I wish I could give On The Plus Side by Alison Bliss more then 5 stars, it deserves 10!!! On The Plus Side shines the light on Valerie a character we have met before in Size Matters, book one in the Perfect Fit series. Valerie is a beautiful, smart, plus size girl who is comfortable in her own skin. Val's crush has moved back into town to open a bar, only problem is Val's crush happens to be her brothers best Friend Logan. Logan's back in his home town to open a bar and help his mother, when Val is at Logan's bar she happens to catch Logan's bartender stealing. After confronting the bartender he puts Val in a compromising position, when they are caught buy Logan he gets the wrong impression and his bartender quits. Now short staffed, Valerie's offers to help Logan out on bar. Val and Logan cannot fight the attraction they have for each other, sparks fly and passions ignite.
I cannot tell you as to how much I enjoyed On the Plus Side, it has the perfect mix of romance, humour And lovable characters. On The Plus Side does not disappoint, I cannot wait for book 3!

This was a really interesting book for me. It's usually the girl thats the one with all the insecurities not the guy.

I really loved that Valerie was such a strong confident women. Yes she plus sized but that shouldn't mean that she's not confident and happy with her body. Not everyone that's overweight is unhappy about it, I loved that she felt so realistic. She someone who's finally decided to go after what she wants, yes she makes a few mistakes but they came from a good place, no malice intended at all. It's so refreshing to read about a fun, sassy female character instead of one full of misery and pain.

I liked Logan from the start, I completely got his reservations regarding his best friend, and Valerie's brother, Brett. It took awhile for me to see the reasons behind his hesitation but again it came from a good place and once he opened up to Valerie I felt like the relationship was really going to go somewhere. He's a very honourable man considering the father figure he had to grow up with. I really enjoyed his take charge attitude when the two got down and dirty, they were some hot and steamy scenes.

It's a really fun series and I'd definitely recommended it if your looking for lots of laugh out loud moments. Alison's a really good writer and you won't be disappointed

As a plus side gal, I can totally appreciate the books that Ms. Bliss is writing right now. And even though I’m old enough to be their mother, I have had body issues my whole life. Believe me when I say that I could TOTALLY relate to Leah in book #1 when it came to her mother shaming her all the time. I’m 50 years old and my mother STILL looks at me critically when she sees me. On my 50th birthday, I decided that I can’t please everyone anymore. I need to please myself first. I don’t listen to the body shaming anymore. I’m a grown ass woman that is married with a child. I needed to do this for me and no one else. All that said, I can appreciate Valerie with her positive body issues. She didn’t have anyone shaming her, bringing her down and then to find out that Logan has wanted her for all those years? Did her body shape come up in conversation? Nope, well…just that he LOVED her banging curves.

So why the long intro paragraph to start the review? Because Ms. Bliss has written another great heroine that is REAL. Relatable, even for this old broad. I loved how confident she was in her relationships with herself first and then her friends. Max is a hoot and I’m really hoping that he gets his own book. What I didn’t like is how her brother, Brett treated her. I got the whole that their dad died and he felt like he HAD to protect her but he was overbearing. And that’s being nice about it. I would have throat punched him a long time ago. I had a younger brother and if he treated me that way…yep, throat punch. It took her too long to finally have “the talk” with Brett and by then, I just didn’t care. Brett didn’t care about her or even Logan for that matter.

Logan is a man of mystery. I loved how he was “trying” to stay away from her but in the end, the heart wants what it wants. Their chemistry is beyond hot but in the end, he ended up being a bonehead, as usual. LOL! What is it about men? I loved his relationship with his mother and the scene at the end of the book made me chuckle. She finally let him have it and then the fog lifted for him.

To say this book is hot would be an understatement. But it also has heart and relatable characters. I liked how Ms. Bliss had Logan and Valerie confront their fears and let their emotions shine on the pages. If you have never read a book by Ms. Bliss you are missing out. She is a talented author that writes real, relatable characters with a bit of sass, a whole lot of hot but in the end, you will be smiling in the end.

This is another book where the ending killed it for me.

On the Plus Side was a cute read, quick and fluffy.

I really liked Val and Logan, but there were moments the two of them annoyed the ever living daylights out of me. I hate, hate, hate when characters don't communicate, bringing a whole lot of contrived drama to the story. I also strongly dislike when a character can't admit to being wrong and continuously blame it on the other person.

Outside of these two issues, this was entertaining. Logan, when he wasn't being a douche bag and running over her each time she tried to talk, was a complete sweetheart. A contradiction to those moments that made me want to slap him-HARD-upside the head. When he wasn't being so damn pig headed, I loved him. Even in the end when most would have thought he over reacted.

Val was fun. A vivacious, spitfire who went after what she wanted, which was Logan. Our girl was so full of life and her loyalty knew no bounds. There was so much to like about her strong character; however, there was also some very major characteristics that made me not so keen on her. She took things a bit to far at the end. And I felt, she totally deserved Logan's anger.

Anyway, if you are looking for a cute read, with light angst, than this is the book for you. Despite the few struggles I had, I finished this book in one sitting. So that is an added plus! I don't do that much lately.

P.s. Val's brother tends to be a bit overbearing. A tad bit over done.

Discover what happens when old friends reconnect and get a second chance to explore those feelings suppressed for sooo long. There won’t be time to run away from this steamy chemistry, hopefully they’ve learned from their past mistakes. Add a few secrets, an overprotective brother, great friendships, mix it with a double shot of sexy cocktails and you have the ingredients for the perfect summer read!

I adored this book! Valerie was such a confident and bubbly heroine. Even when she was messing up, she was a joy to read! Logan, the hero and her brother's best friend, was a strong character who was unable to fight his attraction to the off-limits Valerie. Honestly, the only thing I didn't like about this book was how overprotective her brother was of the adult Valerie. Everything else in the book made for a fun and enjoyable read!

On The Plus Side is the second standalone in the A Perfect Fit series by Alison Bliss and it is so far my favorite. While each of these books can be read as a complete standalone, I personally had read the first one since I love everything Alison Bliss writes. In book one we met our heroine, Valerie. She is the best friend in that book and we quickly found out that she was loyal, sassy, fun and full of confidence (both body and sexual). Boy did she live up to all of that in On The Plus Side.

Valerie has always wanted Logan, her brother's best friend but he was older and constantly in trouble and therefore not meant to be hers. When he left and never returned for eight years she moved on and lived her life, discovering who she is and what she likes. Now he is back and opening his own bar and she knows that now is the time to put herself on the line and go for what she has always wanted. When she talks her way into a job at the bar he finally cannot resist her anymore. One main problem . . .her brother is way overprotective and knows every bad thing Logan has ever done.

'Yes, she wanted him. But he was the one damn thing she was apparently never going to have.'

Valerie was the kind of heroine I live for. She was so spunky but also real. She makes mistakes but she is also self aware and owns her mistakes. Logan is flawed but passionate and caring. The two of them are sweet but also so freaking SEXY!!! This book was full of heat in the best way possible. If you enjoy hilarious banter, a ton of heat and a story that is so sweet and fun you can't put it down than this is one you need to pick up now!

I love this series and the amazing women that are portrayed in it. Val was a smart, sassy and confident woman and it was refreshing to read. I got very frustrated with her brothers and sometimes Logan. This was a very fun and very steamy read. I highly recommend checking out this series and all of Alison Bliss' books. You will not be disappointed.

In her uniquely sassy voice, Alison Bliss brings her A game with the second book in her A Perfect Fit series! I didn’t think I could love a couple more than I did Leah & Sam from the first book Size Matters, but Valerie and Logan managed to lasso my heart from the start and had me waiting with bated breath to see if they were going to hook up and claim that happily ever after! Sweet & feisty characters, super hot sexual tension and lots of tight friendships pave the way to a really great story!

Valerie Carmichael has never been shy about saying what she wants and going out to get it, but there was one thing that she has wanted for longer than she can even remember that she never managed to get … her brother’s best friend Logan! He left town years ago before she could convince him she was the gal for him … but now he’s back, and he better watch out!

Logan Mathis just so happens to need some help at his newly opened bar, and Val tells a little fib to get a job. Logan has never let on, but she’s been starring in his fantasies since way back in the day and she’s only gotten hotter and more voluptuous while he’s been gone. How is he supposed to handle being behind the bar with her every night?

It isn't often I read books with main females are plus sizes and I really would like to read more since I admit I am a plus size lady.

I read the first book and I did enjoy it.

On The Plus Size is a quick and cute and sexy. It is very well written and I actually very much liked this book and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

I give this 4 out of 5.

Valerie Carmichael is a vivacious, confident, party girl with curves. She never has a problem getting male attention. But the one man she never could have, just returned to town. Logan Mathis is her older brother's best friend and her long time crush. And he is back in Granite, Texas after an eight year absence. Logan is the one man that drives her crazy by making her react, frustrating her, or hurting her feelings. He jumps to conclusions, riles her up, and then avoids her.

But she has no idea that Logan suffers from the same affliction she does...wanting the one you can't have. He is loyal to her brother and understands that Valerie always has been and will be off limits to him. He does not want to risk his friendship, and he also does not feel worthy of her. He also has some other things going on in his life like starting up his new bar and trying to help his mother. He really does not have time to be distracted by the girl that drives him nuts. But when he needs help at the bar and she won't take no for an answer, he will have no choice but to co-exist with her.

Logan tries all the tricks for denial, resistance, and avoidance, but his jealousy, possessiveness, and need for control is going to be tested to the breaking point. The teasing, taunting, and push and pull adds to the sexual tension. And once they finally break, it is all the way. Their forbidden flirting and attraction flames into a hot secret affair. Their teenage crushes have continued into adulthood with lust and unresolved feelings. But they not only have to keep it a secret from her brother, but now they are also in a boss and employee situation.

It is refreshing that Valerie is a curvy girl but never focuses on her weight. She wears tight, sexy clothes and heels and is comfortable in her own skin. She is a great combo of sassy, smart, and sweet. And Logan is so enamored of her that he sees her as too good for him. Usually it is the overweight girl with the insecurities and not the tall, sexy man. He is always trying to make up for past mistakes, but he is caring and protective of those in his life. But he is a bit overwhelmed and in over his head at times.

They are living in a lie, but they are also not telling each other everything either. And little white lies can blow up in big ways. Fear of discovery, guilt, and insecurities impact them. And when it is all out in the open, they are going to have to decide to either to fight for their chance or just give up.

This is a forbidden-best-friend's-little-sister-second-chance-romance with humor, heart and passion. There were a few things near the end that bugged me a bit, but overall it was a sweet, fun, and engaging read. It can be read as a stand-alone, but I enjoyed getting more with Leah and Sam (Size Matters) and seeing a bit more progression in their relationship. Sam's friend, Max is also back in this book, and Valerie's brother, Brett is featured. I am interested to see if either Max or Brett will be the hero in More to Love.

I love Alison Bliss books and her A Perfect Fit series is amazing ! so when I got the chance to read On The Plus Side I was so excited , I did a happy dance when the book appeared on my kindle and devoured the book in on siting I could and it was AMAZING !!

In this book we follow Valarie and Logan and ever since I read Size Matter ,Valarie was one character that I just adored so it makes me so happy to know that this was her book . Valarie and Logon together was just perfect !, there story didn't start of with all the warm and fuzzy feelings it was more like angst and longing feelings which came together to build so much sexual tension between them that when they both finally gave into it , I just wanted to stick my self into the freezer to cool down lol because it was that smoking out . There was some seriously hot sexy times in this book , seriously... if anything happen to my kindle I would know exactly who to blame , Alison Bliss who writes her sexy times so hot that readers are concerned about there kindles safety lol ,but the besides the sexy time scenes , there was so much going on this book between the swoon worth romance, everything that was happening with Logan's bar , seeing some of my favorite characters from size matters pop up in book , I could go on and on ..this book was just such an fantastic addition to the A Perfect Fit Series . On the Plus Side is a sexy romantic comedy that is definitely on my top favorite books of 2017 list and I cannot wait to get my hands on what Alison Bliss writes next .

Curvy Valerie Charmichael has always been able to attract male attention, except for Logan Mathis, her brother’s best friend. When he moves back to town, Valerie does everything she can to make sure she gets his attention this time, one way or another.
Unfortunately, I just didn’t like this book. The plot sounded like it would be a quick and hot read, but the more I read, the more I didn’t like it. The biggest problem was that I didn’t like the characters right from the beginning. I didn’t like the interaction between them starting when they saw each other again.

Unfortunately, this book fell a bit flat for me. It's more of a 2.5 star read that I'm rounding up to 3 stars. There just wasn't much that I enjoyed about this book. The characters were childish and came across as annoying, especially in the way they dealt with issues. I was also expecting more humor in this story than I actually found.

Valerie put up with a lot of flack from both her brother Brett and her love interest Logan. I kept wondering why she allowed that kind of smothering overprotectiveness, until it got explained at the end, when she finally stood up for herself. However, she did a lot of really stupid stuff that wound up causing a lot of problems, and it really had me railing at her. She was clueless! I almost put her in the too stupid to live category a few times because of it.

Logan wasn't that great of a hero, as he allowed sex to get in the way of keeping his business. I couldn't see how he could realistically "forget" about something like her certification, no matter how good the sex was! I also didn't like his attitude about getting together with Valerie, because it was too multi-faceted, so it seemed like excuses.

All things considered, this was a quick read that I found mildly enjoyable. Here's hoping the third book in the series will be better!

This is book 2 in the A Perfect Fit series by Alison Bliss. I really love these stories/books that Ms. Bliss has written which shows what real women look like along with the struggles that they face in their(our) daily lives. It’s a great BBW story line with a good plot and a handsome man to go right along with it. The cover features an actual plus size model which I loved. Hard to find that when there is a BBW story and they use a average woman for the cover model. I was in love with the cover , it was sooo pretty.
Valerie Carmichael is a bright, outgoing, sassy and confident woman. She was comfortable in her own skin. Logan Mathis is her older brother's best friend and he also happens to be Val’s crush. He is back in town after an eight year absence. He was the object of Valerie's girlhood fantasies yet he was also the bane of her existence and he also was the man she had given her heart to all those years ago. Distance, time, nor age hasn’t changed a thing on Val’s end. Only problem is Logan is very determined to keep her away and at arm’s length for some unknown reason. But this time Val is determined to break down his walls and show him how good they can be together. Valerie and Logan make sparks fly with how hot their chemistry is and their banter is so electric and spicy.
This book is fantastic; It's funny, very romantic, has hot sex scenes and the plot is tight and flows perfectly. Also, Val’s brother Brett. I adored him. He is definitely one overprotective big brother and I hope he gets his own book because he sure deserves it. I would love to read his story someday. He sure did enhance this story and his part was written perfectly. This is one awesome romance read!!

The second in a series that centers around Leah's best friend. If you haven't read book one or my review yesterday, Leah is the center of the first book and her best friend Valerie is the star. She works in Leah's bakery and has always had an older brother to watch her back and defend her in everything. Things may get turned upside down when her brother's best friend Logan returns to town for many reasons.

Another romance novel that of course was predictable, but as I always say its ok that you know the destination, the journey is still enjoyable. Romance books are notoriously made with a formula, but as most romance readers know we are ok with the formula its almost nice to know that we will end with smiles on our face and a happy ending!

I liked this second book better than the first. As I said yesterday the first focused so much on size and made me uncomfortable, instead Valerie had confidence and was excited to be able to love someone that she had wanted to love for so long. I loved the ups and downs of the book, the flow was just spot on. With a smidge less sexy chatter, I felt like this book had a smidge more content, not as much as some romance authors and made me pause, but enough to work better than the first book.

I am on the fence about continuing this series, but thinking I just might to see where it could go. The second book absolutely saved this one for me, so I hope you will start at book one, but quickly move to book two.

Val has had a crush on her brother's best friend, Logan, but he's never given her the time of day. He left town specifically so nothing were to happen-something he had to do or face his best friend. Now he's back in town and Val isn't quite the "little" sister anymore and she's got banging curves to boot! When Val starts working at his new bar, things escalate pretty quick! Now to keep big bro from finding out and going ballistic!

I love the fact that the heroine isn't your typical, but one that embraces who she is and her curves are part of the package, period! The cover conveys that attitude as well! The book screams normal girl and that's what we are given. On the Plus side is book two in the A Perfect Fit series and each features a different curvy heroine. You can grab any of the books and read them as standalones.

Val has spunk! She's sassy and sexy! She knows what she wants and when presented with an opportunity, she takes it! She was easy to like and the couple was easy to see together.

Now I understand being protective of your little sister, but Val's brother was a notch or two over the top! He needed to back off-like way off! He also never lets her finish what she's saying-just butts right in! Annoying to say the least! She needed to get a backbone and set him straight!

I highly recommend this read! Fun-yes! Sweet-yes! Spicy-of course, yes! Have a bit of fun and start this today!

True beauty comes from within. As a society, we seem to forget that not everyone is a size 0-4. So I applaud Ms. Bliss for creating a heroine with curves that has the confidence and heart to speak her mind and love herself. Like most people, when it comes to matters of the heart is when the complications begin. The object of Valerie's girlhood fantasies has always been the bane of her existence, but the keeper of her heart all the same. Distance, time, nor age has changed that on her end. Too bad the man in question is just as determined to keep her at arm's length. Maybe this time she'll change his mind. If they don't kill each other first. On the Plus Side uses light humor, a romantic story and a sweetheart of a duo to deliver a positive message of self - love and second chances.

On the Plus Side by Alison Bliss was funny, romantic and sexy all wrapped up in a great story! This was my first read by this author and I am ready to read more!

Valerie Carmichael has lusted over sexy Logan Mathis for a very long time. But Logan is her brother’s best friend, her very overprotective brother. But Val is determined to make Logan sit-up and take notice and she is ready to do what it takes to do so. This woman was feisty, determined and just so likeable. She was confident in herself, which is a nice change of pace.

Logan has found Val in his mind more than he ever wanted her to be there, but she is off limits. Then she begins working in his bar, driving him crazy night after night. What is a guy to do? I loved Logan; he was so sexy, but so sweet as well, with a touch of possessiveness. Such a good mix in a guy! He was just an overall good guy you like and is always trying to do the right thing.

But the more time these two spend together, the harder it is for Logan to remember why she is off limits to him. Rules go out the window quickly. In turn we get some very sexy, steamy and very naughty scenes that you love. I loved seeing the tension build up between these two and then seeing the fireworks explode! They had a lot of chemistry, even when they would drive each other crazy.

I really enjoyed reading about a curvy woman as the heroine who was confident in who she was and rocked it. Logan was perfect for her. On the Plus side is a very sweet story about forbidden love that was funny and sexy at the same time.
