A truly diabolical premise with tension crackling off every page. A must-read for all who enjoy intelligently-written stories with great characterizations, and who enjoy surprise twists at every turn. A great addition to this genre, and highly recommended. I'll be reading more from this author!
*My sincerest thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me the privilege of reviewing an ARC at no charge.*
A thrilling conclusion to a solid trilogy. Very thought provocative in issues of faith,, good and evil, with a touch of the supernatural, but not affecting the grounded storytelling. A very enjoyable ride!
I usually don't read sci-fi, especially sci-fi with religion. When I realized that both were in this book I almost quit reading. I'm glad I didn't. I became intrigued with the characters, especially Daniel. I read the entire book focusing on Daniel and the people surrounding him and tried to block out the Sci-Fi, since it scares me. This was part 3 of a trilogy and I noticed I was missing some information but it was surprisingly easy to read without the first reading the first two books.
I really liked the flow of the book and the characters. I'd be really happy if this author would write a mystery/thriller that didn't include sci-fi. Maybe he already has, I'll have to look into that
I did not finish this well written but way out there novel- it just wasn't for me. I'm not sure how to characterize this, which mixes mystery with metaphysics and dystopia and other stuff. There's an audience for this among those who like more adventuresome novels.
Interesting and intriguing! Excellent conclusion to one of the best trilogies I've read in a long time!
OK. I show my age here, but this book is Amber revisited. But Roger Zelazny was so much better a writer.
I enjoyed Book 1 of this series, had reservations about Book 2 and I think Book 3 is preposterous. And it is like so many many others. The bad guys are really really evil and the good guys aren't very good. It's better for us all if the world ends.
Nonsense.
I received a review copy of "The Savior's Game: The Daniel Byrne Trilogy, Book 3" by Sean Chercover (Thomas & Mercer) through NetGalley.com.
