Haley Callahan is a dedicated agent and a good friend, but she has always kept to herself about her past. But when she finds herself being followed by shooters, she realizes that it might finally be time to put the past to sleep forever.

Steven Rothwell is a police detective and Quinn Holcombe's new partner, so when Haley asks Quinn for help, Steven comes along too. Steven and Haley end up spending a lot of time together, Steven wants to help her, but he also respects that she is very capable of taking care of herself.

Haley had a rough childhood, and has started a center to help at risk youth. She holds fast to her faith, and has a strong determined spirit that inspires those around her.

A fast paced read that was hard to put down, taunt with suspense and chemistry between Haley and Steven. There were so many twists, along the way. I love the way that Haley is a survivor, and she has a cool head under pressure. I love that Steven is a cool headed man too, and he wants to come and help Haley when she needs it, but respects that she can handle a lot of her own battles. A fantastic read from beginning to end, highly recommend and hard to put down!

As always, Lynette Eason delivers a fast moving suspense novel that will keep you holding your breath.

What is not to love, women that are bodyguards? Then a grandfather than owns a castle?  Death stalking you on every corner, gunshots, knife wounds? This book is full of them.
While probably not the most realistic, I loved how this story brought out about children that end up in bad situations because of how life has been for them. Haley and the street children story that was told in small bits and pieces throughout it really brought it home.

Book #4? I hope there are more to come in this series!

This is the first book I've read by Lynette Eason and it did not disappoint. Full of action and danger, this story kept me on the edge of my seat nearly the entire book. The main character Haley would have to be a super hero to survive all she did. The characters were appealing and I enjoyed the ending.

I have really enjoyed this series about a group of bodyguards and how they do all they can to protect those in their charge. I like how they go the extra mile even when their own lives wind up in danger. The danger that Haley finds herself in is tied to an old case, but even so the danger is real and relevant. The detective in charge, Steven steps in to help protect Haley and her client.
I enjoyed seeing peeks of the past as they worked together to find out who was behind everything and persevered throughout all that was thrown at them. A real page turner.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher, the review is entirely my own.

I have read all 4 books in this series and have enjoyed every single one of them! I love reading about strong, female leads in a book. The beginning of the story was very interesting and kept me intrigued from the first to the last page. Even though I read alot of Christian suspense books, the ending was not how I guessed it to be and was a surprise.

The story line pace was steady and the characters were easy to relate to and follow. I am a big fan of books by this author and I especially loved this series! I can’t wait to read her new Blue Justice series next year!

I highly recommend this author for clean, christian, highly suspenseful stories!

Eason's books just blow me away. I have loved every page of this series and am so sad to see it end. Each book in the series became my new favorite as I read them.

This book flew by because I was hooked in the first paragraph. I couldn't wait to find out what was happening and who the good and bad guys were. The pages just couldn't turn fast enough to find out what was next. And the action was superb. Never a dull moment in this one!

I noticed with this book that the spiritual message is not "in your face" but a more subtle message of hope and forgiveness. I love that I could share this book with a non-Christian friend and they wouldn't find it preachy. Yet at the same time I didn't find it worldly either. The overarching theme of forgiveness was so strong and so important.

And who can leave out the love story that simmered all through the book. It wasn't the main theme but a very nice underlying story. And truly there was more than one love story because romance wasn't the only love in this book but you'll have to read it to know what I'm talking about.

This was a great read. I highly recommend reading the entire series in order. They are all wonderful.

I received a copy of this book from Revell. These are my honest opinions.

Talk about a book that leaves you on the edge of your seat! In one day, Haley Callaghan`s life is turned upside down. She has to rethink everything she knows about her history, while never forgetting that her true identity has already been found. And a good thing she has friends that are more like siblings who don`t think twice before protecting you. Haley also meets detective Steven Rothwell, who gets involved accidently in her case but turns out to be the one who`ll most help her hash out the new events surrounding her life, as well as dealing with two young teens that end up under her care.
Both characters have wonderful hearts, and both are dealing with past regrets and anger. I really appreciated how they came to help one another to deal with forgiveness.
Overall a very page-turning and engaging story.

In true Lynette Eason style, the final book in the Elite Guardians series is fast-paced and danger-packed from beginning to end. In one night, Haley gets caught up in a domestic situation and then learns that she was supposed to have died twenty-five years ago along with the rest of her Irish family—a family she never knew she had. She’s not really Haley Callaghan, but Aileen Burke, and her life could still be in danger. She quickly learns her life most certainly IS in danger, but which direction the danger is coming from? Maybe both?

One of the things that makes this book fast-paced is the fact that Haley never gets a chance to be on the front foot. She’s constantly reacting to situations that are forced on her, right up to the end. The domestic situation throws quite a heart-tugging story into the mix, with teenager Zeke and his twelve year old brother Micah, who desperately needs heart transplant, and the way Haley becomes involved in their lives shows just what a heart she has for struggling youth.

Detective Steven Rothwell has moved back to South Carolina to be with his parents as his father battles cancer. It also forces him to confront the memory of his brother’s death, and eventually the man responsible for it, who is up for parole. Although it is a less prominent story line in the book, there are some wonderful truths about forgiveness incorporated into the story.

The romance here develops naturally and with little fuss. The focus is definitely on the suspense, so this is an ideal read for those who are only looking for a light romantic thread to go with their suspense. Definitely an action-packed end to the series!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Now her grandfather has found her but who is trying to stop her from finding out who she really is? Her bodyguard friends and a detective help her find the truth and discover God's love and forgiveness along the way.

This series just gets better and better. I love learning more each book about all the characters in the Elite Guardians. This one has Haley in it and we get to learn more of her background. There are many twists and turns through this story. I received this book through Revell for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Amazing conclusion to another great series by Lynette Eason! Haley learns that her identity was changed twenty five years ago. When multiple attempts are made on her life, she is forced to face the past. Haley is left wondering if the same people that wanted her dead twenty five years ago have finally found her, or if she upset the wrong person by promising to protect a teenage boy & his family. Detective Steven Rothwell has recently returned home, and also must face a great deal of heartache from the past. When Steven meets Haley, he is determined that she will not face the dangers alone. Haley is in a race against time, and she must learn the truth in order to stay alive.

I really enjoyed that the author included the main characters from the team in each book. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order, as you continue to learn more about each character.

I was not ready for this series to be over! Eason created an amazing team of women I wish I could be friends with. There was just the right amount of suspense with romance mixed in. I was intrigued to learn more about Haley and her secretive past. Chasing Secrets is the fourth book in the Elite Guardians series. I have read and loved the whole series, but also think you can read this book as a stand alone. The Elite Guardians are a group of women with many different skills and talents. They serve as body guards, and protect each other along the way. They are good at what they do, so good that sometimes they become targets themselves.

Haley has had the feeling she is being followed for a while now. Not knowing who is behind it is driving her crazy. But it seems that no matter what she does, her enemy is one step ahead of her. When Haley learns more about her past, the suspect list grows to include people as far away as Ireland. Can someone want her dead because of a family she doesn't even know? Or could it be that she made a new and deadly enemy all on her own? Steven has a job to do, and sometimes it involves protecting someone who doesn't want protection. Can Haley see beyond the circumstances and capture a love that just might last?

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense. I enjoyed getting to know Haley better and learning about what made her who she is. I felt the romance progressed nicely and didn't feel forced. The danger around every corner kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I loved seeing Haley's caring side and felt her love for the teenagers she helps. I received a copy of this book from Revell Publishers. I was in no way forced to post a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Chasing Secrets by Lynette Eason tells the story of Haley Callaghan. This book is book 4 in the Elite Guardians series. Haley provides security with the Elite Guardians and helps run a community center for teens. She meets a new police detective Steven Rothwell and he soon becomes her ally as someone seems out to kill her. Haley is contacted by someone from Ireland and must confront a personal tragedy in her childhood. I highly recommend this book! The action never stops and it is hard to put down once you start. I received a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What an amazing story!!! Twists and turns and so many mini plots without distracting from the main storyline and characters. More please!!!

Elite Guardians bodyguard Haley Callaghan may be in South Carolina, but when a photo leads investigators in West Ireland to open a twenty-five-year-old cold case, her life is suddenly in danger. Haley knows how to take care of herself; after all, she's made a career out of taking care of others. But after an uncomfortably close call, Detective Steven Rothwell takes it upon himself to stay with her--and the young client she has taken under her wing. A protector at heart, he's not about to let Haley fight this battle alone.

In a sweeping plot that takes them into long-buried memories--and the depths of the heart--Haley and Steven will have to solve the mystery of Haley's past while dodging bullets, bombs, and bad guys who just won't quit.

After several attempts on Haley's life she is beginning to wonder if it's more than the young boy she is guarding. Especially after a detective comes from Ireland telling her she is not really Haley Callaghan. As the story unfolds, she has to pull out all the stops just to stay alive.

Steven just met Haley but he is drawn to her immediately and will do anything to keep her alive.

As with all Lynette Eason books, this did not disappoint. I highly recommend this book.

An enjoyable crime fiction read, I did it too busy at parts, which made it hard to focus on the story. Not my favourite book but it did hold my attention.
