'The Seduction of Viscount Vice' by Nicola Davidson is book Three in the "Fallen" series. This is the story of Lord Iain 'Vice' Vissen and Lady Mairi MacNair. I have read the other books but feel this can easily be a standalone book.
Mairi and Vice have met about 10 years ago when they were both young and innocent. Mairi was trying to get out of a marriage and ended up using Vice. Vice and Mairi did 'enjoy' each other but then Mairi disappeared. Vice was told that she had died and it had broken his heart. Now in the present day Mairi is working to become a leading lady instead of a behind the scene seamstress. To do so she is trying to spy of the Fallen Club to get information for the new club her boss is wanting to open.
But Vice catches her spying on his club and he is shocked to find she is alive and well. Which now opens him up to getting back at her for tricking him all those years ago...not to mention stop her from spying.
This was a really HOT romance and a great second chance at LOVE!

Book 3 in the Fallen series see Vice in the company of the one woman he loved but thought dead and whose treachery just may bring the club down.

Mairi is back in England with her employer who is starting a new business, to help with the success she has to spy on Fallen and learn its secrets so they can gain the advantage, she doesn't realise that Vice is one of the owners and that even now after 10 years her feelings are still the same, but she has a debt to pay with her employer and dreams to fulfil and can't let sentiment get in the way, but there is also trickery afoot.

I love Vice and his brusque Scottishness and Mairi's naivety, I couldn't put this down, just like the other two books in the series.

I voluntarily received an advanced readers copy from Netgalley and chose to leave my opinion.

Nicola Davidson has done it again. I seriously can't get enough of the Fallen series. I have a feeling this may be the last one but maybe she'll give us a story about Vice's sister Helena?? Anyway, I loved this novella. Davidson is a master at developing lovable characters and an engrossing plot in such a short story. The heat level in this book and all the others in the Fallen series is scorching hot and the chemistry between the characters is instantaneous. If you're looking for a quick, highly satisfying read Mairi and Vice do not disappoint in The Seduction of Viscount Vice. Funny and sexy, what more could you want?!

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

This is an honest review in return for this ARC. Devil, Sin and Vice, who would not love this group? Hedonism at it's very best! Great characters and story line. This is the third in this series and I have all of them. Fantastic reading.

He though she was dead and gone from him forever, but here she is alive and sexy as ever. the third installment of the racy regency fallen series, the seduction of viscount vice, turns its lens on the third co-owner of london's most wicked and most celebrated, house of sinful pleasures. it all starts when iain vissen discovers mairi macnair has infiltrated his staff, he is beyond stunned. he'd been told she was dead. he'd loved her. she broke his heart.

mairi is equally horrified to have come face-to-face with a man she had used pretty callously. she knew he loved her, but she was about to be forced into an engagement that she couldn't tolerate, and so she staged a scene that would result in her banishment from polite society. making love with iain on that wild scottish moor had been eye-opening. she'd learned what she desired most of all was to have sex while on display. a kind of exhibitionism that was frowned upon by society in general.

and she's not really had a chance to enjoy her desires freely. since escaping to the continent she's been serving as an unpaid maid and seamstress to yvette, the spoiled and lazy frenchwoman who is planning to open a club to rival fallen. and who has promised mairi a starring role in their opening production.

for some reason, mairi is too grateful and too blind to see how this woman is taking advantage of her and clearly has no plans to allow mairi to be anything but a seamstress. this is somewhat frustrating because mairi is strong and independent and capable pretty much in every other aspect of her life. she is a worthy adversary to iain. she keeps him on his toes. and the chemistry between them is explosive. and when they realize that they actually share the same kink? well, it's kind of unstoppable.

the plot here gets short shrift because of the short format, everything seems to spiral out and then back into submission rather quickly. but it's kind of nice because in the end, the kinky owners of fallen all find their perfect matches, and london society as always enjoys the scandal.

Publisher's Description:

Born an earl’s daughter but now a seamstress, Mairi has returned to London to help open a superior pleasure club to Fallen, and finally realize her dream of being the seductive leading lady. But when she discovers her main rival is Iain, the man she loved beyond reason and was forced to abandon, she is soon caught in a web of lies, secrets, and raw, scorching passion that time hasn’t dimmed…

**Please note, this is an Erotic Regency Historical Fiction**

My Thoughts:

This is a very erotic novella.
This is the third time I have read anything by this author. I don't read very much erotica due to the explicit nature of the content but found this a well written and stimulating read even though I did not care for the language at times.

It was not lengthy but was just long enough so that the language did not totally offend me. Some readers, however would find the language and situations offensive. This novella is not for everyone.
I gave this tale a 3.75 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and 5 of 5 flames for heat. This is after all an erotic tale.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley to read.
This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I have voluntarily reviewed.

A very quick and sinful read. Even though it was a short story the characters had plenty of depth. Two people who find their love for each other has survived a separation that had painful memories for them both.

Lord Iain 'Vice' Vissen is a proud Scot and Fallen co-owner, he’s also dedicated to performing in and producing the pleasure club's hedonistic shows & has an eye for every little detail. One night the apple tarts aren’t where they should be & he apprehends a rogue footman only to discover the spy is Lady Mairi MacNair, the woman who ten years ago broke his heart.
Born an earl's daughter but now a seamstress, Mairi has returned to London to help open Worldly, a superior pleasure club to Fallen, and finally realize her dream of being the seductive leading lady. Then she discovers her main rival is Iain, the man she loved beyond reason and was forced to abandon, she is soon caught in a web of lies, secrets, and raw, scorching passion that time hasn't dimmed.
A quick very well paced book which I read in one sitting. My only quibble is that I’d have liked for it to be longer. The characters are well portrayed & have depth that many 100 page novels don’t achieve. This is the third in the series but could be a standalone book, but if like me you love series then I’d recommend reading the series in order, you won’t be disappointed. Vice & Mairi’s attraction is SO hot & both thought time had diminished it but they were so wrong. A very good story of second chances.

The Seduction Of Viscount Vice by Nicola Davidson is a fabulous read. This is a well-written, short historical romance, a great choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms Davidson has once again had me glued to my kindle. Vice and Mairi's story is loaded with humor, drama and sizzle. The characters in this book are perfect for this story and simply amazing. I don't usually give a book of this length a five star rating but I loved this one so much I must. I enjoyed The Seduction Of Viscount Vice and look forward to reading more from Nicola Davidson in the future. The Seduction Of Viscount Vice is book 3 of the Fallen Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book that I received from NetGalley.

A quick, fun, deliciously sexy story featuring Viscount Vice (Iain) and Mairi (his long lost love). I love second chance stories. Great characters and fun scenes and the cover, gorgeous and it is exactly how I pictured Vice.

If you want a series of short, sexy stories, read all of the Fallen books. You will not be disappointed. I hope there is at least one more story…hint, hint.

The Seduction of Viscount Vice was a quick, yet sexy and sinful read. I was honestly surprised by just how naughty this book was for a historical romance. I thought the characters were interesting and their history had me intrigued. I enjoyed the push and pull between our two main characters and couldn't wait to discover what had happened in the past to lead Mairi away from Vice.

For a novella, I think this story packed a lot of punch. I loved the secrets and lies. I loved the chemistry and romance. I loved all the sexy good times. If you're looking for a quick and totally sexy historical read to get lost in for a few hours, I'd definitely recommend checking this one out. This is my first book by this author and I would definitely be open to reading more from her in the future.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. This is a well written and highly erotic love story. Iain and Mairi's love endured a 10 year separation when she leave England to escape an arranged marriage. There were obstacles they had to overcome but finally came together. I would recommend this book along with the previous Fallen books. They will not disappoint.
