Rescued by the Space Pirate is a fun, sexy space adventure where human Ruby gets "kidnapped" by alien sex slavers and gets "rescued" by Killian, a human space pirate. Sexy shenanigans ensue, including a rather odd turn of events when it comes to Ruby and her desire to be rescued.
First off, this is a serial. It's a short 70 page read and is part one of three. If you're not a fan of serials, do not worry, these are being released in close succession so you can wait till they are all released and read them together.
With this first installment being so short, it's really hard to get a read on the main characters but I'll try. There's, of course, Killian, our human space pirate. Kiliian is not classically handsome but he's compelling. Ms Croft has been very creative and instead of giving him a eye patch like the pirates of old she's given him a mechanical eye. Just as interesting and much more in-keeping with with the space them. Killian likes to come across as a hardass but in reality, he's a good guy with a kind heart. And horny, let's not forget that he's horny as heck. :-p I liked that while being hugely turned on by Ruby, he's also kind enough to look after her needs first after rescuing her from weeks of mistreatment in the hands of the sex slavers.
Add to Killian, Zak. An alien. From the planet Groth. He's huge and he's blue. Personally, I prefer my heroes to be more flesh toned but Zak is a fun sort of fellow. And horny. Zak's also horny. And if at all possible, he's hornier than Killian. :-D He adds a lot of zing into a sexy menage scene.
And of course, last but not least, we have Ruby, who is on a mission after being kidnapped by sex slavers ... sort of. Ruby is somewhat idealistic but also looking for adventure. She's certainly found it with being kidnapped and then rescued by Killian and Zak. I also found Ruby to be a bit silly at points, which made me think the story was silly, but fortunately, that passed quickly and she came round.
This is a fun, sexy story and maybe a little bit silly. Whatever you do, don't try to take it seriously. It's a satisfying read for a short 70 pages and doesn't end with much of a cliffhanger but things are happening, and Killian and Zak are off to rescue Ruby again. You'll need to read this to find out why she needs rescuing a second time. :-)

If you're looking for Alien Erotica, this definitely fits the bill. This is only part 1 of 3 and maybe we'll get more depth with the rest, but in part 1 this was pretty much just about alien sex. Don't get me wrong, there is a story as well, it just kind of faded in the background. Ruby gets fired, her boyfriend suddenly leaves town for a promotion and she finds out it was all arranged by her boss so he can ask her to sign up to be taken as an alien sex slave to find his kidnapped daughter. She not only agrees but seems to be turned on by the idea. She's also turned on by the man who's suppose to get her free, the ugly aliens examining her for the sex trade, the human Cyborg that buys her and the big alien prince who's working with the Cyborg. It's a little confusing who the Hero is suppose to be in this story since Ruby seems to react to every male she meets. Maybe we'll learn that in part 2. This does have a really hot ménage scene. This was really well-written (no surprise - Nina Croft! :) ), with characters that I liked immediately and wanted to know more about. The story and world are compelling as well. I don't tend to read a lot of erotica, especially not paranormal erotica, but figured I would give this a shot because it sounded interesting.... I was alright with most of the erotic scenes, but menage-a-trois really isn't my thing, so I basically skipped through the scene near the end of this.

I will say, though, that this has the makings for a fantastic short series and, if erotic paranormal romance is your thing, I would definitely recommend checking this one out! It's got some darkness thrown in (it IS about alien slavers who traffic human sex slaves), but that really just adds to the world- and character-building.

Quick read with a cliffy. She volunteers for a mission and is "rescued" by a hottie (think Han Solo with Anakin's metal arm) and his seven foot tall blue partner. Hot shower scene and a menage before she talks them into returning her so she can finish her mission.

Ruby Robbins get a chance to live the life of her inner Leia of Star Wars by accepting what she thinks is a recuse "mission" of the daughter of her boos who has been kidnapped by alien space slave traders. Ruby goes undercover, and out of it, since slaves are keep naked on the cargo ship. She meets a handsome space pirate and his big blue alien shipmate, Zak, who have been commissioned by someone they do no know to buy her from the traders. The trouble is Ruby does not want to be rescued until her mission is complete. She spends some very intimate time on Killian's ship.

Be aware that this story contains menage in case that is not your thing. Ruby at times seems quite dense to me, but all in all she's a likeable gal. Killian usually does not mind sharing the ladies with Zak but starts to feel very possessive towards Ruby. Zak was raised as a slave so he know what waits for the hapless Ruby if she goes deeply into that world. She is determined to complete her mission, but there are hidden forces equally determined to stop her.

I would call this more Space Erotica than Space Opera. This is part one of a three part series each released a week apart.

Ruby is in love with space so when she is asked to help with a rescue if she is willing to go to space she jumps at the chance. Ruby is a sweetheart. She is loyal to her task and continues even when Killian has rescued her from the slave pit. Killian is a fun characters who connects with Ruby right away. This is part one of the Ruby Series. If you do not like cliff hangers wait for all three parts to be published. I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

This was easy to read, had some hot menage action and was a great start to Ruby's space adventure.

If you like smut with space pirates, blue knobbly cocked aliens and fiesty heroines, then this is the book for you.
