Susan Stoker has given us another fantastic book, just as good as all rest. You start reading and the words flow so good that you will be pulled right into the story. I never want to stop reading her books.
The characters in this story were fantastic. Alexis was a strong woman character and Blake was a wonderful protecting boyfriend. The way they finally got together was a nice change, both having feelings with neither knowing.
Definitely a great read and one I highly recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Rock Star Lit.
I enjoyed this although it was hard to get into the book as I felt as if I'd missed out on a chunk of what was going on that happened in book 1. Good action though but the characters weren't really my cuppa.
Pleasant enough characters but they just struck me as sophomorish. Maybe because of the way Alexis almost idolizes Blake, the fascination with his forearms, saying women throw themselves at him, etc.? She just comes across as immature. Maybe because Blake seems to run hot and cold towards Alexis? He comments on her physical appearance (lack of stature where he usually dates taller women, etc,) and then says how beautiful she is. Then all of a sudden (after some light drama) he's wanting to have a relationship with her? Sorry, and I'm probably in the minority here, but I just couldn't feel any type of spark between the characters here.
This is a new author to me and I would give another story in the series a try to see if it was just this one that didn't work for me.
Thank you NetGalley and Montlake Romance for an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review.
I have read pretty much all of Susan Stokers books, I love them. This one so far I have found to be flat. I haven't read the previous book in this particular series and I wonder if that would help. I will keep trying, but so far its like a bad day at work where anything and everything distracts you and at the end of the day you realise you didn't actually get anything achieved and you feel blah.
This is the second book in the Susan Stoker series of Ace Security, three brothers, triplets, who were abused by their mother and all left town when they were 18. They have now returned to their hometown in Texas where they started a security agency for victims of abuse. Blake, the second triplet is working with an intern, Alexis, who is a wealthy young woman but doesn't know what she wants out of life. He is not sure about her and isn't quite sure why she is even working with them but Alexis wants to prove herself. This was a cute romance. I didn't really think it was enough of a story to be a romantic suspense, and at times had to suspend belief in the storyline, but overall, it was a quick enjoyable read. This particular series of Ms. Stoker is good, but I enjoyed Seal of Protection and Delta Force series more than this series so far. It may be that I am just more in the mood for military romances, but that is my issue and has nothing to do with how well written this series is. Ms. Stoker never fails to write a good romance, and a fun story. Thanks to the publisher for allowing me to read this for an honest review.

I enjoyed this edition of the Ace Security series. Blake was super sexy (of course), but had a nice understanding nature that meshed with all she had going on. Alexis was relatable in a lot of ways, but a bit unreal in others. Perhaps a bit too much of a need for Blake to have to build up her self-esteem at times. Not that this detracted from the story, because I enjoyed how their relationship played out. The bad guys were a little one-dimensional, but made for a tense, fast read. It was my first Ace Security book, and I look forward to the next one – I was intrigued by the lead-in.

I absolutely couldn't wait for this story! I loved every minute of it! Although the second in this series you can read it without reading the first book. Although I highly recommend the first book as well! You won't be dissapointed with this book!
Raise your hands if you want a Blake! Hands up! The second book in the series and it keeps getting better. Blake and Alexis are wonderfully written characters who are nice and caring and loving. There is some suspense but not a huge amount as this story is more about Blake and Alexis’s slow moving romance. I loved it.
Looking forward to the more brooding Nathan’s story.
Alexis is secretly in love with Blake. When danger comes with her going undercover it brings out the Alpha male in him. A must read.
What can I say about Susan stoker's books but wow. I loved book one with Logan and this was book 2 with Blake the second of the triplets and Susan just didn't disappoint with this one. I felt the emotion from the two characters from the start of the book as Blake started to take Alexis out for "business" when in fact he would of preferred a date. Alexis has liked Blake since she started at ACE security and it seems Blake felt the same although she was tending to skirt around the issue. She helped in the first book and wanted to take down the Inca boys who we met in the first book where graces parents hired them to kidnap her. So she decides to get close to an old frenemy from high school and gets introduced to the Inca boys but things start to go down hill. I could feel the fear and anxiety coming from Alexis as I devoured the book as she starts her journey to get close and take them down. The book Ramos up as things take a turn and there is a Kidnapping. Can anyone get to them in time? This book had everything for me. Laughter from when Alexis first got drunk and spoke her mind, intrigue with what would happen next and who was Kelly really, danger, kidnap and suspense as I navigated the pages, holding my breath as I find out who survived and who didn't. I love Susan stoker's books so much and between her three series this one takes a slightly different course but still an excellent book none the less. I would recommend this series to read to anyone. Blake and Alexis work at Ace Securities and are trying to figure out how they can get information on the Inca Boys gang. Since saving Grace, the Anderson brothers have been trying to stop the gang from wrecking any other lives. While Alexis had feeling for Blake right away, it took Blake a little longer to figure out that he really liked Alexis.
Wow, Alexis is much braver than I would be to go into a bar with known gang members to try and get information. There was so much action and drama in this story that I could hardly put it down until I finished it! I like when a book not only has great romance but has a great story with a bit of a mystery thrown in!
There was such emotion throughout this book, we can see the love that the brother have for each other, the love that is growing between Alexis and Blake, the pain that Alexis endures after her ordeal, and the pain she feels when she remembers that people have used her for money her whole life.
It is not necessary to have read Claiming Grace, but it is fun to read them together as the story flows so well between books. The set up for Claiming Bailey was great – kind of can figure out how Nathan will meet Bailey but will he realize who she is? I am really looking forward to reading Nathan and Bailey’s story. Susan Stoker is one of my favorite authors and I look for her new releases, and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed all of her books, and there is not one that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a great read.
I loved this book! Alexis and Blake are amazing together. I loved watching them fall in love and I love that they don’t fight and break up for stupid reasons, once they’re in love they’re done. This book could stand alone but it is so much better if you read Claiming Grace first (it’s awesome too so no hardship there). Susan Stoker is one of my favorite romantic suspense writers and a flat out amazing storyteller. I loved this book and I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
This story had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. Alexis is a strong, independent woman who is trying to find her place in the world. She and Blake are intense and steamy! I loved the agnst and heartfelt emotions that were portrayed by Alexis and Blake. In true Ms. Stoker fashion, this story ROCKS!!
Another home run for Susan Stoker. I LOVED this book and can highly recommend it. Parts of it had me laughing out loud and others had me on the edge of my seat with fear for Alexis' safety. Suspense, love and laughter all rolled into one incredible book, what more can you ask for?
This is the second of the series and wow, does it deliver a punch. Blake and Alexis's story delivers on their chemistry, suspense and strong characters. Always enjoy this authors secondary characters interactions. FInd a comfortable chair because you won't want to put this one down.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
fun read. love how it's set in Colorado. loved this brother Blake. loved how Blake saw more than just a rich girl looking for approval.
I am a fan of this author, but for some reason, this series falls short for me. I think the surrounding plot held promise but it was soon rendered unbelievable. Without giving too many details, I found it hard to believe that crimes being committed out in the open would not attract attention. I also found the dialogue between the characters to be juvenile.
I love all of Susan's books, but I think this one may be my new favorite. There was something about Blake and Alexis that pulled at my heartstrings. I can't wait for Nathan's book. Thank you so much for writing such wonderful stories!

I did enjoy it a lot. I got very excited for the action to happen and I very pleased with how it was developed. Though, I read this book with a sense of doom. I was just waiting for something bad to happen, and for Alexis to be in danger and to be saved. the plot is very similar to 'Claiming Grace' in that aspect.
