What cozy mystery would be without its eccentric, little old lady, amateur sleuth? The Serena Jones mystery series has its in the form of Aunt Martha, Serena’s aunt. While Serena is an FBI special agent in the art crimes division, her aunt becomes actively involved in all of her cases. Not only is she involved in solving crime, she is actively involved as Serena’s matchmaker as well. In this third installment of the Serena Jones series, Serena is once again torn between putting aside romantic ideas and her interest in both her partner, Tanner, and her apartment superintendent, Nate, who has many and varied talents. I must admit to mentally yelling at her about halfway through this book, “Just choose already!”
Serena had thought that a short vacation at Martha’s Vineyard with her aunt and parents would be a relaxing time away. When no one showed up to pick them up from the Ferry’s dock, the family took a taxi to the home of Serena’s father’s best friend whose engagement party they had come to attend only to find that he had died in a suspicious fall. Was it an accident? Was it related to a call he had placed to the FBI over antiquities smuggling, or was it related to the changes he was making to his will? Serena dove into solving the mystery as a way of dealing with her grief. Through unexpected circumstances, both Tanner and Nate ended up joining Serena and her investigation, both vying for her attention when she most needed to focus on the case at hand, and then there is always the “helpful” Aunt Martha.
If you are looking for a lighthearted summer read, you have found your book! Over Maya Dead Body is a great travel read. I finished it at home in two days. I thank NetGalley and Revell Publishing for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I received no monetary compensation.

I am reviewing a copy of Over Maya Dead Body through Revell and Netgalley:

When FBI Agent Serena Jones goes to Martha's Vineyard with her family, she's looking forward to four days of rest and relaxation, and to attend a friend's Engagement Party, but when they arrive at Jack's house they are met by Police. It appears he fell on a rock, and cracked his skull, but did he really just fall?

Could Jack's New fiancé have pushed him?

As they are looking around Maya's Father is ran down and nearly killed.

Is Jack's death tied in with his nephew and his nephews possible involvement in a smuggling ring?

Can Serena help solve this crime before others get hurt, or will she find it difficult to focus when the two men in her life show up?

Will Serena make it through this vacation? Find out in Over Maya Dead Body!

Five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

I have loved this series since I read book one, needless to say I was super excited for this one! I had exceedingly high expectations for this book, and it met and surpassed every single one! I loved that so many of the loose ends that have trailed throughout the series were perfectly tied up, I also loved that there were two big developments that I had predicted since book one that I was actually right about!
I enjoyed this book so much, I hated to set it down and even when I had to my mind still kept spinning trying to figure everything out! I love Serena as a character so much, she is just so fun and such a great main character!
Eep, I just loved this book so much! Especially that ending, ahh pure bliss!
I truly loved everything about this book, it will definitely have a spot on my favorite books of 2017 list and I foresee rereading Over Maya Dead Body as well as the first two books many times in the future!
I highly recommend this book, though I would recommend starting with A Fool and His Monet, I think the awesomeness of this series is best read in order! I can't wait to see what Sandra Orchard writes next!

I received an ebook copy of this book from Netgalley. No review required. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

What a fun conclusion to the Serena Jones Mystery Series!

Aunt Martha continues to be a riot. She is so eager to be a part of the action and sticks her neck out routinely in search of clues.

The author takes Serena, Nate and Tanner out of St. Louis in Over Maya Dead Body. This forces Serena to see Nate and Tanner at the same time and in a different environment. I was thrilled with who she ends up with at the end of the novel.

Speaking of the ending, the final pages were spectacular. I was smiling ear to ear as I read the conclusion and epilogue.

I look forward to what the author offers next.

I'm so sad that this was the last book in the series. I absolutely loved going on adventures with Serena, Nate, Tanner, and Aunt Martha. They were an absolute blast! I highly recommend reading all three of these books and falling in love with the characters for yourself. Over Maya Dead Body was a wonderful conclusion to the series and tied up multiple loose ends in the series, including the series long debate between Nate or Tanner :)

I loved books 1 and 2 in this series but felt book 3 was even better! It drove me nuts trying to figure out who Serena would choose in the end. The mysteries they were trying to solve kept taking twists and turns. Aunt Martha is a hoot! Great characters, great story line, highly recommend this series.

Another entertaining adventure with Serena Jones! It's fun, witty and the mystery is revealed at a perfect pace to keep you guessing and reading "just one more chapter". Serena Jones, her family and the two men in her life are enjoyable to spend time with (although you may find yourself on either Team Tanner or Team Nate) and the plot, involving the smuggling of antiquities taught me a lot about the art world. All in all, another winner from Sandra Orchard.
