Jane stumbles up to an estate sale where she is given a golden ring. Jane suffers with low self-esteem and the ring becomes special to her. What I was most taken aback was Jane's carping (Brody to fix door) or Wes to not call her "Sunflower. Jane just had no real romantic redeeming or warm qualities.
I didn't feel it was Devon Hartford's best.
I truly enjoyed this book. If you enjoy romance with a hint of real magic, you will love this story.
Jane Johnson has been unable to find someone that can love and appreciate her, and the only two relationships she has attempted have failed miserably. Plus, she is somewhat crippled with insecurities about her appearance and always compares herself unfavorably to her beautiful sister. One day, Jane wakes up looking totally different, beautiful in fact, and is swarmed by male attention. However, you should always be careful what you wish for, as Jane is overwhelmed by the attention and superficiality and doesn't know what's real emotion or how long this magical transformation will last. Will she be able to find real lasting love?
I found that I could really relate to Jane and her insecurities, as they are something I believe everyone has experienced at one point or another. I also really like the mystical elements of the story, which gave it a fairy tale like feeling, and gave the story uniqueness. I like how the story raps up Jane's story, but leaves what happens to the other characters open ended, and I can't wait to read the next book.
