Burning Ground is a poignant and thought-provoking novel that leaves a lasting impression. It is a tale of love, betrayal, and the enduring power of human connection. Adam O'Riordan's masterful storytelling and poetic prose make this book a compelling read for those who appreciate character-driven narratives and lyrical writing. Although it could benefit from some editing in terms of pacing, Burning Ground is a book that will resonate with readers long after the final page is turned.
As with most short story collections there are a mix, with some stories better than others. A few of the better stories were in the middle, the first few seemed rough in starting out but hit their stride a few pages in. All in all they are okay, generally decent writing. Most of the stories ended at the right place.
