This third installment of the Billionaire Builders series does not disappoint in the slightest. Sydney and Tristan have a history and that history is what keeps this book twisting and turning. Tristan returns to town and finds that he's never forgotten the girl he left behind. What he doesn't know is that Sydney not only hasn't forgotten him, either, but has a huge secret that she's been keeping from him since he skipped town. The chemistry hasn't fizzled out between the two of them in the least and that is where our story starts. Probst's ability to carve a beautiful story shows in this story of second chances and facing one's past. Tristan is a complicated man who needs to come to terms with his grief over the loss of his mother. Sydney finds herself in a difficult position after life throws Tristan back into the carefully constructed life she's set up for herself and her daughter. The two of them together makes for a twisted tale of sorting out their past and figuring out if there can be a future. Fantastic story, once again, captivating from the first chapter. This series hasn't been a disappointment at all!
All or Nothing is the third full-length book in Jennifer Probst's Billionaire Builders series about three brothers brought back together by their father's will. Each of the books can be read as a standalone although the main characters in this one have been present in all the books. Therefore Tristan and Sydney's story is a much-anticipated one for fans of the series and for those who love the second chances/secret baby/marriage of convenience trope. All or Nothing is poignant and bittersweet accompanied by bouts of humor every so often (usually involving an adorable seven-year-old).
It's quite engaging and entertaining, all the trademark dialogue that Ms. Probst is known for as well as great secondary characters are present but there are moments that are predictable so it does bring the momentum down a little bit. Nevertheless, All or Nothing is still a great second chance romance that is worth the read.
This was such a beautiful and heart warming second chance at love story. Tristan and Sydney's journey back to one another was painful, hopeful and sweet. From the beginning you will be rooting for them both. I loved the way the author brought the past and present together as we got to see the story from both sides and see where they were both coming from. The writing was outstanding and so good, you are pulled in and not able to put the book down once you get started. I loved this whole series and I highly recommend you read this one.
Another fantastic book by Jennifer Probst! It made me want to watch HGTV as soon as I was finished reading it!
They were in love, although he never told her. Sydney was so young and vulnerable. She loved him with all her heart. When he told her he was moving to New York to follow his dream she was stunned. She could not leave. He asked her if she wanted she could come along and never said he loved her. In her condition, she knew he would never get over giving up his dream to stay with her, so she let him go. Tristan was never the same after that. Sydney grew up in a hurry after that and grew into a self-assured woman who knew what she wanted.
Talk about a love story! Tristan has now been back and working the family construction company for a year and he never gave Sydney a second look. He was keeping her as far away as possible never realizing that when he left her he destroyed a great love. Now they have to work together and either sink or swim the challenge is on. Sydney does not intend to be bested. How to open Tristan's eyes to what is in front of him in plain sight? That is the question. He is not aware how much he needs someone to love him unconditionally.
This is another gem from Jennifer Probst. These Billionaire Builders Series has been a memorable one. This last book, this one is my favorite. It is full of fun, tears, thrills, and passionate romance. A definite must read!
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I thank the publisher for sharing a copy with me.
I have really enjoyed getting to know the Pierce Brothers. Smart, creative, complicated are the skills they know best, but underneath all drama, hurt and secrets lies a really strong family. Cal, Dalton and Tristan love each other, they just express it differently. Isn't that what family is all about? Making what should be the most simple of tasks, anything but. Sydney and Tristan should be experts at that. Their love was a long time coming but ended all too soon. Or did It? Can they rebuild the trust they lost and the love they let slip way? Through the wounded pride and long withheld secrets, for me the most priceless of moments were the interactions between Becca and Tristan. Watching them go from wary strangers to building a tentative connection was such a sweet sight to behold. I fell in love.
All or Nothing At All is book 3 in Jennifer Probst’s Billionaire Builders series; a series I absolutely love.
Tristan Pierce is very much set in his ways and while fiercely loyal to his brothers Cal and Dalton being the middle brother made him the peacekeeper and a little bit of a loner. After their mother passed away the brothers feel apart and Tristan found it very difficult to come to terms not only with his mother’s death but an overbearing father he always seemed to disappoint. He couldn’t even find solace in the arms of Sydney Green – his childhood friend who was always there. He knew he needed to leave and did leaving behind Sydney and his brothers. Now with his father gone and a will that forces him back to his small hometown after years being away he is a changed man. A man who doesnt believe in love – even when Sydney now all grown up is always there more beautiful and confident than ever.
Sydney Green has been part of the Pierce family since she was 8 years old and she has been in love with Tristan her entire life. Then when she and Tristan started sleeping together when she was a teenager she knew that her love for him was real; unfortunately all Tristan wanted to do was run away and run away he did. Leaving her pregnant and heartbroken; now he has been back for a year and its all Sydney can do to protect her heart and her daughter. When she forces the Pierce brothers into giving her an opportunity to run her own building project her and Tristan are forced to work together and the truth about her daughter finally comes to light. She can only hope that Tristan can forgive her and accept her and their daughter.
I have been patiently waiting for Tristan and Sydney’s story since starting this series. I love a second chance romance and I knew this story would be great and I am so happy I wasnt disappointed. Ms. Probst writes her characters so well that we believe all their choices and nothing ever seems forced. Told in dual POV’s we get to witness the arc of both Sydney and Tristan along with the raw emotion and pain that both characters go through. The good news is that there is quite a bit of joy and humor as well. I will say this book out of the three is a bit darker and it works even when her characters make some questionable choices that could cause the reader to want to hurt the main characters. The payoff at the end is so good that makes it well worth it. We do get to see Cal and Dalton and their ladies as well and do get a wedding which I loved.
If you are a fan of Jennifer Probst’s Billionaire Builders series then you will be excited for this conclusion. This is a standalone so if you want to dive into Tristan and Sydney’s story it is well worth the time.
It breaks my heart to rate this book so low because this story has been the one I've been waiting for.
I have loved Sydney since the beginning of this series. I loved her snark and her hard work and how devoted she was to Becca. Tristan was always stand off-ish and maybe had a hint of cockiness, but I knew there was going to be something amazing between them. Yet, it was horrible.
Yes, it finally comes out that Becca is Tristan's daughter. Of course it happens after Sydney and Tristan have slept together and tentatively started a new relationship. And then it all goes to shit.
Tristan becomes cold and even more distant. He demands they get married or he'll take Sydney to court to get full custody. He demands they share a room and sleep together because Becca needs to see her parents "happy". It isn't until the very end of the book that he realizes that he's been an ass the entire time and apparently a fancy dress and formal dinner is all it takes to be forgiven.
I couldn't rally back from this one. I hated the way he treated her. I hated the way he thought about her as property and the constant thought of "taking what was his" and "claiming her." I get being angry and reacting, but he refused to talk things out with Sydney. She literally had to do what he said. There were no options.
The saving spots for me were that he was adorable with Becca and I loved seeing the other couples. If not for those parts, I would have DNF'd.
**Huge thanks to Gallery Books for providing the arc free of charge**
I couldn't finish this book. Not because I didn't like it or because I thought it was bad. This is going to sound really strange (and it is a lot more personal then I like to get in my reviews.) See the thing is that I have anxiety issues, always have and always will, and I couldn't finish this book because for some reason it set my anxiety on edge. Maybe its the subject matter (she is keeping a pretty big secret) maybe it was the characters (he was fairly angst) but whatever it was I had to put it down because it made me panicky. It is a shame because I had big hopes for this and I LOVE Jennifer Probst but, for the sake of me, I had to dnf.
Teenage sweethearts Tristan and Sydney are torn apart when Tristan decides to leave town and Sydney decides to stay. Unwilling to tie Tristan down to a life he would come to resent, Sydney does not tell him she is pregnant with his child when she leaves. That decision will come back to haunt her when Tristan comes back to town to help run his family's business after his father's death. Will this secret tear them apart, or bring them back together?
Probst delivers a satisfying end to the Billionaire Builders series. Her characterizations of Tristan and Sydney are well-written, and the reader can definitely relate to both of their frames of mind as they fall back in love and deal with the repercussions of youthful mistakes. Sydney's actions especially come off as more sympathetic given the mixed signals given by Tristan. Tristan, on the other hand, was at times a little too overbearing and heartless, even for the "typical" alpha hero. What saves Tristan from being a complete and utter ass is Probst's writing, and his inevitable come-to-Jesus moment.
Probst remains one of my favorite authors to read in contemporary romance. I can't wait for her next one!
I've been addicted to the Pierce brothers since the first book. I was consumed by all of their drama and heartache - absolutely loving every minute of them overcoming their differences while falling in love with their soulmates.
All or Nothing at All, the final book gives us Tristan and Sydney's story. These two have been in one another's lives since they were children and they share a hella complicated history. However, the only reason they're back in each other's lives is because of his father's will not because they want to mend their differences.
These two - wow. The sexual tension between them is crazy hot. It's intense. And no matter how much they have tried to ignore one another for the last year, they finally can no longer do it. They need surrender to their lust and feelings for one another. It's unavoidable.
It's feels like their timing might finally be right but Sydney has one last truth that needs to be unleashed and it's one that will no only rock Tristan's world but also the foundation of Sydney's relationship with the entire Pierce family. It makes you feel like them getting a happily ever after together is almost unattainable.
I was on the edge of my seat reading. I ached every time these two desperately wanted more but were too scared to let go of their hurts. I anticipated the moments they needed one another more than they needed air to breathe. I desperately wanted them to forgive and heal because I believed in their love. Hell, I felt it down to my soul.
I devoured this highly emotional and entertaining story. I loved All or Nothing at All and I cannot recommend the Billionaire Builders series enough. If you haven't met the Pierce Brothers or experienced any of their angst and drama, you should start now.
Jennifer Probst has hammered her way into my heart once again as she builds and nails the foundation of love in this sweet, charming and emotional second chance romance in All Or Nothing At All.
"Kissing her again was a primitive, animalistic leap into the unknown with no markers set up on the path. It was darkness and light, past and present, vicious hunger and aching tenderness. He couldn’t get enough.”
Sydney Greene has loved Tristan Pierce all her life. He was her first love and will always have a place in her heart but when Tristan left to go to New York, she let him go to pursue his career. She also didn’t inform him that he was the father of her child. It was her secret to bear until it was time to tell Tristan the truth.
After the death of his mother,Tristan Pierce was angry and lost. He needed to get away and wanted Sydney to go with him to New York but she said she couldn’t. So when Tristan left Sydney behind, he became a different man.
"She loved Tristan Pierce with her heart and soul. Somehow she needed to believe he felt the same way. She had to fight to make sure they got their second chance, even if it meant pushing past uncomfortable boundaries and forcing him to take a risk.”
Upon Tristan’s return back home, his relationship with Sydney have been a little tense. He’s stubborn and she’s headstrong and so when they have to work on a project together, old feelings begins to resurface. Tristan then realizes that Sydney has always been the one and so he makes it known to her that he will stop at nothing in winning back her heart.
As Sydney and Tristan’s relationship begins to get serious, Sydney knows that she must tell Tristan the truth in regards to her daughter. So what happens when Tristan discovers her secret? Will he be able to forgive Sydney for denying him seven years of getting to know her? With all on the line, will Sydney be able to earn back his trust?
"She never wanted to hurt him. Time would build trust. Forgiveness. Time would bring hope. Sydney dragged in a breath and set her shoulders for the biggest battle she ever waged. The battle for his heart. She couldn’t accept any less from him. It was all or nothing at all.”
All Or Nothing At All is a heart-tugging sweet and beautiful emotional second chance romance. Tristan and Sydney’s journey of finding their way back together will make any romance fan’s heart melt. Toss Becca into the mix, you can’t help but smile. Probst did a wonderful job bridging and tying the past and present as we see both sides to their story. The writing was fabulous. These characters will hold a special place in my heart. And the romance was palpable. So all there is left to say, go read this book and fall in love with Tristan and Sydney’s emotional journey as they risk it all for love or nothing at all.
LOVE Jennifer Probst and her characters! The third book in The Billionaire Builders was sizzling with the heat between Sydney and Tristan emanating off the page! I've been waiting for their story and it did not disappoint. I'm sad to leave the quaint town of Harrington and the Pierce brothers but can't wait to see what Probst comes up with next!
Such a huge fan of this author. Love the HGTV feel of the series! This is the last of the brothers to get his HEA. Tristan and Sydney have been dancing around each other through the previous books. It appears as though it's a love/hate kind of thing. Sydney has some secrets and Tristan is just befuddled by her.
In this book, we finally get the history between the two. Great second chance romance. Love all the feels between these two even if they are protesting loudly that there is nothing there. A bit of drama once the secret is revealed. Ahh...but love is love. Eventually the heart chooses and helps everyone's pain to heal.
I will be sad to see these guys go. Hopefully we can get a short novella or two in the future for a follow up. Loved all the books in this series!
A great addition to the series. It's nice to spend time with the hero and heroine who we've seen in other stories in the series but haven't had the chance to really get to know.
Secret Baby plots are always a bit tricky but Probst does it justice here. She was able to capture the different problems that form around this type of situation. There is a wrong party and a wronged party from the past, but there are also new problems from how both parties relate to each other and the child more recently and of course the intentions and the idea of protection involved in the initial decision.
This story has several layers. It's a great summer read that is an excellent addition to the series or a great stand alone. Happy reading!
I recommend this series a lot at work. All of them are quick, fun reads without being overly dirrty.
I'm really sad to see this series end. These books were so great. Jennifer really has a talent for making you fall in love with her characters.
This particular book out of this series had a few of my favorite tropes all wrapped into one book. I'm not really going to go into more detail because I feel that it may spoil the story for you. It was fun and well done and I love that Jennifer did this.
Jennifer is a wonderful writer and I can't wait to see what she puts out next. Great job with this book! Don't miss this series and this book!
I have loved this author for a while and this book just reaffirms my love for her words. This book touched my heart and I’m really glad I read it! I look forward to more from this author!
Seriously completely adore this author!
Jennifer Probst delivers a solid third installment to her Billionaire Builders Series with Tristan and Sydney's story. Finally, with a lot of conflict built in, they find their HEA. Probst continues to deliver strong, readable stories with characters most of us can relate to. Cheers for this book and these characters!
I don’t think I advertised this enough, but All or Nothing at All by Jennifer Probst was actually one of my most anticipated releases of 2017. At one point, I thought it was my #1 most anticipated, although after devouring all 705 pages of A Court of Wings and Ruin the same day it came out, I realized maybe not. Either way, I was ecstatic when I got the chance to read this, and unsurprisingly, it was just as amazing as all of the other books in the series.
All or Nothing at All is the third book in Jennifer Probst’s Billionaire Builders series, sort of inspired by the Property Brothers. This book features Tristan Pierce and Sydney Greene. They were childhood friends turned lovers, until Tristan took off to New York and Sydney stayed in her hometown. Three years later, he’s back and shocked/betrayed when he finds that Sydney has a kid. He gives her the cold shoulder, unaware that the kid is actually his. So basically, the perfect, most potentially swoony contemporary romance plot ever – it’s why I thought this book would be my favorite in the series. Now having read the book, it’s a hard call. I’m stuck between the second book Any Time, Any Place and this one. The former was perfect in every way, and while I did love this one as well, there was one thing this book didn’t quite hit.
Let’s go through the checklist:
The selfless heroine. CHECK.
The adorable, lovable kid. CHECK.
The relationship between father & daughter and mother & daughter. CHECK.
The drama and pain after the big reveal. CHECK.
The perfect, angsty relationship between Sydney and Tristan. Umm, not so much.
While I loved so much about this book and had a great time reading it – minus the tears at the painful bits – one thing that really got under my skin while I was reading was Sydney and Tristan’s relationship. Too much of their relationship was founded on sex. It was clear that they both loved each other’s personalities and who they were to one another, but for most of the novel, this rarely came through in the way they interacted with each other. It was brought up at the end of the novel, but the apology wasn’t big enough, and my cold heart apparently isn’t as easy to please as the characters in the novel.
There’s also this thing that happens about three-quarters of the way into the novel. I won’t spoil it, but one character is taken advantage of and literally no one stands up for this character. They let all of what’s happening happen to the character, and all the males and females we’ve come to know and love from the last two books stick up for the other character without even bothering to know more about the situation. Sure, they have the sad character’s back later in the novel, but they weren’t there for the character when the character so could have used them. Again, the character forgave them, but I still hold a grudge. And I’m not even done yet.
The happily ever after bit usually occurs after one of the characters realizes that he/she is in the wrong, and makes a grand apology (re: two paragraphs above where I complain about the apology not being grand enough). I’m not sure if this is even a big deal, but the fact that one character absolutely refused to believe the other character until there was absolute proof right in front of that character’s face that the other character wasn’t lying really bothered me. And that both characters were totally okay with this turn of events and that one of them didn’t demand a bigger apology (yes, I’m back to that) just made me feel confused things. I don’t even know.
BUT
Despite all of that, I really enjoyed reading this book. This series is absolutely perfect, and honestly, the fact that this book made me feel so many things means that it’s that good. Obviously these characters are very different from me and have less cold hearts – except maybe Tristan – but the plot was stunningly written, even despite my complaints. I suppose I wanted Sydney to stand up for herself more and Tristan to come to conclusions a bit faster and both to not make stupid mistakes, but hey, c’est la vie.
If you still don’t believe how much I enjoyed the book, I gave it five stars (★★★★★). If I hadn’t read the other two books in the series, maybe it would have been four stars, but the interactions between all these characters that now feel like family makes everything okay. Everyone’s story was different, and I applaud Probst on being able to write unique romances year after year. This is why she’s my go-to Contemporary Romance author, folks.
