Loved! This is a sexy read told as only the Queen of Hotness herself can. In it, the duke has promised Kate in marriage to a laird in an effort to broker peace. Unfortunately, the duke didn't concern himself with whether or not Kate (nor the laird) wanted the marriage. So when the laird's brother arrived at the Killian Keep to collect her, she was missing.
Before long, then men came across two women that looked as though they might be Killians. In order to protect themselves, the women committed a bit of a ruse....then tried to steal the men's horses. Before long, then men re=aquired their horses and sparks began to fly. There is nothing quite so sexy as a highlander as conjured by the QoH and paired with a fair maiden.
Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list. A note on Bookshots as I was unfamiliar with the imprint - this is a book that is longer than a novella, but not as long as many novels are - probably about 150 pages in length. It's the perfect length for a quiet afternoon or evening's read.
