Headline Review: 5 howl-mazing stars! 🐺
Whaaa?
*points up*
The headline? Puh-lease! It’s me – I (just) had to go there *snorts*
*sigh*
What is it about shifter books? There is just something about them, isn’t there? When they’re done right it’s a full-on body shiver. And, oh freaking my, was this one done right. In fact, I have to confess that this is my second time reading Finn and Jessa’s story.
It’s so hard to come up with a new spin on the werewolf lore, but the author has done just that. I completely geeked out and my PNR loving heart was all of a flutter.
A much-needed promotion is about to turn Jessa Talbot’s life upside down. *whispers from side of mouth* In more ways than one *coughs* Losing her heart to a motherless baby is bad enough, but her attraction to his gorgeous father is a complication she can ill afford.
His son’s unexpected arrival heralds a new era for billionaire, Finnegan Dean. Oh, and he just happens to be a werewolf. Something which he has never really come to terms with. Guilt is an emotion Finn is very familiar with.
On two things Finn and his wolf are in complete agreement: protect his son at all costs, and Jessa is theirs.
Dontcha just love fated mates *sighs*
“He made her heart happy.”
*coughs*
Oh boy, Finn made more than Jessa’s heart happy - there I’ve said it!
One word: combustible.
This was a heart-stopping suspense-filled ride from start to finish. I felt every intense, explosive and passionate moment.
It’s hard for the first couple in a new series because you need to introduce the other characters whilst setting up the next book yet keep the focus on them. Well, Sasha accomplished that and more. I have so many questions and I’m already trying to connect the dots to work out who’s going to end with whom in the series.
Back to my original question about what makes shifter books compulsive reading. It’s the scent thing, isn’t it? Nothing gets by them – fear, *coughs* arousal *winks*
*sigh*
So, yeah, I think this is a series I’m really going to enjoy sinking my teeth into *smirks*
This was a decent read! Well thought out storyline and like able/ hate able characters that make you want to know what's next. I like Jessa. She's strong, loyal, and smart. Finn is cautious, loyal, and afraid of his wolf. I enjoyed the chemistry between them. Will be looking for the next in this series.
3.5 “This title…it gets me every time” Stars
I love me some werewolf romance and with a title like this, I just couldn’t pass the opportunity of trying out Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby. I mean we’re talking about a billionaire werewolf who suddenly finds himself a single father who turns to his employee to help him care for the baby. I felt I hit the jackpot with this one.
I’m not going to lie, I was prepared for the book to be totally absurd. I was pleasantly proved wrong, though and I enjoyed it very much. I really liked the spin Ms. Summer put on the whole shifter thing, making this a bit different from all the other shifter books out there.
Finn, the typical alpha, bossy and aloof workaholic, had quite the surprise when he changed into a wolf and turned his best friends into werewolves too after an accident. Now trying to deal with the fallout, they need to figure out what being shifters entails as well as staying out of the way of the other werewolf pack that seems determined on wiping them out.
When Finn learns of the existence of a baby, he turns to Jessa, a model employee to help him set up his house for the baby and find someone who’ll help him in the long term. He didn’t count on Jessa bonding with baby Oscar as deeply as she did nor that he and his wolf would find her irresistible.
Jessa was the shit. She was selfless, loving and a devoted caregiver, having raised her four younger siblings when their parents passed. When she is swept into the crazy werewolf world, she dealt with it like a champ and always kept a cool head, even when the situations became more and more dangerous.
Finn was a bit of a jerk at first. Having been fighting the wolf for the past decade as well as being raised by nannies hired by emotionally stunted parents, he was not in touch with his feelings. Jessa and baby Oscar change all this, slowly burrowing into his heart and awakening protective instincts he never knew he could have.
With lots of suspense and action, this sexy romance had a great pace. I can’t say I totally connected with either Jessa or Finn but I did find them cute together and I loved baby Oscar. I wished there had been more of a closure to their romance and Jessa’s current situation, but I understand that part of the story will continue in future books. I’m very intrigued as to where the storyline will go and can’t wait to get to read about the rest of the pack.
I confess I was hesitant to pick up this book. I usually first look at the book cover and this one didn't appeal to me at all. But the blurb was at odds with it and so I had to take a chance and try out the new author and the book!
After finishing the book, I was kicking myself because I don't know how I missed this author. I loved the story. It didn't leave much time for me to get bored or get deviated from the storyline. From the beginning to the end, the book had me in its grasp and it only spit me out at the end.
The writing was engaging and the story was fast paced. The romance was steamy and the protagonists' interactions were in turns swoon worthy and sizzing. Jessa is a total good girl with big responsibilities and I love her falling for Finn who is THE Alpha! I was literally drooling at Finn's hotness. He is the kind of Alpha hero I absolutely love! And add the members of the Brotherhood to them and you have a cast of guys who you can dream about.
The tale is full of sweet romance, hear-me-roar heroism, strong friendship and suspenseful danger. In spite of being a romance, there were enough twists and turns to keep my mind occupied. There are still lots of questions unanswered and I think the future books in the series would lead to the answers. For now, though, there are certain aspects of the story which have saddened me like the case of Mal and the ending. I felt the Mal situation could have been avoided and well, the end isn't the end at all. Now I have to keep waiting for the next book.
I look forward to the sequels for more captivating stories.
My one line review : An engaging paranormal book with elements of romance and danger.
My rating : 4/5
My reread factor : 3/5

Books centered around a baby aren't may fav since it's been done too much already. BUT Sasha Summers delivers a story that worked. I found myself thoroughly enjoying the ride. There's action, romance and an interesting take on werewolves. The baby is not the heroine's (Jessa). It's his (Finn), but you knew that from the blurb. As is typical for shifter books the hero and heroine are destined/fated/matched. Makes them getting together a given, but it's not as expected. There's a lot of angst, mostly on his part. There are twists to this poignant story of two strangers coming to grips with intense chemistry amidst danger and the challenges of an infant.
I sniff a series here and will be reading the next!

Sandy M’s review of Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers
Paranormal Romance published by Entangled: Covet 24 Apr 17
I’ve been a bit disappointed in the shifter books I’ve read recently. I’m not sure why, but most don’t have a whole lot of shifting going on. Not sure about anyone else, but that’s one of the main reasons I read shifter stories – I want them to shift. I want to see them in their animal form as much as possible. So I thought I would give a new-to-me author a chance to see how she writes one of my favorite romance subgenres.
Unfortunately, Ms. Summers doesn’t give me what I wanted. She also goes so far to have the hero dislike being a wolf, along with his friends whom he turned and feels guilty about it. Which is too bad, because I do like Finn. He’s alpha of his pack – a very small pack – and he’s been protecting them all from the Others, who feel Finn and his pack should not exist. Then Finn is hit with a surprise – he has a son. Thus, he needs someone to take care of the child temporarily, until he can figure out how to keep him safe.
I also like Jessa, who is an employee of Finn’s company, whip smart and on her way up. She’s taken care of her brothers for a while now, so she’s the perfect candidate for Finn. Of course, Jessa falls instantly in love with little Oscar, and the boy’s father ain’t bad either. Things begin to go wrong and Finn moves them to a safer place, his pack joining them for an extra layer of protection from the Others.
I did like meeting the other wolves, each with his own issues at having an animal inside. The second half of the book is grittier than the first, with the pack fighting for survival, so there is more shifting going on there. The chemistry between Finn and Jessa is somewhat lackluster, mostly because Finn doesn’t want to taint Jessa with his world. I’m also not particularly happy with the cliffhanger, leaving enough questions unanswered to put a tinge on their HEA. No word on the author’s web site of future books, but I would hope with this ending the other wolves will also get their stories so those questions can be answered.
All in all, an okay book with only a few bright spots to keep my grade from going any lower.
Grade: C
Falling For the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby by Sasha Summers is a great start to the Bloodmoon Brotherhood series. I really enjoyed reading this book. It has a great pacing to it, and the chemistry between the characters is there. Which you of course need in any romance novel.
I think the billionaire part is just thrown in for that audience, I am seeing a ton of billionaire titled stories as of late. I don't feel that being in the title adds to this story. As a reader of werewolves before, I think the fact he is rich could have been set up differently. Dunno I just felt like that was there to cater to that audience not to add to this over all story I was reading. This story is really well thought out, and has a real solid arc to it beyond the billionaire aspect of it.
Finn when I first met him I was like wow, he is rather non caring…. Okay granted he just basically was given a kid cause the mom died. Ohh did I mention the mother never told Finn he had a son. So okay I get he didn't really have a bonding moment. But I would think meeting him he would have bonded. But anyways, we come in to he has to protect his son. But basically just doesn't want to raise him himself. He would rather higher someone to do that.
Enter in Jessa. She is someone who works for Dean Industries the place that Finn owns. He basically is like hey want this cool new job. Oh we will pay you and take care of your family too. She is like heck ya I am struggling. I so need this. Also she is really super motherly. She raised her brothers, and takes care of them. She knows the drill. This is why Finn knows she is perfect.
Over the course of this book Finn becomes extremely likeable. We find the starched businessman really has a soft gooey center when it comes to love and family. I really loved getting to see the real Finn.
We also get introduced to the pack, and some politics with that. What I loved about this book, it does not suffer from too much information. Sometimes first books do. Not this one.
I highly suggest this book to anyone who loves a great romance that makes you want more from the series at the end.
Five Shooting Stars
This book was good. I think it could have been great but for me the action and ending parts were rushed.
The way Finn and the guys became wolves was different and I appreciated that. Actually, the whole werewolf concept was different and it kept me interested.
Jessa is a woman who is struggling to support her siblings and help them make a life for themselves. When she gets offered the position of Finn’s live in nanny, the benefits offered is something she can’t pass up. Little did she know it would definitely change all of their lives forever.
Finn is a werewolf but not by choice nor does he really seem to understand it all. Like I said before, how Finn and the other guys became werewolves is interesting. Finn has enemies and now that he is a father he has to worry about protecting not only his son but his mate. The mate who has been working for his company but he has been avoiding. Finn has never really accepted his wolf side and feels like it is a curse not something to embrace. I liked watching him grow into his wolf and mature through the book.
I want to know more about the werewolf world. Are there more out there besides the ones we meet in this book? How did the others become werewolves? I am hoping these questions will be answered in the books to come.
Not only is this the first book in the Blood Moon Brotherhood series, but it is the first book by Sasha that I've read. I really loved it. One because it has an insta-love shifter style which is like chocolate to this girl. Irresistible. I adored Jessa who has raised her siblings after the loss of their parents putting all of her dreams aside to make theirs come true. LOVE that about her. Then add the fact that she falls head over heart for her boss and his baby and I was hooked. Finn was delish. Fighting not only his intense feelings for Jessa, but also his wolf until there was no fighting either of them. I am intrigued by his change and those of his friends and really can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
I give Falling for the Billionaire Wolf & His Baby 4 hearts!
Really good book. I enjoyed finn' s character. Looking forward to read more books from this author.
This is a fast paced, sexy, paranormal romance book that is slightly darker in tone. There's action, romance and an interesting take on werewolves (man made werewolves vs natural born werewolves). Jessa and Finn made a great couple and it ends in a HFN type of ending. This is the great start to a new series.
My rating: 4.0 stars ****

Received in exchange for a honest review
This was good. I would like to see where it goes next because there is danger and I am still trying to figure out why? Finn didn’t mean to trip on the bone and become who he now is. His guilt is palpable and has a life of its own in the book. He feels horrible about what he did to his friends and the consequences after. He has guilt at first over Oscar too but he does love the little guy.
Jessa is the strong woman who falls for Oscar from the minute she sees him. She has her own brothers and sisters to worry about as well though. Over time we see the attraction between her and Finn become more. But not without Finn fighting himself over it. He wants her and so does his wolf but he fears bringing her in his world. Unfortunately though she does become engrossed when danger comes to his home and hers. As finn has to let her in we see him become more conflicted. His wolf fights for his mate and it is fascinating to see. So is the dynamic between him and his friends. All the danger and mystery adds to the intrigue of who Finn is and how he became who he is.
The story is nicely paced and gives you both the view of Finn and Jessa. We see Finn fight himself over his feelings for Jessa and how much he loves his son. We see him fight to protect his son and how Jessa becomes part of his world. We see Jessa show love and patience and a group of friends come together to protect Oscar and gain back their lives once more. The romance is one that will fascinate you as you see them struggle with the feelings they have and what it means. In the end we get a great romance and a family that is more. We also get a mystery as to what is going on with the bone, Finn and his friends and why they have a enemy. Look forward to the next in the series.
Finn trusted few people but Hollis was one he did trust. He stood by Finn no matter what. He had just told Finn he was a father from a one night stand and the mother- Car didn’t make it nor had any family or anyone else come to claim the baby boy. Finn now had a son and that could ruin all Finn and Hollis been striving for the last ten years. Finn wondered what his child would become. This was dangerous for them. Too many unknowns, too many variables to turn the baby over to a stranger. There was also the Others and they would not be happy about the new addition. All Finn could do was see what the Others did and that just wasn’t his way. Finn had several million dollar companies to run. People counted on him Regatti and Martin were Finns advisors. And kept him on the strongest financial path. But Finns instincts had the final say so. Finn hoped Jessa Talbot was the right one for the assistant he needed as his last one had quit and he didn’t believe she would be back. Jessa was educated, well liked, and with excellent references and reviews. But two things stood out to Finn: Jessa was the primary caregiver to four younger siblings and she was struggling desperately financially. Finn was the head of the of Dean Industries and Jessa was nervous to be called to his office. Jessa’s siblings future relied on her staying employed. Her parents had died when Nate was a few months old. Jessa was attracted to Finn and she would have to work on getting over that attraction. Finn said needed her total interaction and attention. Also Finn knew nothing of children and Jessa did. She also had to sign a non disclosure agreement. Finn would also double her salary, help her brothers get into the college of their choice The project was to be for six weeks by then they would have nanny for the baby and then she would be his executive assistant. Also she would get a bonus that should cover her brothers and sister next tuition payment. Then gave her a cell phone and he also asked if her brothers could handle things for a short time. He also gave Jessa a blank credit card and told her anything she needed to use the card. Something about Jessa had put Finn;s wolf on high alert. Finn was a werewolf but not by birth but by an accident. He couldn’t afford to employ people who could make him lose control. She also smelled like heaven and Finn’s life was a well oiled carefully constructed machine with minimal to no hiccups. Everything he did was analyzed , every outcome considered ensuring his secret was kept. The five men that had this infection swore the infection would end with them. The men were Finn, Dante, Hollis, Anders and Malachi. There was to be no kids or families. But Finn already knew his son was a werewolf also. Malachi hadn’t spoken a word to Finn in the last nine years. Jessa felt a current, white hot to her nervous system whenever Finn was near. Jessa hadn’t dated for two years since she and Benjamin had broken up. Jessa didn’t know how to let anyone close. In the ten years since the men had been infected Finn and his pack had learned little about their adversaries. They didn’t know other werewolves existed until the other pack jumped Mal and Mal had barely survived. Finn didn’t think they knew about Hollis, Anders or Dante.
I loved this story I couldn’t put it down. It had me from the first page and kept my interest until the last. I loved Jessa who was so giving of herself first with her siblings then with Baby Oscar and Finn and he fell in love with both. The only complaint I had and to me it was a biggie that knocked the rating down from a 5 to a 4 was that I felt the ending was a cliffhanger of sorts and I hated that. I can’t stand cliffhangers as I read a lot and don’t always get back to a series unless I have an invite by the author. If there is another after this story I hope I get to read it. The way Finn became a werewolf and what he did was heart wrenching, my heart went out to him as though he were a real person. I loved the characters and the plot and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.
4.5 Stars! Tantalizing twists abound in this werewolf shifter story. Finn is such a tortured soul due to 'his curse' that the way Jessa accepts not only him but his baby, Oscar is a beautiful thing. Especially when he learns to accept the wolf himself. I just hope it's not too late with the troubled future and all the hurtles they and their pack are facing to do them good. Anticipating the next book in the series.

With lots of action and a different spin about werewolves than other books, the Blood Moon Brotherhood looks to be a promising series.
Finn is constantly fighting his wolf, and based on how his transformation occurred, it’s no surprise that he considers his werewolf nature a curse. When a woman he had an affair with dies after giving birth to his child he finds himself totally unprepared for what that means – it’s bad enough that he has never even considered being a father, but not knowing how his wolf nature will manifest in his child has brought some serious ramifications to not only him, but his pack.
Enter Jessa – a blessing and a curse to Finn. His wolf instantly recognizes her as his mate, and you can feel the bonds develop between not just Finn and Jessa, but also between baby Oscar. Jessa was really great – she’s had to raise her younger siblings so she’s no stranger to all things baby, but what I really loved was her protective nature – and not just to baby Oscar, but to her siblings, to Finn, and to his extended pack family. She may have been hired to be a short term nanny, but she brings so much more to Finn’s life.
There was a lot of time where Finn was fighting and denying the attraction between himself and Jessa, but once Finn accepts that Jessa is his, he’s fully on board with what his wolf has wanted from the beginning. And since Jessa and Oscar need protection from an all-out assault from the “others”, it’s a good thing Finn has gotten on board with his wolf!
There was a bit of a dark feel to this book. It was a bit edgy and had some darker moments, and you could really feel the evil lurking around the plot. I loved the twists to the werewolf lore that occur in this book’s world and the mystery surrounding Finn and his pack and the “others” (and just what is it about that bone?!!!) I did feel a slight disconnect between Jessa and Finn at times, it seemed that the emotional connection between the two didn’t fully evolve until the end, so some of their interactions seemed just a bit off during the first part of the book – not a big deal, but I was happy to see them finally get to a place where their actions and words felt like they in synch with each other.
Although I did enjoy this book, I was a bit disappointed at the ending, which left me hanging a bit and is why I only rated this one 3 stars. Since this is book one of the series I didn’t necessarily need a HEA, but I felt like I was left just short of a HFN and maybe one more chapter or tying up one more loose end would have given me that. There is enough great stuff about the world that has been created and the characters that I will definitely be looking for others in the series.
I was SHOCKED by how much I LOVED this book! Werewolves, billionaires, mates, and babies - it had just about everything a girl could want in a book. As a fan of insta-love, I really liked the immediate attraction between Finn and Jesse was palpable and understandable. I also like how we sort of jumped in to the story right away and details on the backstory were neatly interspersed throughout - it made the pace of the book fast and fun. There was the perfect amount of suspense, action, romance, and sex. I can't wait to read the rest of the series and learn more about Finn's pack. This may or may not have jumpstarted an obsession with shifter romances for me. I gave it 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
Loved the title of this one and the cover was a perfect fit for the blurb but I felt like I read two different stories.
The first half is basically Finn, this cold and distant billionaire boss with a dark secret (he's a werewolf! Shhh!) Against his will, Finn turns furry every full moon. The opening scene has him finding out he is the father of an infant boy. The mother, Cara was a week long fling that somehow resulted in a surprise baby. At this point in the story, Finn just wants someone discreet to care for the baby until he can arrange a more permanent arrangement.
Enter Jessa. She's raised her younger siblings since they were in diapers and has held a job in Finn's company with great success. She's competent, loyal and doesn't ask unnecessary questions. Basically the perfect candidate for the position of temporary nanny.
The emotional connection is missing. There was an instant ripple of awareness between them but neither pursued it. It was a slow start to their relationship. The bonding between baby Oscar and Jessa was cute but between Jess and Finn? Not much happened.
Things start to really pick up during the second half on the story. The reveal of the Others, the transformation on the full moon, the kidnapping and getting to know Finn and his reluctant pack mates added some drama to the story that was missing in the beginning. Where as at first things were kind of at a stand still, now the story burst with menacing rivals, sinister plots and exciting new information. I couldnt put it down! Not to mention we finally get to see Jessa and Finn give in to their attraction!
I'm not a fan of a cliffhanger ending so I knocked a star for leaving me hanging regarding the pregnancy but I'll be waiting anxiously for the next book to find out Jessa's fate.
When Jessa Talbot’s boss offered her a promotion, she agreed—no questions asked. Her family needed the money, but fighting the attraction she feels for her brooding employer is tough. Worse, she instantly bonds with his infant son she’s caring for. But this is a temporary solution and she can’t get attached to either of them.
Finnegan Dean is cursed. He’s a nicely dressed monster, the wolf inside always looking for a way out. But there are two things he and his wolf agree on. They must protect baby Oscar and Jessa—his mate. While the wolf hungers to seal their bond, Finn fights the instinct. After all, if he really cares for her, he’d never doom her to the life he lives.
Review:
My second paranormal romance for last week was a cross between a boss/assistant, unexpected baby and shifter romance. With all that going on it could have turned bad really quick but was executed well and very engaging. I really liked the back story about who Finnegan and his friends became wolves. I loved Jessa, she is a natural nurturer, strong and fierce....a great heroine. Finn is just yummy, a fighter when faced with adversity and he is just so sweet when he finally gives into his love for Oscar and Jessa. The story also is filled with lots of sexual tension and wonderful intimate scenes. I cannot wait to find out what happens in the next book! And another new-to-me Author to read.
4Stars

This was an enjoyable, suck you in, can't put down kind of read. You can feel this couple's connection and the love they had for the baby. This story has some danger and some angst, but they do get their HEA. We are left with some questions at the end of this book, which I hope will be answered in the next one. This was a good read with some hot sex scenes.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
3.5 "I Protect Mine" stars!!

I enjoyed the premise of this story. For some reason, Finn's constant struggle with his wolf really humanized him. Not to mention the feelings and vulnerabilities unleashed by the presence of Jessa and baby Oscar.
Oscar's presence raised the stakes in a war between Finn's pack and the Others and he refused to allow his son or his mate to be casualties. I found the whole idea of how Finn became a wolf intriguing. It was a cool blend of urban myth, culture, and artistic license. I found the writing that let up to and flowed from this incident to be quite colorful and entertaining.
My only real issue with this story was its conclusion. It felt unfinished and I haven't located any leads as to a follow-up story. If there is, I'd be interested in finding out what happens next.
