This was a sweet story about love that lived through college, life, and overprotective family.

I really liked the combination between Charlie and Lucas. You can see that they know each other, have been through thick and thin together. And, just like normal brotherly love, sometimes, communication makes things much more difficult. Lucas is trying so hard to protect his sister. Especially after she was a victim of a crime. Not only is he trying to save her, but he's trying, also, to concentrate in order to come back from combat alive.

Lila is a strong woman. She wants what she wants. However, living in the shadows and loving Charlie since she was so young, she comes to a conclusion – she will fight for Charlie. And, despite loving her brother, she will stand up to him – believe that she is no longer a victim.

When push comes to shove, who will fight for what they want? Can Lila really live a happily ever after and have the support of her brother? I really liked this story because it shows that family is worth fighting for. I can't wait for the next one!

Melissa West is a new author to me, and I am so happy I found her! I enjoyed her voice, the way she told the story and the many different elements that the story was made of, and in such a clever way twined together. The characters are complicated, with inner depth, strengths, and weaknesses, people I wanted to get to know and spend time with. The small town has its crazy and its sweet, with firm family bonds, and people who look after you.
I love Charlie Littleton, he is a hot alpha mixed with a sweet guy, who is humble, loyal, and always wants to do the right thing. He won me over with his protective love towards his dog, and from there it was just one swoon moment after another. His feelings towards Lila are profound, honorable yet passionate. Even though Lucas was being a brick about Charlie's feelings towards Lila, I had to admire Charlie's honesty and loyalty towards Lucas.
Lila has always had feelings towards Charlie, even before she knew what those feelings meant. He holds a special place in her heart and getting to know him as an adult is just making those feelings to root even more deep-seated. Lila is fighting against the demons she faced in Charlotte, part of that danger making its way to the story as well. She is starting a new job, in a new place to live, a new chapter in life with old baggage weighing her down.
I liked the humor, the one-liners, that burst out at the most unexpected moments, I was laughing out loud while reading in a public place. I enjoyed the way the story is built, how it flows effortlessly, stealing your mind away. The romance is ardent and so solid, Lila and Charlie has a great foundation to build upon a relationship. There is a bit drama, a bit trouble, even malice and danger. I highly recommend adding Chasing Love to your summer reading list!

Another heartwarming read by Melissa West, I really enjoyed Chasing Love.
The writing was well done, the storyline was entertaining and held my interest all throughout the book.

Lila and Charlie were likable and endearing characters who I loved watching get together. They made me smile, they made me swoon and they touched my heart with their love.

The Littleton Brothers series has been a joy to read and I highly recommend it.

5 CHASING LOVE STARS!! Oh my goodness, every time I read a book by Melissa West, I say this is her best book yet, well she did it again. I loved watching this story unfold between Charlie and Lila. It has all the feels you look for in a great romance read. This is a great addition to this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book from publisher via NetGalley.

This is #2 of The Littleton Brothers.  #1 is Fighting Love and I have not read yet.  This is my first book I have read by this author, Melissa West.  I have been trying to read more books with dogs in them.  It is a way to honor our husky, Zeus, we lost days before Christmas, 2016.  I miss him every day.

Lila had a crush on Charlie since she was a teen.  Charlie had feelings, too, for her, but she is his best friend's little sister.  There is an unwritten rule for best friends not to date their sisters.  Right?  Lucas (her brother) is on a deployment and asks Charlie to watch his sister for him while he is away.  Lila has been though a lot since returning to her hometown to work in the only animal clinic with a boss that is something else (read to find out more!!).  I love how loyal Charlie is to Lucas, his best friend.  He did not want to cross a line with Lila, but he wanted something more with her.  In order to do that, Charlie had to speak to Lucas in person.

I can not wait to read the first book in this series.  If you are looking for a sweet best friend's little sister story, then this is what you are looking for.

Charlie, Lucas and Lucas's younger sister, Lila, have grown up together. When Lucas is called back to the service, he asks Charlie to look after Lila and keep her safe. Charlie and Lila realized their friendship is stronger than platonic. Knowing Lucas's friendship would be compromised if Charlie were to carry his feelings further with Lila, he tries to maintain a cool façade. A delightful romp.

Chasing Love is another swoony romance by Melissa West and book two of The Littleton Brothers series. If you were curious about Charlie, this is the book you will want to read. You will get a quick read with a great story about friendship, family, and love.

Charlie is a solid character but I have to be honest, he didn’t stand out for me in the previous book. This book changes that for sure and I loved getting to know him better. Charlie’s friendship with Lucas is tied not only to the backstory between him and Lila but also one of the things that brings them together when Lucas is called back to duty.

The backstory is great with these two. It is clear they have had feelings for each other for a long time and Charlie does his best to stay away but that doesn’t really work out for him. I get where he was coming from in regard to having a discussion with Lucas but Lila is an adult and if she was all for taking their relationship to a different place that should have been enough.

I liked Lila – it’s clear something happened to her when she had moved away but we don’t find out what it was until a bit later in the story. Based on this, it is clear she is strong and a fighter.

If you know me, you know Melissa West is on my auto-buy list as she writes wonderful stories. Her characters are well developed and the stories almost always have more to them than just what you read in the overview. Chasing Love is a quick read and another great, swoony romance by West. If you are looking for something that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens, check this one out.

This is an excellent addition to the series. It's a very well done best friend's sister story. Charlie and Lila are great characters and I really respected how adamant Charlie was about nothing happening between them until he had a chance to talk to his friend/her brother Lucas. Unfortunately Lucas is on deployment in Iraq so waiting was the only option. Sexual tension is rampant making for some fun witty banter between these two. The story is a quick easy read that will definitely leave you smiling. I highly recommend this one.

I enjoyed the other book on this series, so I was eager to get to this one.

I loved Lila and Charlie. I'm a huge fan of the bff's little sister plot line and these two were adorable. She's sassy and he's swoony and their scenes together were so sweet. I especially liked that they had such a long history and love for each other.

Much like the previous book, the synopsis doesn't talk about the dark story thread. In this one, Lila was kidnapped while on a date, kept in a dark room, and assaulted. It does state that she wasn't raped but says that he had touched her. So FYI on that.

Overall, it was a quick, cute, and mostly fluffy read. The inevitable break up and tension didn't last long and the ending/epilogue were perfect. I can't wait to read the next book.

The book was a fast read. It was apparent that the stalker was going after Lila, before she realized it. The couple have been in love with each other since the were very young. Classic story where older bother does not want his best friend. and his younger sister to get involved romantically, yet they do - but they keep the relationship a secret. Charlie seems like the perfect boyfriend / protector for Lila - he knows just how to keep her calm / safe from the stalker. The book was very enjoyable.

What do you do when facing a woman that you have loved ever since you was a teenager but your best friend said keep your hands off her? Do you risk the only true friend or do you take a risk .and follow your heart? Well years after their teenager days that is the decision he has to face but then you add in that her life is at risk also..this book is fantastic and suspense at the same time I truely enjoyed reading it.

A very cute and sweet book. A little suspense and a lot of sweet chemistry between Lila and Charlie.

Short and sweet with a bit of heat. Charlie is this laid back, hot guy who never thought he could have the woman of his dreams -- his best friend's younger sister.

She's a vet who just returned to her hometown after being kidnapped by a man she met online.

The story is fast paced and not quite a novella, though too short for me to consider it a full length novel. If you're looking for a nice quick read, this is the ticket.

I received an ARC of this book, via Net Galley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

From the moment I read my first book by Ms. West, which was Racing Hearts, she became a must-buy author for me, and again with this book she's penned an addictive read that consumed me from the start and didn't let go until I was at the end. Everything about this story -- the fantastic characters, the fact that it encompasses -- I believe -- one of the best tropes in the brother's best friend trope, the fast-paced plot and the dialogue which was the perfect combination of playful, emotional and intense -- made this story a total page turner that I never wanted to end. Will Charlie and Lila get the happy ever after they both deserve after everything they've been through in the past.

As for the dialogue, it was well-written and had me hanging on every word, wanting to know more about the main characters and what happened in their pasts to make them so against relationships. Lila was caught up in a very harrowing situation and it's understandable why she is the way she is. Who wouldn't be a little jumpy and fearful of going out just for fun? Luckily, talking about what happened to her helps and those moments where she does prove how good Charlie is for her. Somehow, the things he says to her show Lila that she was down for a while, but she's strong and certainly not out. Not by a long shot. That what happened to her hasn't kept her from continuing on with her life, even if she did have to make a few changes to cope such as moving home. Moreover, I liked how Lila stood up for herself when it came to things worth fighting for. Such as her job and the difficulties she faces from the elderly man that owns the vet clinic as well as her relationship with Charlie when it comes to her brother.

While Charlie, he hasn't had the easiest of times with relationships either. His ex was a real piece of work with what she did to him by taking everything that mattered. However, he's done well for himself, which is proven by his impressive social media skills and the chance he may be looking to take business wise. He's also loyal, protective and I liked how determined he was to keep things platonic between him and Lila, because he didn't want to ruin his friendship with her brother and also didn't want to lose Lila in the process. However, with the strong chemistry between them that just kept getting more intense, it was palpable he would lose the battle. Really, I was shocked Charlie managed to hold out as long as he did.

Overall, Ms. West has penned an incredible read in this book, where the secondary characters entertained me almost as much as the main ones and which now has me looking forward to the next story for this series. Who will the final Littleton brother end up with? The way this story ended had me worried for the heroine, because of the touch of suspense this story had. However, I was so happy the way things worked out, especially with the surprise in the epilogue that had the brothers concerned about who would be their mother's favorite son. I would highly recommend Chasing Love by Melissa West, especially if you love the brother's best friend trope.

What a great story filled with romance, love and second chances! Sometimes people are just fated to be together - and that is definitely Charlie and Lila!

Charlie left Crestler's Key years ago in an attempt to get over his obsession with his best friend's sister, Lila. He returns home and finds out that Lila has returned home as well. Lucas, his best friend, leaves for a tour in Iraq and asks Charlie to watch out for Lila. This throws Charlie into a tailspin because he realizes that all of the feelings from years ago are still there. Things get even touchier for Charlie when he finds out that Lila feels the same thing.

Reading about these two finding their way to each other while trying to respect Lucas's wishes is really a great read. I really enjoyed these characters and their small town. I definitely look forward to reading more books by this author!

Chasing Love, is a great small town romance novel. I did not read book one, and I had no problem keeping up with the story line. So yes this can be read as a stand alone.

A lovely addition to this series! Melissa West delivers once again with a sweet and swoon worthy romance. I adored everything about Chasing Love and couldn't get enough of Charlie and Lila together. Their story hit all the marks for me. It was sweet and sexy with a little bit of drama and suspense along the way.

Chasing Love was a quick and easy read for me. I couldn't help but fall in love with the characters and their story. Chasing Love is a great read to just spend the day getting lost in. I can't wait to see where this series is going to go next!

This one was a miss for me. I like small town stories and how characters are connected. It takes deft storytelling to make each book fresh and inviting and allowing for the stories to have their existence outside the series. I had high expectations for this one but I have to say that I always felt a step behind the narrative. I clearly missed something. As a result I never got to really enjoy the book. The characters were not very likeable but they and the idea of them had potential but it just was never achieved.
