Review by Amanda for Love Romance Books Blog
In general, novellas are tough to impress me if it's not part of a series that I've already read. It's tough to fit in character development and an interesting plot with fewer words. The third novella in this anthology (Strange Tango by Michelle Dayton) exceeded my expectations.
Hoodwinked Hearts by Ainslie Paton
3/5 stars
I was expecting it to be a heist story but it was more about what happens after the heist and thieves trusting each other (or not trusting each other). I enjoyed the description of the heist itself.
Rough Edges by Emma Sinclair
2/5 stars
Maybe it's due to the short length, but this one didn't seem to have much of a storyline to it. I'd recommend this one to people whose ideal book is steamy love scenes (and pretty much only steamy love scenes).
Strange Tango by Michelle Dayton
4/5 stars
This story is the reason I rated the whole book a 4, since I figured this story was worth reading even if you skipped the other two. I liked the characters and was impressed that it actually had a developed plot line. (less)
