anticlimactic) last chapter was more than enough for that.

At least there is the kiteh! Thank gads for Romeo (and Marshmallow) who made the hero's acting out rather bearable for me. The cats earned special point for them alone. Sad really; I thought I was gonna love this book!

The third book in the Bachelor Bake-Off series had a more somber tone to it then the first two books. There was quite a lot of push/pull between Avery and Jillian...the two misconstruing, making false assumptions about the other, and generally looking at each other in the wrong light, which was frustrating at times. If they'd just come out and asked, or spoke their mind, the false assumptions would never occurred. But I suppose that is the point the author was trying to get across. The drama of the story centered more about Avery and Jillian thinking wrongly about each other a majority of the time definitely took the limelight off the bake-off and the message it carried in the other stories.

Overall, the story was well written, flowing smoothly and quickly, with much less of the light heartedness of the other books in the series. It also had much less of the backstory about the bake-off fundraiser and the other bachelors participating in the event, leaving much of that dimension out of the story and making it more of a stand alone then part of the series set in Marietta, Montana. There was also very little mentioned about the town or its inhabitants...which carried through the other books.
