I had high hope for this book as it's always nice to get the bbq out and a bit more variety is always welcome. But none of the recipes appealed and I'll be honest the images were few and far between and I personally would have liked more.

The recipes are clear and the pictures are bright. This is a great grilling cookbook, and provides lots of menu ideas.

Hilaire Walden is a seasoned cookbook author, and always seems to include recipes in her books that people actually want to make. I Love My Barbecue: More Than 100 of the Most Delicious and Healthy Recipes For the Grill is no exception. Not only are there mouthwatering recipes in this book, but most are also lower fat and fairly healthy. Since the latest food trends focus on healthy, this excellent cookbook is very timely and is one that anyone who likes to barbecue is sure to enjoy.

Not only does the book include delicious foods to grill, such as Indonesian Pork Burgers, Italian Stuffed Chicken Breasts, Crab burgers, and a warm beef salad, but she has great recipes for sauces, relishes, marinades, and toppings as well as spice mixtures. The Jamaican Jerk Seasoning is much better than any store bought seasoning of its kind on the market, and her 5 ingredient Home-made Tomato Ketchup is quick, easy, and yummy.

There is something for everyone here: meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetarian. Innovative desserts, such as Chocolate Brioche Sandwiches (a new family favorite), and Summer Berry Parcels with Cardamom Cream will insure that every part of the meal can be done on the grill and the kitchen won’t have to be messed up.

This excellent cookbook is not your regular, run-of-the-mill grilling book; instead the recipes are unique and innovative. They are easy to follow, most have minimal ingredients, and they turn out exactly like the pictures. Although there are beautiful pictures of some of the dishes, all are not pictured, so you will have to use your imagination of a few.

Anyone who is tired of the same old-same old will enjoy this cookbook. Walden has had a lot of experience, and it shows in the recipes she has chosen to include as well as her focus on healthy without going over the top.

This book is the best! I love cooking on the barbeque and the recipe's in this book take it to a new level. I am no expert when it comes to grilling but even I can make some of the recipe's featured here and amaze friends and family. There is something for everyone here and I love that you get pictures too just to check what it should look like. Great book.

Oh My what a book. There are over 100 mouthwatering recipes in this book for the barbecue. I love to cook on the grill. These recipes will make you want to never use the stove again for dinner. There are meat, poultry, seafood, veggies, and even dessert recipes in this book, as well as tips and tricks. These even a section on sauces, marinades, and salsas. The pictures in the book will have you drooling.

I want to thank NetGalley and publisher for granting me an advanced reader copy of this title. This books gives many helpful tips in preparing barbecue. As an barbecue lover I am amazed at this book. Wow! There are so many delicious BBQ recipes and I totally love the great selection of recipes for sauces. This is a veryimpressive book, I truly enjoyed. I would definitely love to attend a barbecue at this authors home, LOL! The only downside to this book is that it makes me hungry just reading it. 🙂 book highly recommended!!!

First let me say I love cookbooks so when I saw the title of this book, I was all in. However as I turned the pages at the start I wondered if this was an actual cookbook with recipes or a book explaining the various methods to use the different devices made to barbecue. As I continued my journey I did find recipes but was disappointed most of them did not include a photo to use as a guideline to what your finished dish was to look like. Yes the recipes did sound delicious but if you are like me, my decision on whether I want to make a recipe is decided by how a recipe may look. Granted I was provided a copy of this book, I question if I would have bought it if I was perusing the bookstore shelf.

An excellent book for anyone who loves outdoor entertaining. The recipes are easy to follow and there is something for everyone, vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, nut free.... There is also a comprehensive guide to all types of grills and also safe grilling (physical grilling and food safety) in the beginning of the book. So no excuses, get out there and grill!

This book contains over 100 unique recipes to liven up your grill. You will find some familiar recipes, tantalizing new dishes to try, and interesting variations on old favorites. There is a large variety of ingredients and recipes, so everyone should find something that sparks their interest.

The introduction is a wealth of information about all things barbecue. You will find information about different types of barbecue, tips on how to manage and cook on a barbecue, different types of fuel, and essential equipment. The last part of the introduction is especially helpful. It is a comprehensive list of cooking times broken down into types of food and cuts of meat.

The book is divided into six chapters:
1. Poultry
2. Meat
3. Fish & Shellfish
4. Vegetarian Dishes
5. Sauces, Salsas, & Marinades
6. Desserts

One useful feature to pay attention to is the symbols on each recipe that help identify allergens and ingredient preferences - Dairy free, Nut free, Wheat free, Vegetarian, Vegan. Each recipe can easily be adapted to suit your own tastes. I especially liked the variety of sauces, salsas, and marinades used. The dessert chapter was really interesting as well. That is one category of food that often gets forgotten when it comes to barbecuing.

This book is being published in the UK and the USA, so most measurements are given in metric, imperial, and standard US measurements. You may also run across some terms or names of foods that are unfamiliar, but this in no way detracts from the overall recipe.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to grill, especially those looking to try their hand at more unique dishes. I received this as a free ARC from Nourish Books on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
