Book 3 of this series and it was just as good as the others before it. I am so looking forward to reading more from Ana and this series.
I really enjoy my PNR books; new to me author Ana Lee Kennedy's book did not disappoint me. This was a good story with solid characters, a great storyline with shifters and ghosts. I loved the heroine Persephone aka Seph, she is brave, smart, and has secrets she does not fully understand. Jack hired her team of WHO (Weird, Hidden and the Occult) to help him with his problem, a ghost problem. I liked Jack’s character as well and felt they made a great team. This book was a great introduction to this author and series. I felt even though this is the third book in this series it could be read as a standalone, I look forward to reading more from this author and in this series. If you like PNR with mystery and some sexy love scenes you should give this book a try!
***I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for an honest review via NetGalley, this is my honest opinion and has not been influenced by the author, Publishers or NetGalley in anyway.*** Thank you!
This was interesting. I'm still not sure if I liked it. The two main characters didn't connect to me. Yeah, they meshed physically but not emotionally. And the supernatural ghost aspect seemed like a throw in. What could've been so much better left me feeling empty. And the main characters didn't seem to be the authors focus. Previous characters drama were placed as more interesting than the main H/h.
This book would be considered erotic. It had some graphic sexual scenes (it was marketed as erotic/paranormal). The plot was really good. It starts out well and draws the reader in right from go. Persephone is hiding her own secrets while trying to help her paranormal team solve the reasons why their clients are having problems in their own homes. She is new on the team and took the job to pay the bills. With no sleep and long hours on the road with the team, Persephone was not expecting Jack and his Motorcycle club. Jack is dealing with a crazy ex-girlfriend, a house that is trying to kill him, and putting in long hours at his job trying to make ends meet. He is part of a community that has a secret all their own. When Jack and Sep finally figure things out together, things really get hot and heavy and the truths, most of them at least, come to light. Since Seph is adopted, the book ends with her wondering about her real parents and what they were hiding and why.
This was my introduction to this author and to this series! I loved it! I laughed and giggled. It was so fun. I want to go back and read the first 2 books in the series and see what I missed. But this book felt like it could be a stand alone. I didn't feel like I was missing much because the author gave me the information in ways that made it a joy to read without bombing me with detail.
This book had a couple twists! And I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
Persephone recently started working for a paranormal agency. Their next case takes them to a possessed house in Ohio, where she meets the owner, Jack.
The premise of this story sounded really good, so I was looking forward to reading it. It started out decent, then the inconsistencies began. A character would state one thing in one section and then in the next chapter it would be totally changed around. When the author references the closest city to where the story takes place, it’s evident they don’t actually know the layout of Ohio (considering I live in Ohio this was particularly irritating). The final straw for me was having the biker wear cowboy boots instead of what bikers are known to wear (I would assume this is because the story is in Ohio).
I received this book for NetGalley all opinions expressed are my own. This book is almond the lines of a paranormal romance mystery the hero has a haunted home and he needs help finding out what's going on. The WHO team shows up and Jack is immediately drawn to Shep. Shep can feel something in Jacks house so while everyone else is resting she explores. Jack noticing that she is missing looks for her and that's when they have their first encounter they are possessed. As the book moves on not only is Jack being haunted but it seems he is also bring targeted. The book is well written full of adventure and worth reading again.
