Marlie survived a real life nightmare...a serial killer. She struggles every day to make it through the day. She isolated herself in a cabin away from her hometown because she couldn't tolerate the looks and comments from others. Marlie had no desire to go back there until she found out her sister is missing. The one person in Marlies life that she loves and shes missing now. Marlie has no choice but to return and start her own search for her sister. Marlie ends up hiring a Kenai who is a private detective. Marlie and Kenai never expected the wild ride they would be taken on.
This is a knuckle biting, gripping and page turning story! It has lots of action and suspense. I loved the whole book and will most likely read it again and again! I loved the characters and their personalities. Theres even some humor thrown in here and there that will make you LOL. The story sucks you in from the very beginning and I couldn't stop reading it until the end and even then I didn't want the story to end. This is a must read!!!

I really enjoyed this book. After reading 72 hours from Bella, I was more than happy to review this one too.

It's a story of Marlie Jacobson, that was briefly mentioned in "72 hours".
7 years ago Marlie was kidnapped by a psychopathic serial killer known as The Watcher, but managed to kill her captor and survive. Now her sister Kaity goes missing and Marlie needs to find her. The police thinks Kaity simply ran away with her boyfriend Chris, but Marlie refuses to believe that. She thinks Kaity was taken, so she hires Kenai Michelson- the best tracker there is, to help her find out what happened to her sister.

Was Kaity kidnapped? Are they all in danger?
I'm not going to go into details here. To find out you'll have to read the book. All I can do is recommend it to you, cause I think it's a really good read.

I liked the plot of this books. It was interesting and kept me on my toes most of the time. I figured out who the killer was on my own before it was revealed, but I still enjoyed reading it. Even more than I did 72 hours, to be honest.

I liked the characters too. Sexy and broody Kenai and sassy Marlie made a great couple. I loved their banter. They put a smile on my face quite a few times. Bella created really interesting characters here.

This was another great book from this writer. I enjoyed it a lot and hope there are more books like this one to come in the future.

Holy smokes, this was scary and good and scary and hot and just WOW and me sitting on the edge of my chair, to going to switch all the lights on and to make sure all my doors and windows were closed and locked!

I really loved the way Bella writes, her characters are always so believable and I am always happy with the way she tidies up an ending. But also in this series leaves it open for the next story in the series.

Bella writing is beautiful and powering always keeps you encaged. I am so happy I got to read this and am looking forward to the next.

Marcie is the only survivor of a serial killer 7 years ago. Her mother wrote a book about Marcie's 'experience' and made a fortune but, Marcie is still just trying to survive day to day. When Marcie finds out that her younger sister has disappeared, she hires a very well-known PI, Kenai. He's an ass and, she's not in the mood to deal with him or his personality. Unfortunately, she has no choice. They both feel an immediate attraction to each other but, both fight it desperately. This story is breathtakingly fast-paced, petrifying, heartbreaking at times yet, life affirming. I was FASCINATED!!!

Once again I am completely captivated by Bella's words. This book hit all of my favorite areas. All the feels. There was suspense, angst, passion, fear, and some humor as well. It was perfectly balanced with dark and light. I was so caught up in the story I did not want it to end.

The characters are super intense and both very secretive. At first I was worried about this. But eventually it all worked out. Well.... In some ways. There was a lot going on. There was so many details and little clues here and there that was like dropping bread crumbs and I kept following. It was great! I loved the chemistry they had. I loved the sexual tension.

Marlie and Kenai the odd couple you think would never work, but in some strange way they do when they aren't being ripped apart by psychos. There was a lot of ups and a lot of downs with them. But that gave me hope. I was hoping they would work it all out and no one would be dead in the end. But that doesn't always happen.

This was a great read! I loved it. One of those I didn't want to put down and couldn't get enough of. If you're looking for a suspenseful read with lots of action.... you've got it and then some.

I love romantic suspense books. My love for reading started with Thrillers, and I already read over a hundred books in the suspense genre. So I have high expectations. I enjoyed 72 Hours, so I was looking forward to this book. This book has the typical romantic suspense plot: woman is kidnapped by a crazy killer, escaped, but her life is still consumed by those horrific events. It is not easy to make this plot very original, so I was curious to see how Bella would give it a twist.

For me the story needs to be somewhat unpredictable. If I already know who the bad guy is pretty early on in the story, then I won't enjoy the story as much as I would've if it was a mystery. However the author did try to put me on the wrong foot a couple of times, but I didn't fall for it. Kenai is suppose to be the best in the business, but that was debatable in my opinion. I didn't like his cold and rude attitude towards Marlie, thankfully it got better when he and Marlie had a good talk. As for their relationship, it didn't pull me in that much. I liked that their was a lot of action and things going on. There was also great character development. I also liked Bella's writing. Overall it was an okay romantic suspense read for me. For me this plot has been done so many times, and I have read it so many times that it is really hard to impress me. I think new to the genre readers will probably enjoy it more.
