Did anyone else picture Trevor as an early 2000's Matthew McConnaughey? Yummy. I have loved all the couples in this series, but Nat and Trevor are now officially my *most* favourite. Tough, independent - Natalie is the most realistically written single Mom that I've read in romance in quite some time. I'm not usually a fan of the "mom" heroine in romance because to be honest I read the genre to mentally escape MY children.... but this was well done. Maybe the twist of shared custody (you never find that, as a reader) made the blossoming for her and Trevor's relationship a little more natural.
Either way, cool.
My only point of complaint is the end part where, with much fanfare, Trevor proposes adoption to Levi. It was a bit maudy for my particular tastes, but may have been a necessary evil to tie in all the loose ends.

I have been lucky enough to get all three of the books in this series so far on NetGalley and have enjoyed Rhenna Morgan take on a bad boy/Alpha Male.

I loved the storyline and the characters dynamics, plus I liked how the story had some suspenseful aspects as well.

I look forward to reading more by this author and in this series.

Claim & Protect is the third book in the Haven Brotherhood series. I have loved this series from book one and Trevor & Natalie’s story is another awesome addition. I loved the storyline and the characters dynamics and look forward to reading more by this author

Let me first start out by saying Rhenna Morgan has quickly catapulted to the top of my "Favorite Authors" list with the Haven Brotherhood series. Each novel in this series has complex characters you immediately gravitate toward, a well-rounded story with depth, and, OF COURSE, zero shortages of mega sexy times!! Claim & Protect is book #3 in this series, and tells the story of our cowboy pilot Trevor.

Secondly, with these 6 *uber-hottie/bad boy/ultra-alpha* brothers, I will admit, I didn’t think Trevor would be the standout for me. (Patiently waiting on my #1 nerd Knox to get his story!) However, Trevor caught me totally off guard, twisted me up, and swept me off my feet! I loved that Trevor has a heart the size of Texas especially when it comes to his employee/waitress Natalie. (and her son Levi) What started off as protecting her from her ex, grew into something neither of them was willing to walk away from.

There is so much to love about this book, as proven by my all-time high of 91 highlights, but I think this one best sums up the story for Trevor & Nat. " You meet a women you think about before you go to sleep and first thing when you wake up, she's worth chasing no matter how messy it is"

Notable side character Ivan is also intriguing as a potential brother, and I hope to see more of him down the road as well.

Overall, Claim & Protect is a 5 star giddy up, awesome read from takeoff to landing, so I suggest you saddle up and buckle in for this one!

Summary

Trevor, along with those of the brotherhood, live on the edge, saving lives when he can even if it means being on the edge of the law but he has never regretted the chance to make a difference in others lives. His ability to protect others and sense a certain danger extends even to those that work for him. One of the business that he owns and runs, a bar the center of Dallas, one of his waitresses, is having trouble with her ex who is causing serious problems for her and her son and his protective instincts go haywire. Natalie main concern is making a fresh start for herself and her seven year old son. She has come back from a painful marriage, and marriage which only good thing was her son, Levi. She is working hard to get her nursing license again, working two jobs and still spending as much time as she can with Levi. She never expected that her boss would be a knight in shining armor, giving life back into her son or making her feel desired and cherished. But her ex husband will prove to do everything he can to make sure they don’t have a future together…
The Hero

Trevor was a hero that I just liked from the very beginning. He makes the best book boyfriend and so swoony, I just fell in love with him from the beginning and he is a cowboy to boot…so I fell for him pretty quickly. He is wonderful with kids, and most especially with Levi. I love how protective and caring he is of Natalie and her boy. I think what impressed me most is seeing the way he cares about others and that he takes action. And yes sometimes its on the edge of the law, but he tries to help those in need.
The Heroine

Natalie once thought that she was in love when she married, but the moment she gave birth to her son Levi, her husband changed into a man she didn’t recognize. And the moment he started to get violent with her son, she left and they divorced and now she is working hard to rebuild her life. To get back her nursing license again, working two jobs, while having to share custody of her son despite the fact that he was abusive and doing her hardest to keep her son happy and upbeat. Natalie was a heroine I really admired, She is put in a terrible situation and I did like seeing her courage and fighting spirit especially when it came to her son.
Plot and Story Line

Claim and Protect is the third book in this latest series by Rhenna Morgan and I can honestly say that these are some of the best books I think this author has written. There is something so unique and wonderful about this brotherhood and I fall in love with this series even more. In this book we have Trevor’s story, whom we don’t really see all that much in the previous two books and boy did I love seeing a deeper side to him. We get some fun interactions between Trevor and other members of the brotherhood, although not as much as I would have liked, but that is alright, since the romance is what blew me away with this book. It doesn’t start out with them straight into a relationship. Its more they slowly ease their way into it, at first its some great chemistry and there is a good connection between Trevor and Natalie’s son Levi. Now Levi was such a charming character, and probably one of my favorite side characters in this series so far. He is the most adorable little boy, especially in his excitement over being a “cowboy” just like Trevor. He has the exuberance of a child, but he also is very wise at times, with what he has gone through with his father makes sense. I did enjoy the way that responds so well to Trevor and wants his mother and Trevor to be together. I felt that the relationship between Trevor and Natalie was smooth and slow, how they slowly get to know each other. It was pretty wonderful to see the way they connected and the truly tender moments. Its what makes this book so powerful, is seeing them working through their issues without even fully realizing it, building trust and intimacy and it was so sweet and endearing yet powerful too.
The Cover

I think this might be my favorite of the covers so far, has a more realistic rustic effect to it, and I like how the sun is shining behind the model, and his EYES….love it and he is exactly how I picture him in the book so it works for me.
Overall View

Claim and Protect is a thrilling and stunning romance, with a swoon worthy hero, a endearing heroine, a little boy that charms your soul, and a romance to make you smile and a story to melt yourself in!!

Trevor was totally my book boyfriend for the week. I fell in love. He is so alpha and so protective; what woman can resist that? The Haven Brotherhood series is quickly becoming one of my favorite series. I've already started rereading this one....it's so good. I like that the author gives a bit of a glimpse as to what is going on with Jace and Vivian and with Zeke and Gabe. I enjoy the continuity. Although it could be read as a stand alone.

I like how Trevor's background factors into the budding relationship with Natalie. All of the Haven Brotherhood series characters have had some sort of trauma or event that shaped who they are presently. I think Natalie's story was tactfully done and to be so fiercely protected by Trevor is exactly what she needed.

The sex scenes are once again panty melting. And worth rereading. It definitely falls into the erotic romance category. Exactly what the publisher promises ;) One of the unique things that sets Trevor's story apart is his growing relationship with Natalie's son, Levi. Levi really needed a good male role model in his life. The relationship is very realistic. From mimicking things Trevor says and does, to throwing a birthday party at his ranch. It's a great secondary story. There is more than one HEA in this story. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a steamy contemporary romance. It's gritty and real...and justice always seems to be served where it needs to.

I am absolutely in love with this author! She gives us some suspense, but she also layers on such complex characters. All of them are full of warmth beneath the hard veneers. The woman have been hurt but are so strong that you just know they will overcome whatever has happened. Love, love love the brotherhood. Fans of MC will enjoy this book even though it is not an MC story. The relationships are similar.

Love a great single parent story and this one is awesome. Trevor is so wonderful with Nat's son. Just made me fall in love with him even more.

Loving this series more with each book. Great to hang with the brotherhood in this one. Such wonderful humor and love among all the guys.

Claim and Protect is book three in the Haven Brotherhood series by Rhenna Morgan. It’s a well known fact that I have a gigantic love for any book involving a sexy cowboy, the sexier the better. And, if they call their woman “darlin’ then I’m completely lost. In this book, you will meet Trevor Raines. He owns a ranch and has punched every one of my cowboy buttons. But at the same time, he is a pub owner, a brother, and every bit dominant alpha male that you can handle. Hands off ladies, he’s mine!

Trevor owns The Den, a bar in Dallas’s Deep Ellum district. Trevor has a past, one he’s not proud of, but when the brother’s found him, he grew up and made himself into a man he could be proud of. The place Trevor calls home is his ranch. He has people to run it for him when he can’t be there but it’s the place that he most loves to be, with his horses and his border collie. Trevor has strict rules for the employees at his bar, one of which is no cell phones while working. So, when he sees his new hire keep sneaking in texts, he knows he needs to deal with it. He hasn’t had her on long and he feels an odd protectiveness towards her. When he learns of the reason she is on her phone, he decides to follow her home to make sure she got home safely. The next move he made is what changed everything.

Natalie Jordan had never been a cocktail waitress before but her new boss took a chance on her and she is determined not to let him down. But on this night, she has to deal with this situation. Natalie’s ex-husband has made it his life’s work to make her existence intolerable. And he’s doing a fine job of it, especially on this night. Natalie has a seven year old son at home, Levi, with her mother and Natalie is their sole supporter. Unfortunately, Levi is caught in the middle between his parents. Natalie’s ex is using him as a pawn to get what he wants, and what he wants isn’t Levi at all, but Natalie.

Natalie has been smitten with Trevor from day one but was determined to remain professional. She needed this job too much. But when Trevor decided to help her out with her situation, their relationship quickly changed. It didn’t take long for the chemistry to get the best of them.

“He’d been wrong. Natalie Jordan wasn’t born for sex. She was born for him.”

Natalie is determined to stay on track with her plan for her future and that future doesn’t include a new relationship. And Trevor doesn’t feel like he could ever be good enough for someone like Natalie. They both are in complete denial of their feelings.

Let me tell you about little seven year old Levi. I fell in love with this boy. He has been through so much, seen so much. And the way he has to endure his father broke my heart. But this little boy was strong and resilient. He has a heart as big as Texas. And he has some huge hero worship for Trevor.

Trevor wasn’t only falling for Natalie but for Levi as well. He never thought of himself as father material. But that little boy had worked himself into Trevor’s heart and soul and there wasn’t a thing he could do about it.

Trevor and Natalie’s chemistry was off the charts hot. What started out as being ’light and easy’ quickly escalated into more. But as their relationship progressed, so did the efforts of her ex-husband. If I have ever hated a character, it would be him. This man was awful. Trevor with the help of his brothers, vows to find a way to get him out of Natalie’s life so she can finally be free of him.

I think I fall in love with this series more with every book. I loved Trevor with all my heart. And the epilogue, there are no words. My eyes watered. Rhenna has again hit the ball out of the park with this book. I couldn’t put it down. It was steamy and sweet and everything in between. The next book will be Knox and Darya’s story, Tempted & Taken, and it can’t get here fast enough. I am loving watching these brothers who think of themselves as eternal bachelors, fall in love, one at a time. You know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

“This was the stuff of legend. The kind of passion few women ever found but every one of them craved.
And it was hers.
His.
Theirs.”

The story was good however I thought the pacing was a little slow. Trevor is a great guy. Supportive of Natalie and Levi. He tries very hard to not be like his father but doubts himself. Natalie made poor choices in her previous relationship. She is being strong in standing up to her ex and keeping her son safe. These two were made for each other.
