It's always a good idea to establish the credentials of a non-fiction author before you start reading. Especially when it comes to money!
Michael Becket was for over thirty years a financial journalist with The Daily Telegraph, which included editing regular supplements. Sounds like he will know what he is talking about.
I did not know that this is the 6th edition of this title and that there actually is a 7th edition! Worth knowing that the information has been updated, for sure.
There is so much detailed information here about investments – so valuable for the beginner investor who wants to get serious. As a small time investor, I was not interested in some of the chapters but really found helpful and eye opening those that were relevant to me.
A very comprehensive guide to all things related to stock markets. Definitely not for beginners but more for people that know a bit but want to know more. Extremely comprehensive. I found the book very interesting and I learnt a lot from it. I takes the user through gilts, warrants, shares etc, explains what each column is for in the share pages of the newspaper ... and a whole lot more.
