Welcome back to South Cove, everyone!

We last left Jill after having hosted a successful event thinking about family ties, the ones we're given and the ones we make. (Tea Cups & Carnage). In the first return book of 2017 (As of right now Killer Party is set to release on July 18th.) we join Jill and the gang dealing with a lot of personal issues and of course a murder! With a potential drowning, a breakup, a new relationship, a returning character, anew business in town, a proposal and oh yeah a murder! You know "momma" Jill has her hands full trying to make everything better all while solving the crime! Welcome to South Cove, California where the coffee's always on an the people are more interesting than any daytime soap!

For the new reader wondering if they can just jump right in? Yes please do! Mrs.Cahoon does an amazing job of providing enough background to get you updated but not so much that you want be able too enjoy the prior books.

For anyone wondering about gratuitous violence, gory murder descriptions or sex scenes?
No,no and no. What you do have is two adults in a committed relationship. They have both been divorced with no children. He's the sheriff while she's the owner book barista formerly a lawyer now going to college for a business degree. Yep, she's busy even without a murder!

Is it easy to figure out the killer? Not for me! I totally had it wrong twice! ;) I switched "suspects" about 75% in...and I still didn't get it right!

Who would I recommend this book to? Anyone and everyone who loves a good mystery!

Congratulations to Mrs. Lynn Cahoon for managing too weave the many threads of this story so deftly that I never felt lost, confused or even noticed the passing of time!

Come for the Hospitality and stay for the Homicide. <- New town slogan anyone?! I don't think the mayor would approve! :)

Advance Reader copy received with no strings attached! My opinions and review are of my own feelings and choice.

Another fun South Cover mystery! Jill Gardner is the owner of Coffee, Books and More in the touristy town of South Cove. she runs her shop with the help of her Aunt Jackie and part time employee Toby, who is also a police officer in the town. Jill's boyfriend is Greg, the local police chief and, much to his dismay, Jill manages to get herself involved in many local criminal investigations-including murder. In this book Jill helps mystery author Nathan Pike prove his innocence of the murder of a local B and B owner. This series is enjoyable both for the twisting plots of the mystery investigation and for the opportunity to catch up with the South Cove townspeople and other local shop owners. This is a series that makes you feel as if you have made new friends of its characters. I can't wait to see what happens to Jill and her friends next.
