When her great-aunt dies and unexpectedly leaves her everything, Grace flies to Dublin to sort out the estate and sell her aunt’s flower shop. Alone because her bestie cancelled last minute, she intended to get the shop sold and everything sorted as quickly as possible, fit in a small amount of sight seeing, and be back at work in a week. Work is her life and this trip is just an annoyance she can’t avoid.

Stepping off the pavement to take a photo, forgetting the cars are on the other side of the road, Grace causes a fiery redhead to drive into a bollard, and so set the scene for a less than friendly relationship with her realtor, Kerry. There is clearly more to the tension that a buckled bumper though, and as the story unfolds Grace gets to see how much the flower shop means to the local community. While she feels some guilt about the lost jobs and impact on Kerry’s family, ultimately Grace has every intention of cutting and running – just as soon as she has kissed an Irish girl.

This is a light and fun romance. The characters are endearing; Kerry’s family and the locals take Grace to their hearts in the way of welcoming small villages, especially as they loved her aunt. Grace is the archetypal workaholic who comes to realise some things are just more important. And along the way we learn a little of her great-aunt’s life and the impact the young Grace had on her when they met years earlier.

We get a great insight into the workings of a small Irish village, different in feel from so many American ‘Small Town’ tales, and the author clearly loved both the atmosphere, the community and the countryside, as it is drawn with loving care. The village and surrounds play an important part in the story, grounding and solidifying the characters and sense of belonging, Kerry is very much a part of her landscape.

Ultimately of course the story is one of girl meets girl, resists because it’s only a week, gives in and then we suffer the angst of whether they can make it work, how it will resolve. It’s a very traditional tale, but with enough of a spin to make it feel original and engaging. The angst is real enough, without being too overdone, the attraction is palpable and there is a lot of very hot sex… after all it can only ever be a week long fling.

Kris Bryant always seems to find something new to say and a new way to say it, taking a very simple story and making it original and engaging. Definitely an enjoyable summer read.

The premise isn't particularly new and the book itself not particularly memorable. It's not one I will re-read, however I enjoyed spending a rainy afternoon reading it. Grace is very likeable as a character and the Irish setting is lovely. It's a nice romance.

I gave this 3.5 stars mainly because it is a very sweet romance but the story has been done in some way before. The idea wasn't new. I will say that this my first book by Bryant, but it won't be my last. She has an interesting and fluid writing style and her story telling is excellent.

The book is basically about Grace who has inherited her aunts shop and flat. She travels from her home in Dallas Texas to Ireland to settle her aunts affairs and sell the business. Enter estate agent Kerry who nearly runs her down before their first meeting. They end up falling in love. But Grace also falls in love with Ireland and it's people. Now I get that Ireland is a beautiful country and is totally under described in the book. It is a truly magical place and I feel that was lost in Bryant's descriptions.

It all ends on a good note. Grace takes heed of her aunts words and wisdom and moves to Ireland and everyone is really happy. I do love a happy ending but I'd guessed the ending before the ending happened.

Yes I would recommend this book. It is a nice light read and you can feel the happiness and welcome of the community.

‘Forget Me Not’ is a wonderful story of love, family and home – and two beautiful women. Kris Bryant has set the scene perfectly. I felt I was right there in Ireland with amazing scenery, friendly locals and the kind of life we would all jump at given half a chance. When Grace Danner flies to the Emerald Isle to sort out her inheritance from her Aunt she meets real estate agent Kerry Mulligan. Kerry might seem frosty at first but Grace is intrigued. The gorgeous redhead has her hooked and who can blame her? I loved seeing how their relationship developed and the emotional intensity was tear-inducing at times. It was so romantic and the sex was hot, steamy and inventive. Grace got to see a side of herself she didn’t know existed and she had to think seriously about what she really wanted from life. This is a book I certainly won’t be able to forget for some time. Five Stars!

I've enjoyed Kris Bryant's other stories, but this one didn't grab me. It's a nice romance, but nothing happens that you can't see coming from miles away. I honestly knew how the book would end before I finished the first chapter.

The characters are likeable enough, but because it's told in first person you really only get a clear picture of Grace, I'd have preferred more of an idea of where Kerry was coming from.

There's very little tension in the book (other than the contrived angst that colours their first few meetings). Most of the rest of the angst stems from the (overly repeated) knowledge that they live in two different places and Grace will have to return home.

The supporting characters aren't given much to do (and honestly one of the most intriguing was Kerry's high school rival, but it doesn't get followed up). Grace's over the top love affair with all things Irish also had me rolling my eyes.

There's nothing bad here, just nothing of any real substance. Even though the leads spend quite a bit of time together (over an initially short period) I still didn't buy into their insta-relationship.

I was also slightly irritated by the lack of contractions in the writing, the formality kept taking me out of the story. This is an alright way to spend a few hours, but I enjoyed her other books more. If you haven't read her novels before I suggest starting with Jolt, it's my favourite.

I'm a really big fan of this author and her writing is just the style that I like. This book started off slower than a lot of her books for me so it took awhile for me to really get in to it. I wasn't hooked until the lesbian bar scene, that's all I'll say.

I liked both characters but probably liked Kerry a bit more than the main character Grace. I didn't really see why Grace couldn't give up her life for Kerry as much as the character did. Their chemistry was great though, which is a staple of this author. Her sex scenes are always hot because the characters feel comfortable and right together.

I do have to say a lot of phrases were repeated and I found it slightly annoying. There were a lot of "wanted to kiss me" "I don't want to bring up the kiss" "I'm only here for a week" sentences, over and over again. There could have been some cleanup in that area.

Overall I thought it was an entertaining book per usual. Not her best but definetly worth purchasing.

This is a very nice romance. I was immediately drawn into the story. The pace of the book was good and the story flowed well.

The main characters of the story are Grace Danner and Kelly Mulligan. Grace is from Dallas, Texas, and Kelly is from a small town in Ireland. Grace goes to Ireland to take care of her deceased aunt’s affairs. Kelly is handling the sale of the aunt’s flower shop. Their love affair develops slowly. The reader really gets to know and understand the two characters. Although there are other characters in the story, Grace and Kelly monopolize most the narrative.

The story is very believable, thus enabling readers to relate to it. The way Ms. Bryant writes is so well done that I could picture Ireland as if I were there.

Anyone who is looking for a pleasant romance would enjoy reading this book. I highly recommend it and give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

So workaholic Dallas girl, Grace inherits a flower shop in Ireland. Grace decides to fly to Ireland and hire hot Irish real estate agent, Kerry. Planning selling the flower shop quickly and returning to her all consuming job in Dallas. Kerry of course makes this very difficult. I have to say after reading this one, I am a little bit in love with Kerry. This was five stars from start to finish for me. This isn't one you want to miss..

I liked a lot of this book, except for a few parts that really, really annoyed me.

Grace is a creative director of an ad agency in Dallas who is quite the workaholic. Her Aunt has passed in Ireland, leaving her flower shop to Grace. But Grace cannot figure out why at first. Her first meeting with Kerry is quite an explosive meeting as well.

Kerry is the real estate agent who is assigned to the flower shop that that Grace can sell it.

They don't really get on at first, for a bunch of reasons, but slowly they do get closer, but they have a humongous hurdle to get over. Grace lives (and her life is in) Dallas, and Kerry's life and family is in Ireland. So neither are really sure if they should start something that appears to have no way to flourish.

I liked the characters for the most part (would have loved to see more of Morgan, Grace's best friend) and the romance was well paced. But, honestly, the 'Oh my, how backwards and stupid are those in the US' schtick got really tedious. It was harped on repeatedly. The author doesn't have to go over and over that so many times. I get it. Irish are perfect in every way and the US are all idiots. The other thing that drove me crazy was how many times it was either implied or said outright that Grace was wrong to want to work hard at her job and have responsibilities other than her family. Again, we were bashed over the head with it repeatedly.

I have more complex emotions about the ending than usual for a lesbian romance than usual too. I knew that something along the lines of what was going to happen had to happen, and for the most part I guess it was okay, but, I guess how I read the middle of the novel impacted the fact that I didn't totally love the ending either.

It wasn't a bad novel at all, but, I do think that some of it wasn't my style/speed.

I got this ARC through Netgalley on behalf of Bold Strokes Books.

Ireland has always held a certain romanticism with its green countryside, beautiful coastline, and friendly people. Forget Me Not not only captures this romanticism but elevates it to level expert . Native Texan Grace has no idea what hit her when she meets fiery Irish lass, Kerry on her first day on the Emerald Isle. These two fascinating and lovable women dance around their intense attraction until they simply can't ignore it any longer. It's breathtaking once they finally do give in. Unfortunately, time and geography are not on their side as Grace must return to Texas. It's a gauntlet of emotion and feels in this story ranging from joyful, to agonizing, to relief, to desperate, and so much more. The supporting cast is equally captivating as well as the "old country" itself. Their journey is so well worth it, and you'll become as smitten with them as they did with each other.

This book has been just ok for me. I found something missing. I don't know if is in the chemistry between Kerry and Grace, not entirely good on my opinion. Or maybe because there are some points not completely solved in the storyline o hastily ended. Then when the sexual relationship begins, the rest of the matters fade away. Kerry is suddenly not busy at all. I have found the secondary characters vague and unsignificant in the story. In short, I think that it is a book for just to pass the time.

A sweetly told, traditional romance, with all of the expected moments that have become standard for the genre that were saved from tedium by two lovely characters who genuinely fell in love in a gradual evolution of fondness from an initially powerful attraction. I have always enjoyed the works of this author and will continue to expect a solid return with each successive volume.

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. This book was absolutely amazing, I immediately connected with Grace and felt immersed into this book through every turn. The culture of Ireland and Kerry brought this book to life. I was unable to put this book down, the chemistry between the characters was insane, and you will not be disappointed as you start on Grace's journey.

I enjoyed this book but wouldn't say it was one of Bryant's best. I liked Grace she was a character I enjoyed reading about. Kerry was more someone I had to warm up to and found her reasons to not like Grace at the start and the way she treated her to be maybe slightly over the top.

I found the relationship to be more so focused on the sex. And I will say the sex was hot. But I felt it was unclear to me as to what made these two the forever after couple.

The pace of the book was good and found it an easy fun read.

I am rating this book 3.5 stars.

When I think of the color green, I almost always think of Ireland (okay, maybe not). I do believe this is the first story I have read which is so deliciously Irish. As I read, I learned which in my opinion is fantastic and one of the reasons I enjoy reading so much. I learned about the landscape, people, and of course the food. Due to the descriptors, I was quickly caught up and interested in what would happen to not only the main characters but family members and friends. Grace Danner, who am I when I am not working? Kerry Mulligan, who am I if I do not have family? When they meet, bam!

I really liked the concept of the story but I was kind of left disappointed with it. It seemed to be repetitive a lot and I didn't feel the characters connect. I felt like there was nothing really there and they didn't really like each other and all of a sudden they got involved.
Towards the end there were just too many sex scenes just put in there and it felt like they were there as a filler kind of. It also has a lot of American/ Texan stereotypes that were kind of annoying.

I rec'd an ARC from NetGalley/Bold Stroke Books in exchange for an honest review. No synopsis necessary. Mainly set in Ireland, which is beautifully described, this is an erotic romance with comedy between American Grace and Irish Kerry. As usual, Ms. Bryant does not disappoint. 4 stars.

This was a perfectly nice romance, but not anything more than that. I like Bryant as an author very much, but this book is my least favorite of hers. There was just something there that stopped me from connecting to the characters, the setting and the story.

The story itself, is not anything new. A woman inherits property from a relative. She goes there to sell it, but finds herself in love with the place and the people. Unfortunately, I have read this story quite a few times, just different settings. I was able to guess every single thing that happened, so nothing was actually new to me.

I have always wanted to visit Ireland, so I was excited about the setting. I can not really tell where the disconnect was but I could not really picture some of the places the characters went. A castle that didn't really look like a castle because it was new. Okay so what did it look like than? Then they went to a real old castle, again what did it look like? I just had to pull up a random castle from my memories.

When it came to the romance, it was pretty well done like all of Bryant's books. You could tell there was chemistry and a connection between the characters. The sex scenes were steamy. But towards the end of the book, there was just too many of them. It was just sex scene after sex scene, and I had to stop myself from skimming over them. Bryant should have just kept it to a few really well done intimate scenes and stopped there.

Even though this book was just okay for me, I think people will enjoy it. It was just missing that spark that I am use to in other Bryant books.

An ARC was given to me by BSB, for a honest review.

When Grace's Great Aunt dies, she leaves her flower shop in Ireland to her. Grace travels to Ireland with the intention of selling the shop quickly and get back to her 70 hour a week job in advertising, her friends and her condo. But the people she meets there, particularly the fiery Kerry, begin to change her mind about what's really important in life.

This is written in first person and because of this I couldn't escape from the often arrogant and narrow minded thoughts from the main character. I found her attitude towards Ireland and all the differences she encountered sad and frustrating. I felt like she was always looking down on the country and the people. I couldn't believe she insinuated that there aren't safe carseats in Ireland, like if its not American then it's obviously not good enough. More than that I couldn't believe that Kerry didn't defend her country after she has shown time and again to be proud of her country's beautiful landscapes and rich history. To just brush off a comment like that and say to Grace "sure if you think you should send an American carseat then you should". Over and over again Grace's thoughts grated on me. I will say she became increasingly self aware in the end and started changing her views - good for her!

I was bogged down by my frustrations in this book and found it hard to enjoy. I also didn't feel the connection between Kerry and Grace. I felt like it just sort of appeared with no tension. And then it was just sex scene after sex scene and while very steamy and well written the sheer number left no room for development.

This was a sweet little read. The author has a talent for creating a wonderful cast of secondary characters both in Dublin and in Dallas. The ladies visit some beautiful locations throughout the book that are really, truly, beautifully described.
