Ashley has always had to take care of herself but when her past comes back to harm her she has to rely on her friends. Quinton wants to be more than a friend and is determined to keep Ashley safe. I really enjoyed this story and the relationships as they developed. Great red hot read!

I think I would have preferred to have the the first book as well, maybe it would have made me enjoy this a bit more. I enjoyed it enough but it was just ok, nothing spectacular. I didn't mind the characters but I though Ashley was a bit too all over the place and something seemed to be missing. I didn't mind the bit of suspense with the psychopath but it all seemed to end very quick.

Tales From The Heart ~ Leanne's blog review from NetGalley and Kensington Books

This is book 2 is this series. It started out a little slow and took me a few chapters to get into it. I enjoyed Ashley and Quentin's story. Ashley is very independent and from a poor upbringing and Quentin rich and has it all. Two different world collide creating some fun and great chemistry.
If you read book 1 you'll have a better understanding of the characters and what's going on. The dangerous character who is after her carries over after escaping justice in the previous book. The story culminates in a bang and brings forth a happy ending.

Ashley grew up with nothing, Quinton has it all. When they meet, instant attraction. Foster always creates a good story, and this one is no exception. Danger is in the background of the story, but their relationship is the focus.

I really enjoyed this contemporary romantic novel. Although the pairing is unusual - Quinton is a rich, hot and sexy highflier and Ashley an innocent, hardworking girl from a difficult background, the chemistry between them is off the scale. There is an element of suspense throughout with a sick, evil person trying to harm her. The caring , protective side of Quinton was very appealing.
A quick and easy read which was fairly predictable.

Ashley is a hard working, independent woman. She works full time and goes to school, and has no time for any other entanglements in her life.

Quinton is enamored by Ashley. She is so different and refreshing and unlike any woman he has ever known... now all he has to do is convince her to give him the chance to spend some of her very little free time with her...

This storyline was great at the heart of it, but it drives me crazy when I read a second book in a standalone series and I am supposed to know everything that apparently happened in book one. It's a standalone, right? It should therefore stand on it's own.

The characters we're interesting, and could have been great, but I felt that they just weren't very developed. This book had potential to be amazing. I also felt it needed updating since it is apparently being re-released with a new cover. But, it's a good story, likable characters, some definite thriller action and a nice solid read.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Murphy's Law Is a sexy, suspenseful romance by Lori Foster. Ashley Miles does not need another distraction. She's been working 2 jobs and goes to school, she has no room for a relationship. Quinton Murphy is a suave businessman with a heart of gold and has his sights set on Ashley, who fights him to the end. When Ashley's life is threaten, Quinton spares no cost to protect her. Murphy's Law is an enjoyable read.

Another great book by the amazing Lori Foster! Great Read and beyond ready for the next,

This is an older title of Foster's, but it holds up fairly well.

Quinton is loaded, and Ashley is dirt poor, working herself through school with no time for shenanigans. Except Quinton is just too hard to resist.

Quinton is a bit cliché in his interactions with Ashley (think overly-alpha hero for a contemporary setting), but their relationship is cute, hot, and his over-protectiveness of this fiercely independent woman is mostly fun. The fact that she's still a virgin is handled a bit clumsily (dude, is it seriously THAT weird anyway?), but again, still fun.

3 stars.

I use to read Lori Foster years and years ago and have always LOVED her writing. She writes sexy romance like no other!!

Murphy’s Law is an adorable contemporary romance with quirky, lovable characters that set the pages on fire! Foster writes not only believable characters, but characters with great personalities. Ashley was an over achiever but in an admirable way. Her personality was easily classified as one in a million. She was blunt, brutally honest and completely adorable. If she was thinking it, she said it. It is hard not to admire a classic character like that. Quinton was the suave businessman with a heart of gold. Caring and thoughtful with a wonderful personality, he was the man of every girl’s dream. He wanted desperately to protect Ashley and take of her, but at the same time give her the space she needed since she was such a free spirit.

Murphy’s Law ties into a previous release of Foster’s titled Jude’s Law. The villain appears in both novels, so fans cautious of reading books out of order probably shouldn’t start with Murphy’s Law. It certainly can be read as a stand alone, but I wouldn’t recommend it- because the characters all make some sort of appearance

A wonderful book filler with colorful characters that connect you to the story and make you want to hold on tight and never let go! This is my first book in this series, but it won't be my last!

A fun and flirty story of Ashley, a college student working her own way through school and Quintin, the handsome, loveable CEO. The two have playful banter while a flirtatious relationship progresses through the story. Danger lurks and rears its ugly head while we are treated to the continuing story. This book is a fast read by Lori Foster, sure to delight her fans and other lovers of contemporary romance.

Murphy's Law by Lori Foster will be available April 25, 2015 by Zebra, an imprint of Kensington Book Corp. An egalley of this book was made available by the publisher in exchange for a honest review.

This is a fantastic book. With colorful characters that leap off the pages and antics that will have you smiling while at the same time cringing with the danger involved.

Ashley meets Quinton and it changes both of them. He is normally controlled but it makes him step away from his normal to get her to agree to go out with him. She wants security and a house and has plans that do not include any man. Quinton is different and has her questioning her own resolve. Which is the reason she is staying away from him, or trying to.

When a madman makes it clear that he is after Ashley, Quinton will do everything in his power to protect her. Just like her best friend's husband and his trainer will do as well. Going from having no one to care about her to so many people she finds herself in almost an uncomfortable position. But she'll be glad she has them soon.

This was an enjoyable read. The story was fast-paced and intriguing, and the characters are likeable and well developed. There is strong chemistry between the two main characters, and the story is not just a romance but also a great deal of suspense. My only complaint is that I didn't realize that this is the second book in a series, and although the author does a good job of filling in the blanks via recaps, I definitely felt like I was missing something by not reading the first book. I don't recommend reading this as a standalone if you have the time/money to invest in both books (but if you only want to read one, I would say go with this one because it obviously ties up some loose ends from the first book). I enjoyed it enough to now go back and read the first book, but I wish I had read them in order.

It took me three tries to actually finish this book. I just couldn't get into it and it seemed to drag.

I am really enjoying this series so far. It's a good idea for some back story to have read Jude's Law first though. I love Ashley & Quinton! The have such a fun and flirty way about them. This was a very entertaining and enjoyable read typical of Lori Foster.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC.

I love this book like I love all of Lori Foster's books that I've read. A great mix of warm and fuzzy, hot and steamy, and suspense.
