This book presents a great modern look at the timeless quality that is compassion. This is a great read for millennial audiences to introduce and reinforce compassion.
I loved this book and the idea behind it.
It's just a reminder to slow down, don't be so hard on yourself, and think about others.
I need to reread so I can create a habit of doing this nightly.
This is more then a book. Its a beautifully written guidebook to life. The author has written a lovely book that immerses you into compassion, how to live it, what it means to the world and how to put into practice her suggestions for 30 days then change your life forever.
This is wisdom that will change your life for the better. The author shows how in our busy lives we can forget compassion and the wisdom behind it. She teaches the reader to gently incorporate more compassion into our daily lives to improve our own outlook and the world around us. It is sensible, beautifully written and a must read for everyone that is seeking to improve upon themselves. I highly recommend The Compassion Revolution for your reading enjoyment and enlightenment.
Thank you for the ARC which did not influence my review.
A wonderful 30 day plan on how to bring more compassion to your life and the lives of others. The author had a wonderful writing style and gave a lot of personal stories and examples to make the plan seem feasible. I also loved the idea that she is creating a whole community around her revolution complete with the necessary hashtags.
At first sight this looked like the sort of book i would find helpful as who does not need more compassion in their lives? On reading the book however Mercree tells us to rub the soles of our feet. This is impossible for me as I am disabled and can barely touch my feet. When it came to yoga I am afraid I gave the book up completely.
It is an enjoyable read and I would recommend it for others. Just not suitable for me.
I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary review.
