Keely Andersen has always been the one that was trying to hide away with her nose in a book hoping that the bullies would leave her alone. With her studies she had managed to go around the world and see what was really out there. She had not been home to Marietta in a long time and getting the chance to do a year long study there was both a dream come true as well as a worry because she did not being treated as she was still a child by her parents and her brother. Little did she realize that coming home would also mean falling hard for her brother's best friend all over again but this time it wasn't just one way.

Jonah Clark had left town just like Keely off on his adventures. While he did as much traveling and seeing the sights as she had, he also had to deal with the harsh reality of the real world when he deployed multiple times to Afghanistan as an Army helicopter pilot. So when he came home for good and now worked as a first responder he hoped he would heal. He was not expecting part of that healing to fall hard and fast for his best friend's little sister who had grown up in more ways than one.

Now the two of them just have to figure out how to make this last not just the year she is back, but forever. For this is the school girl crush that has turned into a hot and heavy romance, the one you dream of happening in your life.

As in true fashion with Jeannie's books and the town of Marietta, Montana, this is not a disappointment. Not having read any of the other Men of Marietta I did not have a problem with just reading this one first, although I am sure reading the other 2 first might add more to it. It is a wonderful HEA book that you will enjoy.

I loved this book. The Marietta Montana books are great. I have loved reading Jeannie Moon. I love the best friend sister. Kelly and Jonah are a fantastic couple.

Jeannie Moon offers up another fantastic small town romance in Daring the Pilot. Saved by her brother’s best friend ten years before after getting caught in a freak snowstorm in the woods near her Montana home, Keely Andersen never forgot how safe she felt in Jonah Clark’s arms, back in town to complete her research for her doctorate Keely is once again rescued by Jonah when her truck breaks down on the way into town, and finds that being near Jonah gives her all kinds of thoughts but she is sure he still sees her as his friend’s kid sister. I loved the slow burn of this romance, but what I loved more is how much these two admired one another for their accomplishments and for the people they’d become. While there was no denying the chemistry between them, it was the friendship, the trust, and the mutual admiration that made their relationship stand out. From quiet moments spent talking, to hikes in the woods for research, to sensual sexy moments; Daring the Pilot was simply a well written and thoroughly entertaining romance.

For years Keely Andersen has been living in tents and moving from one place to the other all in an attempt to know the world better, to understand its changes, and to hopefully help mankind. Keely is smart and driven, but after the senseless death of a classmate she also began to realize that she missed home and the people and town that meant so much to her. At a crossroads in her life and career, Keely is in town for one year to complete her research what she doesn’t count on is finding Jonah Clark home, out of the Army and working with the rescue squad.

I always enjoy books where the couple has history even when it wasn’t romantic history. Their lives are already intertwined in some way which always enhances the story. Keely harbored feelings for Jonah even when she wasn’t sure what those feelings were, but as he was quite a bit older than her it never went anywhere and Jonah felt protective of her because of her brother, but that didn’t stop him from noticing she had grown into a beautiful woman. I loved that Jonah appreciated Keely’s love of science made her who she was and he wasn’t afraid to ask her questions or try to understand her world. While Jonah didn’t like that Keely saw him as a hero, he accepted her praise because he realized that if he hadn’t saved her all those years ago he might not have survived the loss of her in his life. I loved the closeness they felt to one another the minute the reconnected, but liked that they didn’t rush into anything and really got to know one another as the adults they are now. I adored Jonah’s family, but Keely’s family grated on my nerves a bit with the way they treated her like a young child especially give the fact that she had traveled all over by herself for years.

Daring the Pilot was sweet, sensual, and with enough tension to make the story interesting. If you love small town romance then you don’t want to miss this one from Jeannie Moon!

I love that Jeannie Moon always writes intelligent and strong heroines. Not only did Keely and Jonah have chemistry, but having grown up together they also had deep caring from the start. This is the perfect blend between sweet and emotional and hot and sexy. One really can't go wrong reading anything by Jeannie.

Keely was always the smart one, and felt she had to live up to everyone's expectations. After leaving Marietta to pursue her education and travel the world researching, she is ready to come home, and her doctoral project is just the excuse she needs. Of course, before she hits town, she breaks down and is rescued, again, by her brother's best friend and her childhood crush. Jonah Clark always felt protective of Keely, especially after saving her life when she was younger.
These two are fun characters with an enjoyable story. This is the nerdy girl with a crush on her brother's best friend that finally sees her when they are all grown up. There were parts of the story that made me giggle, and the characters kept me turning the pages. This was a fun addition to the Men of Marietta series. It is a part of the series, but will work as a stand alone, though I recommend reading the other stories.

I could really relate to Keely for I was a “late” bloomer too. Everyone thought of me as the sister. Took me years to find someone who thought of me as a woman. I felt bad for her that she was doing something that was expected of her and not what her real passion was. Jonah is the ultimate hometown hottie that had to see Keely what she was now, not what she was then. If someone were to be my rescuer, please make him as hot as he.

I really good story about coming home and going for your heart’s passion.

Jeannie Moon did it again, by making me fall in love with her heroes, Keely and Jonah, in the book Daring the Pilot, the third book in the Men of Marietta series. Super smart Keely Andersen has crushed on her brother’s best friend for as long as she can remember. Jonah Clark left his position as a pilot for the Army and joined the search and rescue crew in Marietta. When he encounters the grown up and beautiful Keely stranded by the side of the road he goes into protective mode, wanting to take care of her. These two have off the chart chemistry which is difficult for them to avoid. All Keely wants is to be her own person and especially now that she has returned home, after traveling the world for her experiments. Jonah wants to protect her and love her, her family treats her like a young child, and Keely is confused trying to choose which path to follow; continue her research or teach and spend her life with Jonah.

I loved the manner in which Ms. Moon described the struggle Jonah had with posing for the calendar that was to raise money to save Harry’s House in addition to the way he decided that he had to do it. Also, having the other emergency workers at Jonah’s shoot was a fun addition and connected this book with the others.

I really enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down, reading it in one day. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Keely Andersen hasn’t visited her hometown more than a handful of times in the last ten years, but when her doctoral research sends her back to Marietta for the immediate future, she can’t wait to reconnect with the community and the mountains she missed so much. Of course, nothing goes as planned, and Keely’s truck breaks down a few miles outside of town. When help arrives, she finds herself face to face with her brother’s best friend – the guy she used to call big, bad and gorgeous – Jonah Clark.

Still settling back into Marietta after a harrowing stint as an army helicopter pilot, Jonah Clark plans to spend a few days hiking the local mountains to prepare for his job as a pilot for Crawford County’s Search and Rescue team. When he stops to help a stranded driver, Jonah is shocked to find his best friend’s younger sister is the one behind the wheel. Only now, instead of the geeky teen he remembered, Keely is all grown up with curves he can’t resist.

Though the sparks of attraction ignite immediately, they’re hesitant to act because of their shared past. But when a project dear to their hearts is threatened, and a boy is lost on Copper Mountain, Keely and Jonah drop everything to fight for what matters, including each other.

This is part of a series, however, you don't have to read them all to understand this one. If I were you, I would just for the pleasure though!! It's amazing to me all the information fit into this book but I like those types of books. I love a good book with a plot and Jeannie does that really well. I also love a book about 2 people who have known each other forever. Friends to lover books are my favorite! He was her brother's age and she was a couple years younger and did I tell you I LOVE those books???! Cause I do! He saved her and that was it for her...Jonah, bless his heart he's just unaware that there's anything there. He just knows he saved her life. Jonah keeps saving her over and over and they keep getting thrown together and one thing leads to another....again my favorite!!! Read this because you won't be able to put it down and you'll want to pick up the rest in the series.

I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on NetGalley for an honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.

Grab your tissues because Daring The Pilot, book three in the Men of Marietta series certainly calls for them. This friends to lovers story is a quick read that touches on guilt and family expectations as two honourable people discover the depth of their feelings for each other.
Keely has loved her big brother's best friend Jonah since she was a teenager though he's only ever thought of her like a sister. Back in Marietta, Montana ten years after she left to pursue her studies, she quickly discovers her feelings are just as strong as ever.
Jonah has always liked Keely but is shocked to discover that now she's back in town he's also insanely attracted to her. He worries that acting on that attraction will be a betrayal of her brother's trust but he can't get her out of his mind.
With strong, likeable characters, a gorgeous setting and a fast paced plot, this story gripped me and kept hold until the end.

Sigh this book was just terrible. I honestly have nothing positive to say about it.

Keely Andersen hasn’t been home since she left for college touring the world to see all she could and learn all she could. She’s always been an outcast, but she’s been happy or so she thought. Enter her love interest from years back Jonah Clark. Jonah begins to see Kelly as a woman and not just a kid and starts to fall for her.

Ugh I seriously cannot even. This book was terrible. Keely an intelligent independent woman is a moron. She has unprotected sex and decides to say; “whatever happens happens” even though she has no job. She goes into the wilderness by herself even though she’s almost died numerous times out there by herself. I could have let that all go if it weren’t for the fact that she started saying she hated being smart and just wanted a family instead of having to work. What? Seriously you’re in your late twenties barely, it’s not that hard to have everything and not regret it. This book just made me feel like if you’re a woman who wants more than being a baby machine then you give up everything. I hated that. Jonah was boring as heck and I just couldn’t stand this book.

Keely has had a crush on Jonah forever. He's rescued her twice. But, he's her older brother's best friend, so that means he's off limits, right? Until they kiss. The desire is undeniable. He doesn't believe her account of something in the woods...until it's too late...when she's in harm's way. And, her brother isn't happy with him either. He needs to regain her trust, and she needs to find a way to forgive him...before it's too late to repair the love between them.

Keely returns home for research on a project after many years and is rescued by her brother's friend, Jonah. Jonah has returned to join the search and rescue team. These two reconnect and find that their pathway in the future may be together.
Love the return to Montana and Marietta with the setting and characters that this author pens.

Ebook from Net Galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

I really enjoyed this book. Keely is the nerdy little sister of Jonah's best friend. When Jonah and Keely reconnect after not seeing each other for years, Keely isn't the nerdy girl he once knew. Instead, she's a beautiful, irresistible woman but she's still off limits. I liked the chemistry between these characters and this was a great story. I'm really enjoying this series and I can't wait to read more!

A highly enjoyable read. Both Jonah and Keely are back in Marietta after ten years. The flare of attraction they had back comes roaring back. What I enjoyed about this book is you can feel the connection between the characters. Jonah is great hero material and I love how protective he feels about Keely. They have their work cut out for them, but will Keely realize what she could have with Jonah is worth it?

I immediately fell in love with the two main characters and loved the story. I read it all in one sitting and wished for more. I would have liked to know a little bit more about why Jonah left the military and well as why her brother was such a dick.

Enjoyed this book, though it did take a while to become engaged their relationship. Yes, it was a slow burn, however I found it rather emotionless. About half way in, I loved it, and didn't want to put it down, and then, it just ended. So overall, a sweet romance, that lacked, for me, much emotion

Daring the Pilot is a sweet, sexy small town romance. Keely is a 28 year old geologist back in her hometown while working on her doctoral dissertation when her old truck breaks down on the side of the road. She's rescued by none other than Jonah Clark, her older brother's sexy, one time best friend, on whom she used to have a huge crush. Jonah is a former Army pilot, and now a pilot for the local Search and Rescue unit, so rescuing is in his blood. That this is the 2nd time he's had to rescue her isn't something she's likely to forget. 10 years previous, he rescued her from a fast moving blizzard, and she's never quite forgotten what a hero he is.

Keely is sweet and smart, but one thing she isn't, is experienced. But, Jonah can, and will, change that. And when their relationship evolves from simply him being her rescuer and her older brother's one time best friend, to her lover and her rock, how will she handle it? How will her family handle it? How will her mostly indifferent, but still protective, brother handle it? Well, they don't handle it very well, but thankfully Keely is strong and she puts them in their place and allows herself and Jonah the space they need to deal with their evolving relationship.

I really like Jonah and Keely. He's kind, protective and alpha without being over the top about it. She's smart and independent and doesn't allow anyone to push her around. She reacts badly toward the end after she's been in an accident and she finds out Jonah has gone behind her back in relaying some information to his brother (the town doctor), but she eventually gets over it. Their chemistry is hot, and I like how Jonah allows her to explore her newfound sexuality and confidence. Seeing them fall in love is sweet, and the small town feel of Daring the Pilot isn't so overwhelming in the way that some small town romances can be.

I enjoyed this story, it was a real love story. Keely comes back home after being gone for 10 years, and the first person she sees is her long ago crush Jonah, who was her brothers best friend, but he only saw her as the nerdy little sister of her brother. Jonah is shocked to Keely all grown up, and he is instantly attracted, but decides he is going to avoid her because she was the little sister of his friend, which makes her off limits. But the attraction is too strong so he really does not stay away from her, they get together, and unfortunately her brother catches them, and flips and is insulting, but Jonah wont have, brother or not he defends Keely. Keely ends up getting hurt, and breaks up with Jonah because she feels he over stepped his bounds with her. Jonah does not give up, and Keely truly loves him, so they get there HEA. Hope to read Gabe's story next.

4 Seeing What's Right Before Your Eyes Stars
* * * *
I am going to make this short and sweet. This is an addictive series because it is such an easy read. We have the theme of a calendar of First Responders being done to raise funds for Harry's House. This will be a safe haven for the kids of Marietta Montana. All of the books revolve around these Responders coming to terms with participating in this...and for some, "Dropping Trou" or taking off their shirts is more difficult than others.

This tale focuses on two people who have a solid history... Keely Andersen has known Jonah Clark forever.... and it all started when she was just 10. He was the same age as her older brother and never treated her as if she was annoying or a pain. He seemed to get her love for the Earth and how she was passionate about science....and when he called her Science Girl, it didn't sting like when she was teased at school... When he said it, it was done with warmth and caring.

Jonah became her Real Life Hero when he saved her from freezing out in the elements.
Keely was a senior in high school and had won a prodigious scholarship the whole town was talking about...Jonah was back for a few months waiting to start Flight School after graduating from West Point.

Keely had become stranded on one of the mountains in a freak April snow storm and called 911 for help. She knew better than to be out alone and was thinking this was the end. Jonah got the call and found her unconscious. He took her to a near by cave, warmed her up and literally saved her. When Keely woke up and saw Jonah, her childhood crush went into overdrive. Jonah, unaware of any crush was just really happy she was going to be ok... he had always like Keely and thought she was the smartest person he knew.

Fast Forward to Present- Keely has been traveling the world working with professional organizations which focus on the interest of Science and Earth. The latest project Keely is doing is in her hometown Marietta. She will be here for a year to measure and analyze the movements of the area...meaning the many earthquakes that happen all the time in the region. She is thrilled to be home... she has missed it so....She truly is a product of Marietta and has been longing to return for sometime.

As she is driving her brother's old truck to the town, of course it would just up and die leaving her stranded. Keely calls her mom to ask for Dad to come. Never one to wait patiently, Keely breaks the major rule of being stranded on a highway-NEVER GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE.

As she hears the noise of a someone pulling up and not her dad calling out to her, she is kicking herself for not being in the locked truck...Luckily, she hears a man asking if she is ok and then a questioning....Science Girl?

Yup, Jonah to the rescue again! Only this time, it is a fully Man Jonah with muscles on muscles and a smile across a face to love forever....

Jonah sees Keely and is stunned by the beauty she has become. He has always felt a kinship with her, her love of the planet and wanting to know everything. Only this time he is feeling a little more than that... and his body is sending him the messages. But his brain is screaming Danger Danger Will Robinson... she is off limits. Best Friend's little sis...No Go....

These two embark of a journey of rediscovery and a realization of how they were meant to be. There is more to the story but I will let you enjoy it with fresh eyes.

As I said earlier, this series is addictive in how all of the many authors have worked the main theme of the Calendar and Charity perfectly...some more than others...but all with consistency. We are given the flavor of Marietta, have reoccurring characters woven throughout and always a HEA for the main couple.

Daring the Pilot by Jeannie Moon is book three of the Men of Marietta. Like many others, I’m sure, I wonder if there is a real calendar out there somewhere. Jonah with Zero would made a great page!

This is Keely Andersen, Science Girl, and Jonah Clark, a pilot for the Search and Rescue Team story. It is clearly a coming home plot with best friend of my big brother trope. Both have been away, but Jonah is back after serving in the military. Though PSTD is not an issue in this story, it did leave its mark on him. Keely is a world traveler scientist. I found it interesting that her family had trouble seeing her as an adult now.

The story flows with these two have a long history as family friends so the love aspect didn’t seem instant. The ending with the added family complication made the conclusion feel rushed. All was solved in a moment. Is life that easy?

An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.
