I laughed so hard at one point in this book that I had to set my e-reader done. I just love Alice Clayton. I want to be her best friend. Whenever she releases a new book I have to clear my schedule because I know I'll want to read it right away and not put it down until I'm finished.

A very nice end to the Hudson Valley series. While this book can stand alone it is more enjoyable if you have read the previous books in the series. As always Clayton does an excellent job of mixing humor and sensuality.

I loved this book!! Out of the entire series, this by far has been my favorite book!! Funny, sweet and an awesome read!!

Archie Bryant doesn't understand why his dad has to bring in an "outsider" to save the hotel. He thinks they're doing just fine without this tiny, bossy woman. So, instead of embracing the changes, Archie fights Clara tooth and nail about every little thing like TV's in the guest rooms. According to Archie, TV's will hurt the activities and community of The Bryant Mountain Hotel. (Think modern day "Dirty Dancing." ) Well, too bad, so sad for Archie. In fact, Archie is sexually attracted to the new, bossy woman zipping through his hotel. Can you feel the sexual tension? The struggle is very real.

Yes, Buns is a bit more serious than the first two because Clara had a more traumatic upbringing. She's scared of holidays, and she's super insecure about people abandoning her. So, she abandon's them first. You see, Clara's a bit of a commitment phob. She's not an emotional person. So the question is, will Archie climb the wall or let Clara walk away?

Another fantastic book by Alice Clayton! With every book she writes, she gets funnier and funnier! I can hardly wait to see what she does next!

Clayton is back in top form with the third installment in her Hudson Valley romance series. Buns contains all the elements that make all her books so entertaining to read. Like in her previous books, this novel features a strong, independent female protagonist with a full, satisfying life. Clara is a confident, accomplished woman with a killer job and tight-knit group of female friends. The rebranding of the hotel was a unique, fascinating subplot within the larger romance narrative. Clayton also providing readers with glimpses into the relationships of characters from her other books with numerous, fun cameo scenes.

As always, Clayton writes entertaining stories full of witty banter and just the right amount of humour. The sexy times are comfortably vanilla, yet surprisingly hot. Clayton also has fun with foreplay. Only she can make dyeing Easter eggs sound kinky. Likewise, this will make readers hungry in more than one way. Clayton is the master of writing mouth watering dishes. The baking sounded absolutely delicious and will surely have readers craving homemade buns.

The Hudson Valley series felt reminiscent of Sex and the City, particularly the episodes where the girls travel to the New York countryside. The aspects related to the marketing of the hotel will appeal also to fans reality shows like Gordon Ramsey's Hotel Hell.

I highly recommend the entire Hudson Valley series to any readers looking for fun, feminist romance novels full of food, farmers and frisky fun!

Such a sweet read and a perfect round off to the series. I immediately fell for Archie and enjoyed watching him and Clara get to know each other. I particularly loved how strong Clara's character is - one might even say Bossy! ;) The growth and learning they go through together is real and I was there with them every step of the way.

With every new installment in The Hudson Valley series, my love for Alice Clayton's amazing writing solidifies!! Buns is the third book in this endearing series and is officially my new favorite (yes, I know I said that about the prior books too lol)! I love the fact that Ms. Clayton takes realistic and relatable characters and works her literary magic to make a fantastic storyline!! Clara and Archie both had their own reasons for keeping their guards up, but from the beginning I was keeping my fingers crossed they could help put back together each others broken pieces. Their backstories really tugged at my heartstrings and I thought Alice did a great job with conveying not only their pain, but the journey to finding happiness again. I LOVED that Clara was best friends with Roxie and Natalie, I enjoyed getting updates from both of them throughout the book and loved reading the banter between the three ladies!! Being that this series is set in the amazingly beautiful Hudson Valley, NY, I REALLY feel the need to take a road trip to visit every time I dive back into this series. I am truly hoping Alice Clayton has more up her sleeve in the future for the Hudson Valley crew!!!

As usual Alice Clayton did not fail to deliver. This book was full of humor, passion and love, and the story-line kept you invested until the very end.

A good time as always. A little more on the less comical side than I'm used to with Alice Clayton. But nonetheless a great romance book.

I like this book. It was well written. Love when they argued. I just felt like Clara wasn't developed enough for me. Since this story was all one perspective, I needed more depth from that character. I still liked the story...just not as much as I had hoped.

Oh. My. GEEEE. This book, however impossible it may seem, surpasses the others in the series as the best, most awesomest one yet.

Clara is pretty much everything I love in a heroine. She's kick-ass, amazing at her job, loyal to her friends, but has serious attachment and self-esteem issues, thanks to being abandoned/unwanted by pretty much everyone in her life before age 15. She's a wanderer, used to uprooting her life after every consulting job. She is complicated and nuanced, both likeable and difficult.

Archie is in many ways Clara's polar opposite. He has practically visible roots dug into his family's generations-old resort. I love his old-fashioned perspective, as well as the fact that he's surrounded by employees that are like family.

When these two get together, the air is practically combustible. Their meet-cute is hilarious (think near-death experience), and their hatred-to-heat is awesome and believable. I love the cameos by other characters in the series. Basically, I can't think of anything I'd change about this story.
