My first book by Kate Pearce and I'm now in love with the Morgan family and their ranch. Ry and Avery make a good couple, both having been through rough times in one way or another and both not living their true paths or their own lives. They basically rescue each other. It contained a little bit of love/romance/sex and a bit of suspense/mystery with the family secret. I'm interested in reading the first 2 books in this series to know the other characters better and I'm very interested in reading the next in the series especially since the ending left us with a little surprise/cliffhanger!

A sweet read. Ry's a good man, perfect for Avery

I loved watching Avery come out of her shell in this story. She starts out frustrated with her life, but not knowing how to change it, and she ends up taking the "horse" by the reins, so to speak. Ry was a great Hero. Compassionate but pushy in all the right ways. I admit to being a bit overwhelmed by the characters I didn't know anything about (as I hadn't read any of the other books in the series), but in the end the romance between Avery and Ry overcame any of that. A good read.

This is the first book I've read in this series. I really enjoyed this one and will go back and read the first two now.
Avery has had it hard the past few years. She hates the pity that some feel for her. She just wants to get on with her life.
Ry is tired of living in his twins shadow. He has finally found what he wants to do with his life and is happy. Finding Avery again was a nice bonus. They hit it off almost right away. They make such a cute couple.

Achingly Sweet. The Last Good Cowboy by Kate Pearce is EXACTLY as described. Ry is absolutely a wonderful man. Avery needed a man just like him to pull her out of her downward spiral and the two together were just so sweet. Sad at times but super tender too. Kate Pearce is a great writer. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.
