I LOVE Entangled Publishing's Brazen line of books and Samanthe Beck is one of my favorite authors! The Love Emergency books are all standalones but if you've read the other books, you'll know Sinclair. Sinclair owns a jewelry business that she runs out of her home. She loves where she lives, out in the country in an old barn that she is slowly coverting to a home. At her sister's wedding, she is disgusted and surprised to see Shane, her first love who broke her heart 10 years ago. He went into the Marines but never contacted her when he said he would, and at a time when she desperately needed him. Now he's back and he wants Sinclair in his bed again, and he'll take her any way he can get her. Sinclair is really upset and still hurt with Shane from all those years ago. Now with her house in a flood zone, due to Shane's job, she's not sure if she can trust him again. This was an awesome read and a book that was hard to put d
Loved this emotional read about second chance at love. Shane and Sinclair are high school sweethearts who are given a second chance after 10 years. Sinclair insecurities get in the way but Shane is determined to win. When Shane makes decisions that affect their future Sinclair choses to trust in their love to build their future. Recommended read.
Loved this book! Hot, steamy and funny - this book had everything I look for in a romance book. I loved the heroine in this book - she was awesome! Looking forward to reading more by this author!!
I love a good second chance romance, and Samanthe Beck delivers in this sexy and sweet story! Just before high school graduation, Shane had come to Sinclair's rescue and for the next three weeks, they'd been inseparable. But with Shane heading off to the military and Sinclair going to spend the summer in Europe, promises to keep in touch fell by the wayside as real life intervened, resulting in a split that neither really got over. Ten years later Shane is back for a short term contract with his company as an emergency planning consultant. The sparks are still there between them, even as Sinclair knows that Shane broke her heart once, and could do it again. Can they find a way to put the past behind them and build a new future together?
This is a really fun and sexy story, with a few emotional moments as some serious topics are touched upon, yet it still has a lighthearted feel. Because of the way Shane and Sinclair's relationship as teenagers dissolved there was never any real closure for them - and they discover that it's easy to fall back into old patterns. Sexual attraction was never their problem, and they share some very steamy scenes even as Sinclair is reluctant to reveal the depth of her feelings for Shane. Sinclair's home is threatened by a new golf course being built, and Shane feels torn with his responsibility to do his job while trying to protect Sinclair. The conflict is genuine and they go through a few ups and downs on the way to their very satisfactory ending. And the epilogue is super cute! Always a delight to read a book by this author. 4 stars.

I struggled with this book I felt I was reading it forever. The characters clicked however it took too long for anything exciting to happen. I was hoping for more out of this book as I was really looking forward to it. It just didn't do it for me.
** i received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**
Shane Maguire is back in town after ten long years away. Sinclair was the one that got away, the girl he’s never gotten over, but history is seen a little differently from Sinclair’s point of view. Shane’s appearance back in her home town shoots a mix of pain, and yearning through her body. He was gone and never looked back; Sinclair left to pick up the pieces. Now that he’s back and demanding to get reacquainted, Sinclair resolves to keep him at a distance, not risk her heart, because she’s not sure she could survive the heartbreak a second time. Shane’s definitely a sweet, sexy, Southern charmer, but she’s not the naïve girl she used to be.
If you love second chance romances then you’ll love this super hot, emotion filled story! Samanthe Beck’s writing made Shane and Sinclair’s lust, longing and hurt come off the pages, straight into my heart! Darn, that woman can write some hot stuff! I loved their playful banter, the high voltage sexual tension between them! No matter the barrier Sinclair tries to erect, Shane is the man to make her walls crumble. *sigh*
A total recommend!

Shane and Sinclair had a teenage love affair, which unfortunately left scars. At the age of eighteen, Shane has to enlist to the Army or go to jail, but he thinks that he will keep communication with Sinclair, but things do not go as planned. He returns to his hometown, a successful, different man, where no one would expect much of family name. Sinclair flips when she sees him, and does not want anything to do with him, but the chemistry is still combustible, and Shane wants another chance, but they first have to deal with the past. There is also the issue that he is there to help his development that would take Sinclair's home from her. It was a nice love story.
Emergency Attraction is the third novel in Samanthe Beck’s Love Emergency series. All the novels are standalones so you don’t need to read the first two before reading this one.
Storyline=second chance at love
Hero=Shane is ready for the one that got away (or the one he left behind) and he will stop at nothing to get her back.
Heroine= Sinclair was burned once by Shane and you know that old saying “burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me” and Sinclair has a secret she has no intention of sharing.
I loved this HEA so much because it brought out so many emotions while reading. It took me one an emotional journey with the characters. I felt joy, I cried, and I enjoyed the smoking hot scenes. I loved how determined Shane was in his pursuit of Sinclair. While I admired Sinclair for her strength. I would recommend this book because the storyline is timeless, the characters were enjoyable, and by the end the epilogue wraps up all three novels leaving the readers fulfilled. It was an easy 5 star read!

Emergency Attraction was a hot, fun and very entertaining second chance love story.
The storyline was well written, the plot was easy to follow and the drama was well done.
I loved watching Sinclair and Shane reconnect, you could feel their attraction/connection all throughout the book and the chemistry between them was off the charts!
These two had me staying up late into the night reading their story, it warmed my heart seeing them come together after all the misunderstandings that kept them apart.
I'm a huge fan of author Samanthe Beck's work and once again she's given us a hot and steamy read with characters that will entertain us and leave us with a heart full of happy feels.

Second chance love stories are among my very favorites and Samanthe Beck’s newest release, Emergency Attraction hit straight at my heart. I adored this story because not only was it a second chance story, but the hero is reformed bad boy, who has gone on to do great things in his life since leaving his home town and his girl behind. This story pulled me in from the word go and didn’t let up until the last very last page.
Full disclosure – Samanthe Beck is another one of my phone book authors – if she writes it, I will read it. Her books are hot and sexy romances with bold and ballsy heroines and alpha males who love them all the more. Explore some of her previous series and be prepared to fall in love.
Honestly? Whoever thought risk assessment and emergency management wasn’t a sexy occupation, apparently needs to meet Shane Maguire. Because WHOA. His authority when it comes to all things involved in public safety was hot. But beyond that, it was impossible not to love Shane, both the boy who left town on a rail and the man who returned as Magnolia Grove’s prodigal son. The goodness of his heart was always there, but it was clouded by disapproval and small town judginess. Shane’s second chance wasn’t just for the love of his life, but for the hearts and minds of his hometown.
Sinclair was a force of nature. There were moments where I wanted to provide her with an attitude adjustment (i.e. a smack on the butt) and then others where I wished that I could give her a huge mama’s hug and take away her hurt. I adored Sinclair, but at times it was difficult to see her through her veils of anguish. Clearly her heart still beat for Shane and it was going to take a lot to strip it all away. But layer by layer, we get to see this woman in her full form and she is even more amazing!!
Emergency Attraction could be my favorite book of the series. The depth of feeling between Shane and Sinclair is just so strong and strikes you from page one. They’ve been apart for ten years and yet their chemistry pops off the page. Every step you take along with them; it feels as if you are falling in love with them in real time. It’s not all rainbows and kittens though, the end of their relationship left them both emotionally battered, which Samanthe captures so perfectly. Their heartbreak and assumptions are anchors, weighing them down. These emotions fuel many of the most powerful (and sexy) scenes, so make sure that you have a cold beverage and cloth handy to take that edge off.
I loved this book through and through. Definitely add it to your TBR and enjoy!!
Happy reading!!
Sinclair isn’t ready to see Shane ever again when he comes back to their hometown due to their past history, however the chemistry hasn’t gone away and they can’t let it go. Shane doesn’t realize how much Sinclair went through after he left and until they work through their past troubles they will never be able to find their happily ever after. You will not want to put this book down!
3.75 stars-- EMERGENCY ATTRACTION is the third (and final?) installment in Samanthe Beck’s contemporary, adult LOVE EMERGENCY erotic, romance series. This is former Marine and risk management assessor Shane Maguire, and jewelry designer Sinclair Smith’s story line. EMERGENCY ATTRACTION can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous story line is revealed where necessary. Sinclair is the sister of Savannah Smith (Emergency Engagement #1).
Told from dual third person perspectives (Sinclair and Shane) EMERGENCY ATTRACTION focuses on the rekindling romance between our leading couple. Ten years earlier Shane and Sinclair were in love but a then eighteen year old Shane Maguire enlisted in the Marines to avoid some trouble back home, and in the ensuing time Shane and Sinclair lost contact with one another. Fast forward to present day wherein Shane has returned to his hometown of Magnolia Grove, and the woman he has never stopped loving in all that time. What ensues is the second chance romance between Shane and Sinclair, and the fallout of ten years of anger and betrayal for a woman who lost more than the man that she loved.
Sinclair Smith was sixteen years old when Shane Maguire walked out of her life but things did not go according to plans and our heroine struggled with the loss of the only boy she would ever love. Throughout the years Shane never stopped loving the woman from whom he walked away but walking away had never been in the plans.
The relationship between Shane and Sinclair is one of second chances but ten years earlier Sinclair struggled with more than the loss of the man that she loved but a loss that has affected her life in many ways. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Savannah and Beau Montgomery (Emergency Engagement#1), Madison and Hunter Foley (Emergency Delivery #2), as well as Sinclair’s parents, and an assortment of townsfolk, politicians and the requisite evil who has history with our story line hero.
EMERGENCY ATTRACTION is a sweet story of second chances; a rekindling romance between two people torn apart by circumstance, a lack of communication, misunderstanding, secrets and life. The premise is lighthearted and moving ; the romance is passionate, sexy and spicy; the characters are spirited and energetic. EMERGENCY ATTRACTION is a touching story about fated lovers given a second chance at life and love.

Second chance romance! Yessssss :)
Shane and Sinclair had a totally believable reason for not working out the first time, which definitely helps make the second chance romance troupe work so well here. I also appreciated that neither one of them was truly at fault for what ended up happening with their original relationship, beyond the fact that they were both so young. But when their second chance comes along? Watch out, people, because these two are H-O-T together.
And yep, Shane does know his way around the ol' romantic grand gesture, I'm happy to report. Total swoon-worthiness. (Samanthe Beck visited my blog to talk about RGGs--thanks, Samanthe!) Throw in an epilogue that is just too flippin' cute for words ("Your mother borrowed something"--LOL), and you've got a winner here, folks!
Emergency Attraction is book 3 in the Love Emergency series, and though there are aspects of the story that will have a bit more meaning for people who've read the other books--Sinclair is Savannah's ( Emergency Engagement ) sister, and there's a slight overlap between books 2 ( Emergency Delivery ) and 3--a dramatic scene from 2 plays out in the background early in this story--but if you haven't read the other books yet, you'll manage just fine.
I'm not saying you won't want to read them, mind you... ;)

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Emergency Attraction is a sweet, sexy second chance romance. Sinclair is a strong, independent woman who lives in a slowly being renovated barn and is a self employed jewelry designer. When she sees her first love at her sister's wedding, and shares a dance with him, her days of keeping people at a distance and away from her heart are about to come to a spectacular stop because Shane is back home and not about to let the one who got away to get away from him again.
Sinclair and Shane have got chemistry up the wazoo, but there is a decade of pain and misunderstandings that lie between them, and Shane has to work his very fine ass off if he wants to gain Sinclair's trust and forgiveness. But, Shane, a former Marine and now an emergency planner, is not adverse to hard work, and Sinclair's worth every ounce of sweat he has to produce to get her to open up to him and let him back into her heart and her life. I love that Shane is an alpha in every sense of the word, but he's not too OTT about it. He's sweet and a good man. And Sinclair, that woman is amazing! She's tough and strong, and a survivor. I don't think every woman could go what she went through at such a young age, and come out on top and even stronger for it. When they reunite, sparks fly all over the place and their bond becomes even stronger now that they're both adults and thinking with their heads, not just their other parts *wink wink*. And their epilogue, talk about ooey gooey sweet! I love it, the romantic in me just can't resist endings like that.
I'm having a hard time finishing this book. It is just a bit hard to get into and follow and these characters are just hard to relate to.
Another amazing story from Samanthe Beck in her Love Emergency series! I wasn't sure what to expect with the past not being revealed until halfway into the story, but Beck pulls out all the expectations and delivers a story to swoon over.
Being as this is not the first one but still fresh as a author for me wanted more to taste from her. This one sounded so delectable but of course I picked one already in a series. No matter I was still able to eat it right up. This is also a favorite of mine is that they get a second chance regardless if they realize that at first or not. No longer a military to be in the path it was a adventure that was fun to follow that had moments of heat that did more than knock my socks off. When it is rescue time you find out what and who needs to get rescued with them both being in danger but from the heart because of what burns between them. By the time you reach the end you are fried from the heat and good story.
This is a book 3 in the Love Emergency series and it features Sinclair Smith and Shane Maguire. Teenage lovers separated too soon and 10 years later he's back in his hometown. All the sparks are still there but will explanations be enough for forgiveness?
I adore Shane! He works hard at what he wants and refuses to give up a second time. I especially love the epilogue! Very funny and very sexy!
I WANT A WILLOW TREE!!!
I’m a fan of Samanthe Beck. She always, always writes heroes I want to fall in love with and heroines I would love to be friends with. The men and women of her Love Emergency series have been incredible with their easy going attitudes, strong wills, passion, and love. What has surprised me about this series is that not only has Samanthe added passion and heat, but she has thrown in heartbreaking moments.
Emergency Attraction is the second chance love story of Shane Maguire and Sinclair Smith. Ten years ago, an eighteen-year-old Shane left sixteen- year-old Sinclair and his troubles in Magnolia Grove, Georgia behind to join the Marines. He promised that he would contact her and that they would be together. After months of not hearing from him, Sinclair’s trust was broken. But in the process she lost more than anyone could imagine.
Fast forward ten years and Shane is all grown up, mature, and a different person. Oh, his urge to help people is still a part of him. He just uses it in his job as VP of Disaster Planning and Crisis Management for Haggerty Consulting. Shane’s company is hired to implement an emergency plan for Magnolia Grove and he is sent because of his knowledge of the town. Not only does Shane want to show people he isn’t anything like his criminal brother, but he also wants to reconnect with Sinclair “the one who got away”.
Sinclair has no intention of letting Shane back into her life. But Shane is definitely persistent, taking her on tours of their past haunts. These tours are a way for him and Sinclair to reconnect not only physically, but emotionally. As it turns out, while these two knew so much about each other, there are some things they don’t know.
What started out as childhood love has blossomed and remained strong, even with time and distance. Like the roots of a willow tree, the love of Sinclair and Shane is deeply rooted and strong enough to withstand any storm rained down on them.
When it comes to romances for me, I always look for a hero I can fall in love with easily, one who makes me laugh, smile, and sigh. Shane is all that and then some. He might make some mistakes but he tries very hard to keep his word. Sinclair and Shane have a passion that isn’t easy to ignore. The secondary characters add tissue-worthy moments and definitely add to the story.
It should be noted that this is a standalone read, with past couples returning.
