Wonderful resource. Fun, engaging, will satisfy a variety of curiosities. Enjoyed the Macro photography mixed with the illustrations that read like a graphic novel.
Flying Creepy Crawlers by Matt Turner is a children's book about flying insects including dragonflies, butterflies, damselflies, bees, wasps, flies, beetles, and more.
The book starts out with some history about the first flying insects and continues to touch on amazing facts pertaining to the different types. It covers wings, abilities, adaptations, size, and food sources.
What made this book so fascinating was the sharp photography and illustrations. Some of the insect photos were stunning close ups of eyes, wings, and bodies and the colors were magnificent.
Children won't be bored with this one. There are gobs of facts and the way they're presented is stimulating.

If your child is into creepy crawlers and anything buggy then they will love this book Flying Creepy Crawlers book. This book will delight the readers eyes with beautiful and detailed photography and illustrations by Santiago Calle that are well drawn and sometimes a little humorous.
The book looks at creepy crawlies that fly and have mega wings, that are expert engineers, and hum and hover, and others that are athletic. Each new chapter gives the reader information about the different bugs, their predators, information of their lifespan, size, wingspan and other interesting facts.
I like the detail photographs in the book, especially when paired with the factual information. Children that love factual information will be engaged with this book..
The glossary at the back of the book is great to help the reader understand the trickier words such as invertebrate, thorax, proboscis, and parasite.
This will be a favourite of many which I will be recommending.
