I always love the dino books. This one was especially fun because I enjoy dancing. Kids will not be disappointed!
I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa this spring when she visited our school as a part of the Michigan Reads program. I was familiar with her work previously, all of my students LOVE her Dino series! I really like this one especially because it includes so many different varieties of dance, meaning that this book will appeal to both boys and girls. I will definitely be adding this book to my libraries! Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC!
A delightful story about dinosaurs dancing. The tempo of this book is fantastic with smooth rhyming that is fun to read aloud. The bright, bold colors of the dinosaurs and their dance outfits make it a standout with young readers. I love that the names of many different dinosaurs beyond the usual T-Rex and Triceratops are used throughout the story. A great read for young school-age children!
Audience: Young children

Review: Told in rhyme, this book is a fun way to learn dinosaur names as well as various dance types! Kids will get a kick out of seeing the dinosaurs bust a move.
Read aloud rating: 7 - With it's fun rhymes, this book lends itself to being read out loud
Once again, Lisa Wheeler has given us a winner. This fun energetic book has the reader feeling part of the audience. Lots of dances and dancing terms throughout. It would great book to be made into a video so all the dances can be visualized.
This series of books is so much fun. I never would have guessed that it is as popular as it has become. This time they take on a dance competition. All moves are allowed, some good, some bad, and some scary. A great addition to the series, plus they give us a sneak peak at the next book in the series: Dino-Christmas.

Combining the proper names for dinosaurs and for dances, this book offers vocabulary development and a silly story that will delight dinosaur fans and kids who see their parents watching shows like "Dancing with the Stars."
This is the newest edition in the Dino-Sports series. Dino-Dancing is a cute rhyming book that tells the tale of a prehistoric dance competition reminding the reader of "Dancing with the Stars". See all kinds of dancing from ballet, swing, hiphop and more. Great costumes and the opportunity to explore various kinds of music can make this a useful book for a primary music class or physical education class where students can explore different types of music as well as various types of dance. The story is told in rhyme which makes it easy to read and fun to listen to. The illustrations are amazing. Lots of colour and expression. The dinosaurs are cartoon like, so they are not scary for the little ones. A cute series for young readers, especially those that love dinosaurs.
This series is extremely popular in my elementary library, especially with boys. I plan to purchase any additions to the Dino series, including this one. I think this one may even draw in the girls.
