This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

RESILIENT - Gillian Archer

#3 in the True Brother MC romance series

HOT! - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - After having discouraged her friends from hooking up with bikers, Nicole now finds herself attracted to Tank, one of the True Brothers MC, despite her better judgment. And her previously-hidden biker-related past is now revealed, which explains a lot.

Writing - 4 stars - I'm a fan of Archer's writing. With this book, of course, I'm already comfortable with this series and the characters, so it was easy to slip back into the True Brothers world. But Archer can always capture my attention with her smooth writing and easy-to-like characters.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This is where the story shone for me. Tank is an awesome hero. He's tall, dark, gorgeous, and alpha (but not over-the-top alpha), but he's also got a past and shows his vulnerabilities. He's intelligent, but since he's the strong, silent type, it's hard to get to know him. But when he's with Nicole, he starts to loosen up and let himself be open to her. Nicole, for her part, is also tightly-wound and hiding behind mental walls. She's been ashamed of her childhood and family for so long that it's hard for her to let go. But with Tank she feels safe and allows herself to really feel. I was definitely rooting for their relationship to be a success, both because of their similarities as well as their differences.

Title - 4 stars - This follows the theme of the series, with one-word titles starting with R. Both Tank and Nicole could be considered resilient after overcoming problems in their past, tough upbringing, and still coming out as well-rounded people looking for a future.

Cover - 3.5 stars - Nothing wrong with some tattooed male muscles on a sexy motorcycle. Pretty typical of this genre, but not bad to look at.

Overall - 4 stars - Very enjoyable continuation of this series. It was fun to revisit with characters from previous books and to once again immerse myself into the MC world. I was happy that the Club leadership was being a lot more cautious with their revenge plans rather than going off half-cocked, although I'm not sure how realistic that is. And the violence and heavy-duty sex within each book is expected and still hasn't become routine to me. I look forward to the next book in this series.

The minute Tank-Shawn- saw Natalie he knew he wanted to sleep with her. Anything more was for people who still had hope left inside them. But that’s not for Tank. Afghanistan had killed him even though he still walked around and looked alive, he was dead inside. So he had sex with women than left them. He only played with woman who knew the score. He made sure they all knew what to expect from him. Tank was a member of the True Brothers MC. They were at the hospital , bikers on one side and jessica’s family and friends on the other and the hot chick. She would be going out of her mind that Jessica had been shot. One year later- Right now Tank was babysitting the Prez’s- Zags- old lady- Jessica- and her hot friend as they ran errands all over Reno.Tank had been keeping an eye on Natalie since the first time he seen her at the hospital.Jessica and Nicole had been best friends for thirteen years when Debbie had moved herself and kids to Reno when they were in Middle School, Jessica and Emily were the two constant people in Nicole’s life. Jessica and Tag were getting married in a week and they had a three month old daughter. The club had gone through alot over the last year, It wasn’t easy tolet Jessica go in the bridal shop alone before he had checked it out. Jessica had been shot by a former and now dead member of their own club. Just a week ago Natalie’s other best friend had been held hostage and tortured by their rival MC. It wasn’t hard to see Nicole didn’t like bikers even though she put on a good front. Tank never planned on getting married but if he did it would never be like Jess and Tag’s wedding. Justice Of The Peace or County Clerk. Stitch realized Tank liked a ‘good girl’. Stitch was like a father to Tank. He had sponsored Tank with the club. They had become friends after Tank got out of the Marines and he had hung out in the roughest bars Tank could find. He needed to vent all the rage and stress he’d been keeping pent up inside him.Than he noticed a bunch of Saddle Tramps cornering a lone guy in an alley. Tank jumped into the fight to even the odds. Stitch bought Tank a round as a thank you. A few drinks later Stitch had talked him into prospecting for the True Brothers MC. Nicole went up to Tank and asked him if he wanted to leave.Than she said it was a one time deal and Tank agreed. When Tank kissed Nicole he felt a bolt of electricity go through him. It had been a decade since Nicole had rode on the back of a bike. Every part of Nicole that touched Tank felt electrified as he carried Nicole to her bedroom.
This was an excellent book and I loved it and didn’t want to put this down. I read it every time I had the chance until it was done. I chuckled at times while reading this and choked up with a tear or two escaping my eyes at other times. I loved Nicole and Tank together and how they interacted with each other. I didn’t particularly care for Tank’s sister as she was just cruel and mean when she met Nicole for the first time at Tanks. I loved how the MC was family to each other and were good guys for the most part. I loved how close Nicole was to Emily and Jessica and than Brittany. I loved the plot and pace. I loved the characters and ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

Each book in the True Brothers MC is better than the last. I really enjoyed Jessica and Tank’s story. Glad we finally learned why Jessica did not like bikers. Looking forward to Rough Ride!

Resilient is the third novel in the True Brothers MC series, one I've been following from the beginning, and just like the first two novels in the series, it gets a 5-star rating from this reader.

The two major characters in this novel are Nicole and Tank, and as the novel opens, they are both accompanying and running pre-wedding errands for Jessica and Zag, another biker couple we met in the first novel, whose wedding is one week away. Nicole has made no secret of the fact that she doesn't like bikers, even though Jessica is the second of her friends to marry one of the True Brothers.

Tank has kept his instant attraction to Nicole to himself--it started from the moment he first saw her. She's snarky (I love snarky women), smart, sassy, feisty and sexy, but what Nicole has kept to herself is her reason for disliking bikers--her abusive father, who has been incarcerated for manslaughter for the last 15 years, and who was also MC member. Although he never hit her, he certainly battered her her mother, and verbally abused and threatened Nicole.

There'a another problem, Tank doesn't do relationships. He's already been married and divorced once. He's now a one-and-done kind of guy for another reason he's kept to himself--his four tours in Afghanistan which resulted a severe case of PTSD, and fearing that one of his violent nightmares might result in his actually and inadvertently injuring a bed partner, he doesn't spend the night either. But all of that changes when he and Nicole agree to act on their mutual attraction and have a one-nighter that begins to change everything for both of them, and it quickly becomes a two-nighter, and then...well, I guess you'll have to read this novel to find out.

Of course, there's more to this novel than just the romance, there are rival MCs, vandalism, arson, verbal abuse, and physical violence ending in murder, as well as some seriously hot sex, so if any of the aforementioned are triggers for you, this might not be the novel for you.

What this novel doesn't have, thankfully, are descriptions of the skanky women who'll hang around the clubhouse and do anything any of the club members want at any time and in public. What sets Ms. Archer's series apart from many of the less well-written MC romances out there is that she gives her characters believable backstories letting us see what motivates their behavior, and she doesn't dwell on the wild parties, heavy drinking and drug use many less talented novelists include as part of their stories. What also sets this series apart is that the True Brothers really are a brotherhood--the members aren't just angry, disgruntled misfits, they actually care abut one another. The True Brothers MC has a number of businesses, but they aren't whoremongers, pimps, gun runners or drug dealers. Each member of the MC I've encountered in these three novels can certainly curse up a storm, as can their women, but they also have such qualities as kindness, fairness, and an admirable love of family, both their own and also of the other club members.

These novels are filled with secondary characters you want to know more about, they are fast-paced and emotional reads, and these are some of the reasons why I eagerly anticipate each and every the upcoming novel in this series.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

3.5 stars - received copy for review
I enjoyed all the books in the series so far. Tank and Nicole had amazing chemistry and stubborn streak a mile wide. They both had commitment issues and fought against any relationship. They went from one and done to two an shoo to sexy texting. Before you know it they are in a relationship. Yet it still is not easy. Nicole has major secrets and when it finally catches up to them it leaves devastation. The devastation caused the book to lost a 1/2 point for me. I saw it coming but wanted a different outcome. Also Nicole's reaction weakened her in my eyes. It caused a few tears. Overall the story was solid. Great characters and good plot. I am looking forward to reading more books in the series.

This is the third book in the series and it is dealing with Nicole. While they are getting ready for the wedding from the characters in the first book. Nichole is dealing with issues that she has with the biker club, because her dad was or still is a 1% and is doing time for manslaughter. Because of that the family had to move. The problem is that she has never told her two best friends. Now Tank is attracted to Nicole but knows he cannot be with her because he is damaged. After his fourth tour he came back broken and is still having problems. Along with his mother, and his sister and her no good husband he does not see any good. After spending a day with Nicole with errands for the wedding he sees her much differently. After a night of partying they decide to do a one night stand. Of course after that first time there is a second time and then they begin to get to know each other and he wants to get to know her but does not know why she is holding back. When business associated with the club start being attacked the club starts to search for a reason and then Nicole’s mother has her come over and in walks the one person she never thought she would see again her father. This does not go well. Now Tank can’t get a hold of her and with the problems with the club she starts to think that the club thinks that they are blaming her. Read this book to see what happens. The bedroom scenes between these two are intense. Each also have their own PTSD issues as well. The characters are good as well as the story.

Ms. Archer has a knack for writing a MC series. Tank is now my all time favorite! I liked how her stories don't need to add in the stereotypical drama of a biker book.

After reading this book, I also want to have a biker boyfriend though I'm quite scared riding motor bicycles. Hihi...

Nicole and Tank are both 'broken' characters who need to deal something from their past lives. They both struggle on working out their 'real' relationship, along understanding each others past and weaknesses.

Aside from the very hot lovemaking scenes, I'm so happy that Nicole and Tank come out victorious on dealing their problems in their life for the sake of finding love.

In "Resilient" there is tragedy, loss, strong characters, and finally love for the Tank and Nicole. Tank is one hot sexy biker and has the patience of a saint when it comes to Nicole. She on the other hand, has her reasons for hating anything MC. The story is told in a way that puts the reader right there with both the H and h. It is in depth and has a thoroughness in the revealing of Nicole's story and her dislike of bikers. She finds herself at odds with that dislike when she draws closer to Tank on every level. Both Tank and Nicole have baggage, and it was a fun and wild ride to discover their vices. The beauty of this story is how they can heal each other and still be who they are. There is a part of the book in the last few chapters that had me in tears. The author gives the tragedy such a great insight to the brotherhood of core characters and how they come to grips with it. Even if you have not read any of the other books in the series, this one is a standalone and one you won't want to pass it up. The sex was hot, the women sassy, the men OMG strong, and connections cementing all the MC men and women. What a great HEA for Tank and Nicole. Start anywhere in the series, but you will want to read any that you may have missed. I would like to thank NetGalley and Loveswept for gifting me "Resilient". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 5 Stars!

Nicole can’t stand bikers. It is not that she doesn’t like them but she hates them.
Tank is a biker and the True Brothers MC is his family and his way of life.
Once again we can see how you can create a family with people that are not related to you, just out of friendship. I liked how the Brothers treat each other, teasing and joking about their relationships with their old ladies.
There is a part in the book that shocked me. I cried a lot as I felt the pain in my heart. I’m not sure of seeing the point of view of the author about that part but of course, it was her decision as it is her novel.
I would have liked to know more about Tank background.
I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy given to me by NetGalley.

It's my first book of the series and my first by this author as well and I LIKED IT a lot.
Resilient is a biker story and I've read some of them so I thought the drama would be big but no, it was okay.

What I loved : Tank, Brittany and Stitch! Awesome characters. The chemistry between Tank and Nicole was great. Their story was sweet and sexy.
What I liked : Nicole was okay. I liked her and her interactions with the three above characters. HATED her with everyone else.
What I hated : Jessica. I didn't read the previous books so I don't know much about her. But, what a friend ?! Okay, I get she was supposed to be a bridezilla but her attitude was too excessive for me. And I didn't like Emily as well. I felt like they were too mean to Nicole, I didn't get the whole thing. Again, maybe because I didn't read the other books.

I loved, loved, loved the end. So full of emotion. Seriously, I almost cried. Okay, maybe I did...

I recommend!

Resilient is a sexy, low angst MC romance. It's not as gritty and over the top violent as some MCs that I've read, and I appreciated that. It's more about the romance between Nicole and Tank. Tank is a member of True Brothers MC who's been tasked with driving around Jessica, the fiancée of one of Tank's brothers in the MC, and her friend, Nicole, for wedding errands. It's during this time that the reader sees sparks fly between them and a peek into what's to come for them.

Tank is a badass alpha kind of guy with a heart of gold. He has PTSD from his deployment while in the military over ten years earlier, and he's got the scars to go with that PTSD. Nicole hasn't had an easy life, either, and she's scarred, too. Only on the outside she looks like a sweet, middle class girl destined for a white picket fence kinda life. Or at least that's Tank's perception of her at first. But, when they get together for one night of steam between the sheets, the fire between them cannot simply be extinguished in one night, and soon one night turns to "two then shoo" then three, then four...until finally they're in a relationship neither ever saw coming.

But Nicole has a secret from her past that she hasn't told anyone, not her friend Jessica, not Tank, not anyone, and it could seriously affect her relationship with Tank, with his entire MC. It comes back to haunt her toward the end and she's afraid that the whole club blames her for the tragedy that happens. Can she and Tank make their fledgling relationship work when she's to blame for what happened to one of their brothers? Can Nicole ever forgive herself?

I really liked Resilient, most especially because of Tank and his mentor, Stitch. I didn't end up liking Nicole very much. Yes, she had a problem with bikers because of her past, but she was way, way too judgmental and b***** about it and let it affect not just her relationships with her friends who were with bikers, but with Tank himself. Tank, though, God that man is divine! Sexy, tough, alpha badass with a huge heart who had thought his heart was dead until a spitfire walked into his life. He was more than patient with Nicole, but didn't let her walk all over him, either. Strong, sexy and sweet, the perfect kind of hero. I'm pretty upset about what happened to one of Tank's brothers, but I have to hope that the person affected most by it will have their own story coming.

I don't normally go for MC romances, but I will definitely check out more from Gillian Archer's True Brothers series.

This was an interesting twist on the dislike-turning-into-major-like trope. Nicole seemed extreme in her view on bikers, and there were a few interesting twists in the plot relating to her backstory. Overall, an enjoyable read.

Book three in the True Brothers series, this one is Tank's book. He's a Desert Storm vet with PTSD. Tank has been a one-and-done kind of guy since joining the True Brothers. He isn't looking for anything long-term after his horrible divorce. Nicole is Jessica's friend and bridesmaid and she doesn't "do" bikers. In fact, she loathes them and has tried to talk her friends out of being with the other True Brothers. Being there for Jessica is priority though and Nicole has to suck up her disdain and do her friendship duties. Doesn't hurt that Tank is pretty darn nice to look at and fun to goad. We don’t know why Nicole is averse to bikers until things become clear when her one-percenter dad is released from prison.

Tank and Nicole progress nicely without too many starts and stops. I really fell for Tank and enjoyed his character. Written really well with moments of tenderness but all around badassery, he's a great alpha male. Nicole had good sass and backbone and was a well written interest for a man like Tank. I'm invested in this club and look forward to the next book! Solid 4-star read.

As the True Brothers MC gets ready for Zag and Jessica's wedding, Nicole Walker is trying hard to accept her BFF's new life as the wife of a biker. While she hasn't told anyone about growing up with a father that was a biker who was sent to prison for murder, Nicole doesn't want to end up like her mother did by giving into a biker for even one night.

Tank is the one biker not looking for more than one night. After his tours in the Marines, his own marriage that didn't last, and watching his sister put up with a deadbeat husband, Tank knows that he is not relationship material.

So Tank and Nicole give in to one night because the chemistry between them is just too strong to ignore. And since Tank is easy on the eyes, one night turns into two and they can't seem to stay away from each other.

What happens when the club has trouble and they think it might be a rival club or mafia? Will Tank and Nicole keep things going and make a relationship work? What happens when Nicole's father shows back up?

I love this series and I hope there will be more. It is filled with love, laughter, heartache, heartbreak, and suspense. If you are looking for a great MC series that will have you wanting more, then give this one a read, you will love it too.

I really enjoyed this MC romance – I'd definitely consider it in the more "tame" side as far as MC books go, so if you're looking for a lighter motorcycle read, this one is for you!

Nicole comes from a past that she's tried to keep hidden from everyone. She's very judgmental when it comes to her friends’ relationships with their "MC men" as she absolutely hates motorcycle clubs and wants nothing to do with them. One of her friends is marrying a biker though and Nicole is having trouble sticking to her disdain when the gorgeous Tank is assigned to be the girls’ "detail." Neither Tank nor Nicole is interested in anything long term and decide a one-night stand would be perfect... except it's not enough.

My absolute least favorite part of this book was Nicole's "friends." They were absolute A-holes and I am still upset with how mean/nasty they are to Nicole throughout this book, like I really was waiting for Nicole to fire back and kick them to the curb, but it doesn't happen. It's the sole reason I'm giving a 4 instead of 5-star rating.

I liked this book well enough, but hoped to like it more. The heroine left something to be desired. I posted a review on Goodreads.

Resilient is the third title in the True Brothers MC series. I have personally only read one of the previous titles in this series, but actually found this title to be more engaging.

Resilient is Tank and Nicole's story. This pair of characters are complex, damaged, realistic and like-able. Tank is a bad-ass, alpha, a strong take charge character, who has a soft caring side. Nicole on the other hand had a tendency to frustrate me at times, with her judgmental nature, but I did like her sassy personality.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the build up of sexual tension, and banter, and the evolving relationship and connection of this pair. The story is well written, and well paced and has an element of drama and emotion, that I wasn't expecting and had me close to tears. I will be looking forward to reading more of Gillian Archer's work in the future.
