This book is a DNF for me. It wasn't Samantha's best work. I just couldn't get into the story.
10 BRIDAL SQUAD STARS!!! This was the perfect second book in the Enchanted Bridal series. It is a beautiful story of friends and family coming together to prepare for Julianne's wedding. We get to see all four stories come to life in this book Julianne, Kayla, Harper and Natalie. The story is about marriage, friendship, families, love and drama. Samantha Chase does an amazing job at making her stories come to life and you can relate to them. I highly recommend this book, but I suggest you read Friday Night Brides first. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
A fun light-hearted read that takes us on the wild ride of wedding planning, friendships built both new and old, and relationships in general. We have the Bridal Crew. For long time friends that have gone into the wedding planning business together. Then we have The Saturday Morning Squad. This is Julianne and her bridal party that meet with the planners every Saturday working through the issues of the week. Each person has a story that is happening concurrently and intertwined with each other.
This was a fantastic read that brought out all the emotions. Definitely a book I recommend.
The Bridal Squad by Samantha Chase is the story of friends who have come together to support in the wedding preparations for Julianne (one of their squad). This should be an amazing experience that is romantic and fun however that is not the case for the most part. Each friend is fighting their own battle. Natalie has marriage problems, Kayla has relationship problems, and Harper has mother issues.
The Bridal Squad offers a strong dose of reality. The story reminds the reader that marriage is hard and relationships take work – even the best relationship isn’t always rainbows and puppy dogs.
Although I liked Julianne’s character the best because she was the one I related to the most, I thought Harper had the best line in the book “Hard to hurt yourself when you’re a big puddle of goo on the floor from a hot guy pressing his equally-hot boy all up against you”.
Even through each character struggled, they all get their happily-ever-after in the end. This story may have some tough topics but it is hopeful and confirms in the reader that strong family and friend bonds can help you get through anything!
What a great read! This is a story of four women, all in one bridal party, and their quest for love and a stable relationship. These relationships include the men they love, their immediate family members, and their friendship with one another. Everything is called into question and nothing can be taken for granted. I loved the insights of each character, especially knowing what the other women in the bridal party were thinking about what was said and done. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
What I live about this book is that even though there are 4 separate stories being told, they all connect and mesh well together. Four friends, four problems, but only one marriage.
Julianne is getting married, her sister Harper has a couple failed engagements, Natalie is having marital problems and Kayla is a commitment phobe. So how they all connect to each other is what would seem difficult but truly just flows because at the base of these problems are friendship. While some are solid the others grow just as much as these girls do.
The character I most rooted for is Natalie. At first she was irritating but only because of how naive she was. She grows so greatly in this book that she's just the one who'll keep you. At least for me. While the other girls are intriguing I just found their troubles to be less appealing because they're easier to fix.
I love the ease of the read, the writing style and how diverse each character is. I always wonder if you can see characteristics merge together and just become one person in different situations but that isn't the case here. There's definitely an opening for more stories to be told!
This is a wonderful 5 star book about friendship and relationships that will absolutely fill your heart up with love. One of the things I loved the most about this book was the friendship between the four very different women who are dubbed the Saturday Morning Squad by Hailey and the Enchanted Bridal crew. They are all such wonderfully developed and relatable characters. There is a separate storyline for each of them that is running concurrently and intertwining with the main storyline and each one is very realistic. This takes some seriously great writing talent and Samantha Chase has that in abundance! It held my interest from the instant I picked it up and I had to stay up very late to finish it. I love books like this!!You do not have to have read Book 1 to enjoy this one, but you should read it anyway because it too is amazing.
Each one of the squad, Julianne, Kayla, Natalie and Julianne's sister Harper, is having her own struggles and is going through a different stages in her own personal relationship yet they are all there to support their friend Julianne who is the bride they are planning a wedding for.
Each one of the men in the story is so different but perfect for the woman he is with. Brady is probably my favorite though. You'll see, have a good read for yourself! You deserve it!
The Bridal Squad is the female contingent of a bridal party, Bride Julianne, Matron of Honor Natalie, Sister of the Bride and a Bridesmaid Harper and friend since childhood and Bridesmaid Kayla. These ladies seem to be the typical bridal group trying to get along with varied personalities, friendships and difficult lives while planning Julianne’s wedding. Samantha Chase welcomes you into their exercising, snipping, frustrations and finally, love with women who could be your bridal party.
I missed the first book and am waiting for it to come out next week, Friday Night Brides. This story begins with the ladies of that book opening their dream bridal shop Enchanted Bridal. The Bridal Squad is their first wedding and they are ready to give it their best. They seem to have a good idea of what Julianne and friends are looking for in a wedding.
As you get to know Julianne, Natalie, Harper and Kayla, you see they are typical friends who learn to understand the true meaning of friendship and the difficulties in supporting each other as well as holding each other accountable. Their men are all very different and still suited to their particular lady. This is a great weekend read sitting on the beach while relaxing or on a chilly patio to keep you warm inside. Samantha Chase is one of my go to authors for romance with her knack for making her characters real.
Wow! Another amazing quartet of stories for the romance and women's fiction lover! The lives and loves of these four women interweave in such a way that you can feel their friendship and commitment to each other. Not only that, but you better grab your tissues about half way through, and then again a few more times! A little sexy and lotta feels!
4 entertaining reads
The bridal squad is about 4 friends who though very different people have a beautiful bond together. They all are going through some type of crisis and the way they support and are there for each other was very endearing. Ms Chase has spun it in such a way that I felt as if I'm a part of the squad. I laughed with them and cried them them and even felt like shaking them up a couple of times :).
You get 4 stories in one book with the bridal squad, each entertaining in its own right.
I love wedding book, but Samantha's are my favorite. I love how she captures the 4 main characters. They are so different and have strong personalities, but she makes it work. Julianne is planning her wedding to her dream guy Gavin, Harper is her sister and has had many failed engagements and her Mother won't let her live down, Kayla is Julianne's best friend who lives in the moment and doesn't think about the future. And last but not least Natalie. She is the married friend who seems to have her life together. At the beginning of the book when Natalie is talking it's all about Natalie and her husband Jayce. I didn't like Natalie at first, but as the book goes on she does get better so give her a chance. The setting of the book takes place around Raleigh, NC and Enchanted Bridal. The girls from Friday Night Brides show up, but just enough. I'm glad it wasn't mostly about them. Samantha gave us just enough of an update on each of them that it was perfect.
As the book goes on you will find out just have how much the girls aren't really living the lives they put forth into the world you will be pulled in. This book is so much life "real" life. Most of us put a better picture out there to the world than it really is.
You will have to read to see how and if they all find their happily ever after, but you won't regret reading this book.
In the best of times and the worst of times, it's always good to have friends. Samantha Chase, spotlights the beautiful bond that toes the line between crazy and amazing in the Bridal Squad. From Natalie, who always needs to be in control to Kayla the bridesmaid reluctant to even take on the role. Julianne, the Bride is slowly losing her mind as the day draws ever near, while frustrated sister Harper may be giving in to her fears. The Bridal Squad is like looking in a mirror with how relatable the scenarios are, but the area Ms. Chase never seems to miss, is the impact she makes on the heart.
This book about four tight knit girlfriends is truly charming . It totally reminds me of TV a show I loved back in 80's called Sisters. The girls in this story are wonderful . Each of them have their own story. Each of them are in a relationship crisis . These girls are totally there for each other . My favorite couple was Natalie and Jayce. Their story was very real for me. I could totally relate to Natalie. I would recommend this book to fans of Debbie Macomber. Each of these girls stories came to life for me.
“The Bridal Squad” is an extension of “ The Friday Night Brides”…both standalone, and part of “The Enchanted Bride Series. So rest assures that if you haven’t read “The Friday Night Brides”, you can still enjoy “The Bridal Squad” on its own.
Having said that, Samantha Chase braved going on a different path with this story. So if you are expecting it to be a pure and pure love story, you will be disappointed and I’m going to be honest here, you’ll either like or hate it. But if you are familiar with Samantha’s books, and if you trust her creativity, this story is a good insight into Samantha’s writing prowess, not only as a romance writer, but also as an author who has the ability to be eloquent about human relationships, emotions and experiences.
Personally I loved this story!!! Four friends, with independent lives, battling the daily upheavals of life, with a friend on the verge of marriage, as another is on the fence of getting a divorce, a sister who has been battered with multiple breakups and a wanderlust friend trying to come to terms with a steady relationship. So many dynamics thrown into this amazing mixture we call relationship, it makes this story even more interesting to read.
The Bridal Squad is as practical as it can be, and as real as it can get, with friends finally being open about their feelings, sharing their fears and insecurities, and having each other’s back, despite their individual personalities, and so very relatable to your own group of friends.
The Bridal Squad is one daunting story that is rich in friendship, strong with characterization and deeply enriched with emotions.
Received an ARC from Chasing Romance via NetGalley for an honest review.
The Bridal Squad by Samantha Chase is another brilliant contemporary romance read. It's crazy, hilarious, and emotionally addictive. This novel contains four romances that wrap up into one beautifully engaging title. Each of the couples mentioned have their own issues. Similar yet so different from each other. I loved the variety of personalities from both the male and female characters. Samantha Chase always has a way of dragging me into her charcaters' lives. A reader will never doubt this writer's talent after reading her latest novel, The Bridal Squad. I'm a huge fan of Samantha Chase's books but readers will soon see why after reading this story.
The Bridal Squad offers four couples. Each at different areas in their lives. Romance that has either happened, just begun, or will be happening. I got a taste of what it was like to be each woman of the Bridal Squad. The female friends are an interesting group to follow as the plot unfolds. Marriage, commitment, happily ever after may just be there for all of the ladies...or maybe not. It depends if they can take the leap of courage and be brave enough to love. Love isn't easy. Nor does it happen over night. It can be messy as hell or super complicated. No matter what it is, Samantha Chase brings it to life on every page. I highly recommend it to all.
I was super excited to learn that Friday night brides was getting another book in the series and I loved this one even more than the first one. I hope there will be another book. Samantha chase is an amazing writer.
The Bridal Squad (The Enchanted Bridal Series Book 2) By Samantha Chase
Wow! Samantha Chase really outdid herself in this book. Samantha Chase is an amazing author and one of my favorites of all times. Samantha has a great writing style that you as a reader can enjoy.
In The Bridal Squad we get to catch up with Becca, Angie, Ella and Hailey from book one. We get to see how things are in their lives. I really enjoyed that part. We also are introduced to four new characters. We get to meet Julianne, Harper, Kayla and Natalie.
Julianne is the bride to be in this story. Harper is the Maid of Honor and Julianne's sister, Kayla is a photographer and on the go a lot and a friend and Natalie is the married friend of the group.
In The Bridal Squad Samantha gives us four stories in one. All four women struggle in their personal lives. I really enjoyed reading their stories and seeing them grow as friends and individually. Their struggles were realistic and I found it easy to relate. I enjoyed every aspect of this story. I found myself laughing and crying. I felt my heart swoon. All these elements make for a fantastic read.
I HIGHLY recommend this book. I give it five stars. Come on and read The Bridal Squad and find out what happens.
I have conflicted feelings about this book. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the story. It was very interesting, fun with a lot going on. On the other hand, it was not what I would consider a true romance, it's more of a women's fiction story. The focus of the story is the tensions and all the other emotions that go along with planning a wedding. Each of woman (4) is in someway dealing with their own crisis in their lives while helping the bride stay focused on the wedding plans. What I enjoyed was the friendships between the women and how they were there for each other no matter what. The storytelling was realistic and heartfelt and had me rooting for each women's HEA!
I have absolutely fallen in love with the writing style of Samantha Chase! Six months ago I had not heard of her, but now I am hooked and wait anxiously for each new book. I have read about 9 so far and have not been disappointed at all! This book was one that I literally could not put down. I loved all the characters. They were so well written, each with their own personal life challenges. It is nice to see characters have normal issues and are not perfect! The ladies of the Bridal Squad are Julianne, Natalie, Kayla and Harper. Each of these characters made me laugh, made me worry about them. I hope there are more books in this series! I LOVED IT!!!!!

The Bridal Squad
Enchanted Bridal # 2
Samantha Chase
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 wedding stars
This was another sweet romance from Samantha Chase. She has a knack with telling a story with feeling, love, tenderness and plenty of steam without taking it that further step.
The girls from Enchanted Bridal are back, now the owners of the popular one stop bridal shop, Hailey, Becca, Ella and Angie are big on creating the perfect wedding day for their brides, bridal party and mother. But they have their work cut out for them with their newest clients. Bride Julianne, big sister, Harper and best friend’s Kayla and Natalie become the “Saturday squad.” These 4 women will test the girls at Enchanted, each is different and at different point in their lives, but they come together to share in the planning of Julianne’s upcoming wedding to Gavin. As they plan the perfect day, each woman discovers the lives they are leading are not the perfect one they make it out to be.
Julianne is the bride to be, she is younger sister to Harper and is in love with her fiancé. She wants the fairytale wedding, big wedding dress... the whole everything. But with the mother from hell, she is constantly fighting a losing battle with her interference. She is a Zumba teacher that has become in demand at the gym where she works. She’s good at what she does, but planning a wedding is killing her. She knows what she wants, but a sister who really can’t stand another bridesmaid, her mothers “input” & best friend Natalie who knows everything about wedding planning, Julianne is over it.
Harper is Julianne’s older sister, she is the misfit of the family, engaged 3 times all failed relationships and constantly the butt of her mother’s constant put downs. She is so focused on what she wants in a man, that list will find her a lonely old woman with 9 cats... She likes her life the way it is, but could really do with removing her mother permanently ( and let’s face it that woman would push anyone towards murder).
Natalie Walsh hyphen Michaels ( notice the – yep, it’s a word as far as she is concerned), she is the absolute worst nightmare. She has opinions on everything. The wedding, the dress, bridesmaid dresses, food, time – you name it, she’s got an opinion. She pretty much pisses everyone off. She is so much better than the other 3 girls, her husband is the bomb.... Until all of a sudden her life is not so perfect. She will have to face up to her problems or let them ruin her world. Keeping them hidden is one thing, but hiding from these girls is something totally different. She will discover that the life she had is not all it cracked up to be, and it is Kayla that creates a haven for her.
Kayla Shaw is a photographer, she us amazing at her job and she loves it, about as much as she loves her on again off again non-relationship with her boss, Adam. She pretty goes along with anything as long as it doesn’t come from Natalie. She dislikes her, her attitude and demands on what Julianne should do. Veto with Harper comes in all decisions. So when she receives a terrible job, and a push off from Adam, her world starts to crumble. She wants Adam, but hadn’t really thought about long term, or forever, they were casual... do the deed, return to work you understand?
So when each woman is forced to deal with life as it is thrown at them, and the repercussions of ignorance, the wedding plans take a backseat to a roller coaster ride of life. Each woman will discover new things about themselves, their lives and their loves. Some will be stronger, some will fall apart some will find new love and all will come through. Best laid plans, we make for ourselves won’t always be what life gives you.
This is a story of strength, friendship, love and despair. But with a squad like these 4 wonderful women everything will work out, they just need to bare the brunt of that loop de loop coaster ride 1st.
Although this story takes on a story of the wedding squad, it is not without the women of Enchanted Bridal. Their relationship as owners is beautiful to read.
