I loved this book. Hunter and Emerson were fantastic. He was strong, hot, famous and special with a heart. She's feisty, funny, smart and the kind of character you can really get behind. I loved the dynamics between the two, how they brought out things in each other. The play between the characters was fun and heartfelt from beginning to end.

Tracy Wolff has done a fabulous job with Down & Dirty. The book centers around an up-and-coming real estate agent and a famous quarterback. While their first meeting was disastrous, from there, the pair falls in love while spending hours trying to find a home for the athlete. When you first meet Hunter, you see him as the typical arrogant jock. Tracy Wolff does a great job on building the character up and showing that there is more to him than what meets the eye. Emerson is a newbie to the real estate industry. She's living paycheck to paycheck and has a horrid start to her new job. I loved Emerson's character. She was headstrong and held her own. The only thing I would've wished for was more buildup but Wolff did a great job within the timeline of making the relationship believable between the two.

I'm obsessed with Tracy Wolff's writing style. She's hilarious, magical, and beyond talented! Down & Dirty was hot and explosive!

This was a fun sweet semi sports romance. Loved the banter and flirting! It dragged a little in the middle but picked right back up.

A really heartbreaking but funny at times story. This book started out with the full on funny but you knew somewhere lurking in Hunter's life there was something that was just going to break your heart. This story deals with love, life & loss. The love between siblings & family as well as the new budding love between two people. The life that these people have lived & their experiences in that life both good & bad & how it's defined the people they are today. The loss, the gut wrenching & heartbreaking loss of a sibling, a mother, a friend, a lover. The finality of that empty space left inside them when they say goodbye, whether it be permanently or until they can deal with the loss. This is where we meet Hunter & Emerson, the need for a home for his niece & nephew brings him into Emerson's life. Starting a new job doesn't get any easier when everything in Emerson's life seems to be against her. The untimely meeting with football superstar Hunter is about to throw her life into more chaos than ever before. Hunter can't get over the fact that this sassy, beautiful woman calls him out on his less than stellar apology when he splashes her with a puddle on her first day of her new job. He then makes sure that she's the one to help him look for the house that he desperately needs now that he will have to raise his sisters children. This relationship moves fast & is a chemical explosion waiting to happen. Sweet, sassy & beautiful mixed with smug, sexy & loveable is a sure thing when mixed together. Along with the hilariously hot garden scene & the beautifully sweet niece & nephew this book will tug at your heartstrings. I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would & definitely recommend it.

Thank you for allowing me to receive an ARC of this book. I had some trouble staying connected to the characters and the plot in this story. I am choosing to not review it at this time as I don't want to deter any readers from purchasing the book and reading it. I completely understand that just because I didn't end up loving the book doesn't mean others won't. I am still more than happy to help promote it on my blog. Thank you again for the opportunity to read it.

DOWN & DIRTY is a fast paced romance with lots of steamy sexual encounters. I do love those hot and heavy scenes but I wished there was a little more character development and a little less steam. This is where I'm torn. Wolff, in the end, made my heart hurt for Hunter and Emerson but there was still something missing in their connection. If you emotionally connect with me, which Wolff does, then its a really great read. If you emotionally invest me, then its an outstanding read. DOWN & DIRTY was a truly great read that borders outstanding so I'm giving it 4.5 stars.
Quick, easy and entertaining and still manages to pull on your heart strings, DOWN & DIRTY was a great contemporary romance escape.

Emerson and Hunter have a disastrous first meeting. Emerson is late to her first day of work and Hunter just makes the start of her day even worse. I liked Emerson's spunk but found her trying to blame her problems on anyone or anything but herself to be ridiculous. She was unprepared and that was on no one but herself. Hunter steps in and saves the day by having Emerson show him some houses instead of her boss. Emerson was still a bit miffed and Hunter was intrigued by her. Instead of fawning all over him, Emerson tells him exactly what she thinks of him, which isn't much. I enjoyed their banter. Hunter has serious personal issues and has to cope with the impending death of his twin sister, and the care of her two young children. He does not go into the details as to why he needs a family home, just that he needs one. Emerson quickly realizes that her boss was just trying to get the biggest commission possible and didn't really listen to what Hunter said he wanted. She pays attention and tries her best to get what he wants.
They both feel the spark between them whenever they are together. Fighting it proves useless and they both agree to give in. Hunter knows Emerson is helping him to cope. Emerson knows Hunter was a player, but won't allow him to strong-arm her into accepting whatever he wants to give her. She has baggage issues from her mother and her penchant to marrying rich men, getting tossed aside and then finding a new rich step-father for Emerson to have to deal with. It has left her a bit jaded and Hunter is clueless as to all of this. He does get himself into trouble quite a bit, but Emerson does communicate enough to let him know where he went wrong. She doesn't sugarcoat it and admits to her own issues being part of the problem.
I did like how both Emerson and Hunter tried to put the other one first at points in the story. Hunter needed someone to lean on after struggling and Emerson tried to support him without crowding him. I liked how she tried to straddle a tough line and let him know she was there for him but on his terms. Their story was quick and a lot happens during it. There was definitely an insta-love element to this book but it was done in a way that I found to be credible under the circumstances. I would have liked to have seen more of this couple together, but overall enjoyed this read. I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

This is one of the funniest, sexiest, sweetest, most sad books I've ever read. So grab a glass of whatever you like to drink, some tissues because you won't just need them for crying, you'll need them because you'll laugh so hard your eyes will water and sit down and read this book. It is amazing.
When red-headed Emerson needs her car to work on her first day of work it won't. It's raining. And she gets the absolutely slowest Uber driver in the state for her ride. That's not the end, that's just the beginning of this crazy day for her.
When Hunter pulls into the real estate agency he hits a puddle and splashes this chick in a white shirt with the dirty water. Plus for him, she's hot and has wild red hair and a fiery temper. But he doesn't mind it at all.
This is just the beginning of this crazy funny, sappy, sad, and loving book.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The chemistry between Emerson and hunter is off the charts. I absolutely loved this read!

I was an early reader of Tracy's and am ashamed to say that I had not read anything of hers in a while until I was gifted this to review . I won't make that mistake again! I was reminded why I do loved her writing in the first place . This book was a page turner with the heat of a hot summer day! Loved it.

Down & Dirty is a well-written, fast-paced romance centered around a real-estate agent and a football player.
Quarterback Hunter Browning and rookie realtor Emerson Day have a less than ideal first meeting, but the chemistry is instantaneous despite Emerson's infuriation. As she shows him houses over the course of the next few days, their relationship progresses but outside tragedies may prove the undoing of it all.
The book is a very quick and entertaining read. The chemistry is well-written and palpable, and the premise is unique for a story about a football star. However, the characters and character development are fairly shallow. This could be attributed to the length of the book, but neither of the characters seem particularly fleshed out as the majority of the attention is paid to the plot. The relationship in general seems strongly infeasible - the majority of the book takes place over only a few days. The realism of the chemistry is enough though that the one dimensionality can be skimmed over, especially in a quick read. This would be suitable for a fast, light read for romance lovers.
Thanks to the publisher for an ARC in exchange for a fair review!

If you can get a past the first few chapters, which feature not only a plethora of curse words and derogatory remarks from the male protagonist but also an almost complete character change in the female protagonist, this ends up being a pretty decent love story. Despite the first few chapters, the characters are likable and we learn more about the background of the male character than the female character, which is a bit of a switch in the romance genre.

Hunter is the star quarterback for the San Diego Lightning who needs to find a family home. His twin sister is dying from cancer and he needs a place to live with her two kids once she passes on. Emerson has just moved to San Diego to be a realtor when she meets Hunter. He is immediately taken with her and asks her to help him find a house. Their relationship moves at a frenetic pace and within weeks they are living together in his new home. I thought this story had potential, but it moved way too fast and I didn't see a connection between the two of them besides lust. With any romance novel you have to suspend reality, but I didn't feel like Hunter and Emerson could ever be a couple in real life.

Great read! I can't believe I cried towards the end...keep up the great work!

I was hooked from chapter one with Down and Dirty. I only intended to start it to kill some time while waiting for a friend to arrive. However, I ended up reading 50% and struggled to stop and get on with my day after that. This read definitely surprised me.
Down and Dirty captured my interest most because of the banter and battle of wits between Emerson and Hunter. From the second they meet they're hurling jabs at one another, and I liked that Emerson could hold her own against Hunter. As they spent more time together the banter became more playful and flirty. I definitely thought there was chemistry between them, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop.
The plot also kept me engaged with its mix of angst and lightheartedness. I will admit that having got to the end I'm not sure I believe in the relationship completely because of the short time period. I felt the book moved away from the playful and flirty banter in the second half and focused more on the sex. If I'm honest, I did skim these sections more. For me some of the chemistry was lost in favour of standard sex scenes, which I'm becoming bored of when they're repeated numerous times. It feels more like a filler than adding anything. I wanted more of them getting to know each other to build up first.
Overall, I did enjoy this read. The first half was better than the second, but the characters pulled me through. It had a mix of light and dark that made me smile and pulled of my heartstrings, so pick up a copy if the blurb sounds interesting.

This book was my introduction to Tracy Wolff and after reading one chapter I knew I had stumbled onto something truly special, her beautifully crafted story line grabbed me from the get-go and held on tight until the last page is turned. Have to say it left a spectacular first impression, I'll definitely be hunting down more of her books in the very near future!
Hunter has found himself a spot one of my list of all time favorite male characters, he is everything you want in a strong alpha male character, but also has a softer side that you catch glimpses of throughout the story. I also really liked Emerson's character, I found her to be very relatable, inspiring, and at times I secretly wished that I was in her place... she is a very lucky lady!
Highly recommend this one, it's one of those reads that will have you laughing one moment, near tears the next, and the sexy times are sure keep your heart racing and your temperature rising!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title

I have read a few books by Tracy Wolff and am usually excited when I see that a new one out. It was no different with this quick read about an NFL player and a new to the business real estate agent.
Hunter and Emerson are great together.
I liked that there was more to Hunter than self-importance and womanizing. Emerson was tough and just trying to do her best with what life had thrown her. I liked that she wanted to do her job well. Their relationship starts on a rather unfortunate morning with a puddle and grows rather quickly from there. I wish this book were longer and that we got to see more of some of the characters but overall I liked it. I found it entertaining and worth it if you like other books by Wolff.

There are many different things that this book tries to be:
A sports romance a Super Bowl winning quarterback and Sexiest Man Alive and a poor real estate/artist.
A Cinderella story including an actual ball/charity dance
A heart-wrenching story of loss that will really bring tears to the reader’s eyes.
An erotic novel that includes the longest episode of oral sex that I’ve ever read in a regular romance novel
A story with cute kids who will win everyone’s hearts
A feisty heroine who is trying to make it on her own instead of depending on her mom, stepdad, or any rich football player who comes her way facing the unfair treatment of her boss, a stand-in for Cinderella’s evil step-mother
An insta-love romance in which the hunky hero takes one look at the heroine and is immediately captivated
A heroine with a secret phobia of water that miraculously disappears when she needs it to
If any of that appeals to you, you’ll like this book. If you’d like the book to go more in depth on any one of these plotlines or have a bit fewer of so many different aspects, then you might the book a bit frustrating, but still enjoyable.
I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book does not disappoints! Truly Tracy's style! I love that the story does not revolve around the female....awesome page turner.
