I have not read the first book in the series and did not feel like i needed two and that this can be read as a stand alone book.
Although i liked this book you can tell an American wrote the book as when Lincoln is talking from his point of view he phones home on his cell, where and English man would call it his mobile phone. Little things like this just stood out in the English thinking/speaking that were not quite correct.
The story was fairly fun and other than the above well written, both had baggage and were pretty stubborn, but Lincoln was always the one who did the most fighting to save their relationship.
Further down the line i may well end up reading book three as the tension between Coop and Pepper was leaping off the pages in their brief interactions.
Loved the book. Beck went home to get away when she found out her boyfriend is not who she thought he was. Lincoln wants her back and will do anything to get her back especially when he finds out she's pregnant. Lincoln's obligations, his mother and Bec's insecurities put a wedge between the two. Lincoln makes a decision that brings them back together. Recommended read.
The Wedding Planner's Baby was a sweet romance that I adored. Amanda Ashby can tell a story. I was ensnared.
Bec was on the bridge but Emmy - the middle sister - believed in the power of the bridge. Bec was pregnant, but had yet to tell the father Bec was working as a wedding planner with her sisters. Bec had hated coming to the farm when she was a teenager now she was going into business with her sisters and live on the farm. Pepper was the oldest sister and always looked serious and ready for action. Then Pepper told Bec she had a visitor named Lincoln Mathews. Bec told Pepper to tell Lincoln to leave. Bec had went to Argentina for six months and got pregnant and then ran and came back to the farm. Bec had loved Lincoln the first time she had seen him and it had only lasted one week. She had some nude pictures of Lincoln and his family had tried to buy them from her for a lot of money but she refused and that was why she came home. Bec had met a sweet guy in Italy who wanted to be an artist but then she found out he was an English Lord when his mother had come into the bar Bec was working at. Then His mother had invited Bec to lunch and she found out everything Lincoln had told had been lies. Bec and Lincoln had met when the Frisbee he was throwing landed on her beach towel. After talking to Lincoln’s mother Bec had deleted the pictures she had taken of Lincoln all but one. Her sister wanted Bec tot ell Lincoln she was pregnant while he was there. She wanted to wait until she was three months along which would be in two weeks and she wanted to tell him over the phone. Once Lincoln believed the pictures were deleted Lincoln wished her a happy life and was going to return to England until it was mentioned by the driver of Bec’s pregnancy. Victoria was the daughter of Lincoln’s mother’s oldest friend and Theo his younger brother had mentioned she had asked about Lincoln. She was also due to inherit a large fortune. Victoria seemed fine with being with Lincoln but Lincoln only looked at her as a friend. The name of the Farm Bec now lived at was Wishing Bridge farm. Bree’s best friend was Coop and he couldn’t believe she hadn’t told Lincoln about the baby. Coop was the kind of friend who had always been there for Bree when she felt alone or unanchored. Coop was older than Bec but they had been friends ever since he taught her how to skateboard when she was ten. Bec and Coop had tried to kiss once but it just wasn’t good so they stayed friends. Lincoln went right back to the farm after he had talked to Stan who was the driver and making sure he could still have his room. He went to talk to Bec and told her he thought they should get married.
This was a great story and I really enjoyed it. I loved that Bec was so wrong about fitting in and being loved and her sister let her know that. I loved that Lincoln never stopped caring for Bec and he finally figured out a way to fix everything going on including the family estate and get all the repairs done that needed to be done. This was an all around great book. I loved the plot. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.
We’re back at Wishing Bridge Farm. I missed them. The characters brought richness and light to the drag of the everyday. Bec never thought she would be back home. Now more than ever she needs home and family. But more than anything she wants him.
Bec has been the free one of the family. Doing as she pleased. Going where she wanted. Enjoying life to the fullest. Well, maybe she was not expecting it to be enjoyed so much. She now finds herself pregnant and without support. She leaves the father of her child because she feels he has enough to deal with aside from lying to her. She finds that maybe her place in the world has always been back home with her family.
Lincoln had way too much put on him. He had to finally decide what was more important himself and love or the responsibility of others piled with more responsibilities. When did he get to live? That was about to start. He decides to follow his lover back to her country and her hometown. Never expecting to find what he did. This one was fun, yes. Quirky, a given. Sweet. Simple. Complicated. Understanding. Second chance seeking.
This was downright fun, entertaining, light-hearted, and enjoyable. I recommend this one when looking for light uplifting, sometimes frustrating, persistent pursuit read with good characters and a decent pace.
A cute and fluffy read--a fun way to start the week :)
The end of book one ( Falling for the Best Man ) ensured that I was going to sign up for book two--what was Bec's story? What--or who--was she running from, and why? And...a baby? I was intrigued. Not to mention anxious to see who her hero would be...and a titled English lord? Yes, please!
Though I have to admit Lincoln didn't seem particularly British, and Bec was more than a little immature...still, they were both quite likable, and wanting to see them get to an HEA kept me turning the pages. Bec's inner monologue was particularly amusing--I especially felt a kinship with her when she reflected that
All she knew was that she was miserable. And she'd once spent six months trying to study accounting, so she knew a thing or two about misery.
Preach it, sister. Though I had two semesters, so tell me about it.
The Wedding Planner's Baby would work fine as a standalone, if you haven't read the first book yet. One sister left to go--we've got a pretty good idea where Pepper's story is going to go, but it will be nice to have confirmation :)

I am truly enjoying the Sisters of Wishing Bridge Farm series. In The Wedding Planner’s Baby we finally learn who Bec Watson is running home to escape from—one British Lord and all the pomp and circumstance that comes with that title.
Bec fell in love with Lincoln Mathews. Simple artist, Lincoln Mathews. Not the British royal. She can’t separate the two men—nor will she tie him down. She’s just going to run home.
But what happens when Lincoln chases after her? Lincoln is stuck between duty and love. Will he be brave enough to choose love? Can he find a way to keep and love Bec and their baby and help his family?
The Wedding Planner’s Baby is a quick, fun, flirty read. A book about discovering your true self and being true to yourself. Finding happiness even if you need to sacrifice in other areas. I loved how Bec matured through this story—loved how Lincoln did too! Their interactions were adorable and I couldn’t help but root for them to find their happily ever after.
One of my favorite things about this book is not only is it a cute, second chance story, but it is a lighthearted and enjoyable read that makes you smile and laugh at times. Great read.
Bec Watson is the youngest sister and the free spirited girl whom the rest of the family seems to treat as a ghost. Now she finds herself back at Wishing Bridge Farms, pregnant and trying to save the family farm by being a wedding planner. Sure she has her best friend Coop and her sisters for support but the one person she didn't want to see was Lincoln Matthews aka the baby daddy.
After finding out that Lincoln was not who she thought he was (an artist who is really an English Lord) she decides to head back home and get ready for the surprise their vacation fling left her. Now Lincoln has shown up and found out about the baby. He's really likes Bec and decides he can't leave her and his child. There is no way Bec is going to raise this child alone. Now he just needs to convince her he's there for the right reasons.
This is book 2 in the series and it can be read as a standalone. I really enjoy the small town, everyone in your business antics and can't wait for more in the series.
I didn't get a chance to download this title before it archived, so I won't be able to review it.
This was a light and fun romantic read. As the youngest Watson sister, Bec was independent, straight forward and free-spirited. She did what she wanted, when she wanted. Bec did feel like she never fit in with her older sisters and was the odd woman out with them so she traveled in order to find her place in the world. Now she's back at the family farm because she is pregnant and the father isn’t in the picture…or is he? She came back home because the father Lincoln misled her about who he really was, about a lot of his life- forgot to mention he is Lord Lincoln Matthews. He ended up letting her walk away. So she came home to raise her baby and try to forget the man that stole her heart.
However, Lincoln came to see her at her family’s farm, trying to get back with her. Wanting her forgiveness and some other concessions from her. He doesn’t know she is pregnant so will he be ready for a baby or will he cut and run again?
This was a good romance but at times the characters were a bit frustrating and they didn’t seem as connected. I guess it would have helped if I could have gotten a bit more chemistry than what was shown in the story. Otherwise, this was a good 2nd chance romance read.
My rating: 4.3 stars ****

Bec has always been free-spirited and was never going to have kids. Now she’s about to have a baby and wants to do it all by herself the way she has always done everything. It doesn’t matter that the father-to-be is an English Lord, especially since he lied to her about that.
Lincoln has always had a lot of responsibilities being an English Lord. When he finds out Bec is carrying his baby, he just wants to find a way to be a part of the child’s life. His family is counting on him to save their estate. Will he choose them or the family he will have with Bec?
I loved this story so much! I was hooked from the very first page. It was funny and swoon worthy and just such a great story. I love Bec because she is so free-spirited. She tries her best to resist Lincoln because she doesn’t want to get hurt. He just wants her to trust him but that proves to be a huge job after the way she found out that he had lied to her. I was rooting for Lincoln the whole time! I would highly recommend this book!
The Wedding Planner's Baby by Amanda Ashby is a book I wanted to love but found myself liking instead. The plot is interesting enough but I just couldn’t like Bec. I wanted her to behave differently; seeing that she was making mistakes. Lincoln, on the other hand, behaves so much more mature. It makes you wonder why he fell for such immaturity.
This read well as a stand-alone but follows “Falling for the Best Man” which concerns Bec’s sister. In the end is a HEA, with not cliffhanger. This is a couple I would like to see ten years down the road, just to see Bec and Lincoln making it for the long haul.
3.5 STARS
"The Wedding Planner's Baby" by Amanda Ashby. Lincoln and Bec - two people that met and fell in love, but sometimes, it takes a bit more for things to go right. While I didn't find the characters too complex, I did struggle a bit with Bec, our heroine. I'm not a big fan of secrets, especially ones that impact another's life so largely, so she did annoy me a bit with that. She was somewhat immature but at times, I really liked her too. My heart went out to her and she grew on me. I liked Lincoln from the start, even if he also kept a secret or two. I found him to be a bit more endearing. There are some obstacles in their way, besides Bec, from outside sources that made for some interesting times. Overall, it's a light and easy read. I will certainly look to read future works by Ms. Ashby too. (received copy for honest review)
A delightful read! I enjoyed the differences between Lincoln and Bec. Their trials and tribulations as they find a way to make a relationship work. Whether it be a trans-atlantic one or they are together always. I look forward to reading more books by Amanda Ashby.
Lincoln and Bec found the stuff of romance novels in each others arms. Yet, when the euphoria starts to fade and the real world intrudes, hearts are bound to be broken. Will these two star crossed lovers be able to keep the dream alive? A noteworthy effort, that casts a spell not easily broken.
This is a nice, light-hearted and flirty type of story that was fun to read. There's a lot of banter between the characters and small town incidents that can be humorous. The story is well written and moves on smoothly, as Bec and Lincoln are trying to figure out their lives with the new challenges they are facing.
Even though this is a stand-alone novel, I would recommend reading the first book of the series before this one. I felt that a lot of the backstory was lacking, about the sisters and their relationships, why didn't Bec want to come back home, the time in Italy that was often referenced but never completely revealed, how close truly were Bec Watson and Lincoln Mathews since the story gives a two different kind of pictures of the relationships.
What took me by surprise was a number of characters that I didn't like or were not very pleasant. Bec herself was immature and a bit flaky. Maybe she really wasn't mature enough for the responsibility she was facing, since most of the decisions she made were odd.
Bec's sister Piper and Lincoln's mother are not amongst the nicest people in the literature world, even though Lincoln's mother did warm up towards the end, but the choices she had made were still in my mind and counting against her.
I didn't understand what was the huge deal that Lincoln didn't reveal his whole identity to her in Italy. Especially since it seems their relationship was more of a physical attraction at that point. Also hiding the baby news was an odd choice in my eyes but maybe not for her.
Lincoln was a solid character, he was easy to like, to understand his reasons, and his feelings towards Bec were believable as the story moved on.
This is a fun story with some original twists and lots whimsy and wisecracks embedded in the dialog, providing a light, quick, and a good read.

This was a fun and flirty read and I really enjoyed it. As the youngest Watson sister, Bec was rebellious, stubborn, quirky, flighty and free-spirited. Never feeling like she quite fit in, she traveled in order to find her place in the world. Now she's back at the family farm because it's time for her to settle down. Why you ask? Oh that's because she's pregnant and alone. Hurt and humiliated, she fled from England and the father of her child because he forgot to mention that he was a Lord!! Then the father, Lord Lincoln Matthews, shows up to beg her forgiveness, among other things. Little did he know the surprise that was in store for him.
The plot was sweet and the characters were a delight. Bec was a bit lost and Lincoln was burdened by too much responsibility. In the interest of full disclosure, Bec frustrated me. I didn't like her methods and I didn't like how hard she tried to keep Lincoln out. He had rights and part of me wanted him to push for them. That may just be me though. Regardless, they had virtually nothing in common, however, when it comes to love, none of that matters.

Responsibilities vs Happiness
Lincoln and Bec met while both are escaping life and responsibilities. Lincoln not only has the crown of his country to honor but his mother and brother as well. He's known his entire life what was expected of him but his heart and duty are not on the same page. After his mother interferes in his life and sends the only woman he he truly cared about running he's left feeling alone and resentment towards his responsibility to his country and family.
Bec ran from the lies Lincoln told her or in this case told her nothing about who he really is. After his mother tried to buy her out of his life she runs with no plans to see him again. So when he fallows her home a couple months later is how we get an inside look to see if these two can be together in spite of what's expected of them both.
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
Let me start by saying I think I just read a book that had everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable . It is easily a five star read. This book is written in dual POV my personal favorite and flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it.
