It's a slight tale but I enjoyed it, and could almost hear the Scott Joplin in the background. I would read more in the series (should there ever be any) but would not bother to seek them out

This was a quick, fun read that wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I'm still so glad I picked up. The setup for the "long con" was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed the distant future, world-building it was all based around.

The plot itself was pretty fast-paced, and sometimes I had to reread to make sure I was following everything, but this was very much a plus of this story for me. The characters were dynamic, with great backstories that went back a full generation.
I'll be looking forward to see what Bill Patterson comes up with next.
