Simple and extremely informative. I liked that the author included examples, and events. No complaints here. Thank you for allowing me to read this book.
This is a hateful book pretending to be truthful. There is no difference in the views of this author and the insane ramblings of Hitler. I used more than 40 academic references when I did my degree and had to laugh when he cited Wikipedia as a source of his information. I personally don't follow any religion but I respect others views. I think that the God of the old testament is nasty and vengeful, however it is this God that is worshipped by our Jewish friends. I'm of the opinion that there's good and bad in any religious teachings and its up to the individual. There have always been religious extremists, how about the Knight Templar's, but then it was the Catholic Church that murdered them in the end.
Islam, A Threat to Civilization, by William Russell, is one of the most well-researched books on the subject of the Muslim religion that is now in print. Most of the prose is straightforward and comments are backed up with quotes, rather than just the opinions of the author or loose interpretations that leave readers confused.
Unfortunately, when read with other books on the subject, it will make readers realize that our religious freedom is at risk, due to what is actually written in the Koran, and the diligence that the Muslims are showing to infiltrate themselves into all nations.
For anyone interested in religion, and especially those who want real facts rather than just opinions or personal interpretations, this is a great book to get started. While fairly lengthy, it’s easy to divide it up by chapters, so it goes fast. This is one of the best books out there on this subject.
I was hoping for a better written, better-argued book. I can't take the author or their argument seriously.
Islam – a Threat to Civilization, 2nd. Ed. by William Russell is a book published by First Edition Design Publishing.
I was skeptical considering what it is going on in the world if posting this review publicly.
The author says he doesn't know any men or women of Islamic faith.
I do, they're not friends but I live in an italian rural countryside where from 35 years at this part muslins, sellers, bring us clothes, the necessary for the house, socks etc. Some of them are very good people. The first ones, arrived in 1976, the most serious ones.
Some of them wants old iron from us for being re-sold.
Their Bible the first one I read when I was 15 years old because I had to write a thesis about the Iran of Khomeini.
I also discovered that same year something else: I lived in a dormitory of nuns and there were two girls from Puglia, South Italy. They were attending a course of Maria Montessori for becoming elementary teachers.
For what I know of, they became this and better. Life was good. One of them once that we, all teenagers or anyway very young women, we were four in total they were in their 20's went out for eating an ice cream all together confessed us she decided to afford in our city because she fell in love for a Morocco's boy during that past year and so when she went to the biggest city it was for seeing him and not "for working" as she told us.
It was and it is a happy marriage for what she told me via Facebook, and they have now a 14-15 years old son.
The terrorist attack of 9/11 have been devastating to me as well because I have three friends in NYC and one of them worked very closely at the Twin Towers and all our lives, the one of Davis, Loida, my same life although I live in Italy was changed forever because of that event like the rest of the life of all the other ones.
I didn't sleep well per months and to me the end of the old world became that day and from that moment I haven't never lived anymore in peace although differently from the author of this book to me it is important to understand something: that without the help of moderate Islam (At Manchester some muslin denounced the guy killed 22 people including many teenagers) we can't go too far. Because as we can see these muslins are born live and grow up in most cases in the country where later they commit these criminal acts.
This story is very complicated and gives me a lot of sufferance.
There is a profound study of Islam in the book but I would prefer if the topic would treat considering the times without too much acrimony because there are many good muslins that can tell they don't recognize in these terrorist people of their own faith, because their God doesn't want any war, their God doesn't ask to kill any people for pleasing him. We know for sure something: that there is an enemy completely unknown, a terror able to change the life of people in a second and that we must fight it, but we must do that with extreme intelligence.
I thank NetGalley for this ebook.
This is a powerful book on Islamic law, there beliefs and ultimate take over of Western culture. Some I wondered about but after researching it myself see that yes the Quran does have a massive passage that says infidels should be killed. That is there fundamental belief therefore how can you claim to follow a religion that in there book that is there teaching? Do I think Islam is a religion of peace? No I do not. Allah himself promotes violence to all non believers and Muslim people follow his word. Do I think All Muslim people are violent? No but you follow the Quran which teaches such vile things. Just read the book it's an eye opener....
Although I see Islam as a threat to the nations I am unsure how much of this book to believe and feel that many of the same 'facts' are being repeated again and again.
I am concerned that so many see this 'political ideology and theocracy' as not a threat or a problem, even in the church, when you consider how people are treated in Islamic nations.
Please note I failed to finish the book.
I was given this book by Netgalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary review.
Loved reading this book. Its a topic close to my heart. Great insight and would recommend this book
Islam. Where do I even begin. We felt the knife to our hearts when 9/11, we felt it all throughout the world. It really brought to light that there really is no limit to the lengths that evil would go to in order to harm lives of living. There is no end to the possibilities of Terrorism and in the eye's of an extremist, anything is possible if they are committing the act of terror in honor of their so called Allah. I wouldn't go on to refer Allah as God, he is the absolute opposite, he is the definition of evil therefore reminds me of Satan aka The Devil.
Sadly there is no safe place in this world that can remain untouched. Even in my country of Australia, they have managed to carry out terrorist acts. It's just deeply disturbing and sad.
This book spreads awareness behind the true meaning of ISLAM and does not sugar coat in any way shape or form. It's told for what it is, that is, well and truly evil!
I highly recommend taking the opportunity to read this book and possibly gain even more extensive insight into the true intentions and meaning of ISLAM. It's an eye opener by all means.
Happy Reading :)
