I think Fall Colors by Mari Schuh is a winner for toddlers and preschoolers! I absolutely love the beautiful colorful photographs. The text is appropriate for young learners and is interactive as well. The nonfiction features, including index, references and glossary, make me so excited to share with my preschool science students - they are old enough to start to notice the bold words and answer the questions that lead to new questions and understand what is fact and what is pretend. The icing on the cake is the included links to the activities referenced in the book. I hope this is part of a series because I would adopt all four books in my curriculum. 6
Thank you to the publisher, author, and Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book. Looking forward to getting a paper copy for my room!
Bright vibrant photos paired with facts make this a fun fall read.
Fall Colors: Crayola is a fascinating and informative book written by Mari Schuh.
While focusing on the autumn season, this book includes lovely full-color photographs, activity suggestions, and interactive sections. It's divided into the following chapters: Leaves in Fall, Preparing for Winter, Fall on the Farm, and Fall Fun, as well as World of Color and Glossary.
Fall Colors is a delightful twenty-eight page book that's geared towards young readers.
Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This was a fun mix of art book, and color theory for little kids. I will be adding this to my collection.

Brilliant palette of colors that children will associate with fall! The photography and graphics are vivid and sure to capture the attention of littles.
Crayola Fall Colors was absolutely delightful! The pictures were beautiful and as I think in terms of Crayola when I think of color anyway, it was perfect for me to review! I wish I had had this book when my kids were little but will purchase a copy for the (FAR) future grandkids and in September when it is published I will recommend it to the area preschools and daycares...I think I have found the new go to book gift for friends baby showers!
I read this with my grandson and he really enjoyed it. He liked talking about the colours and seeing some of the fall activities. We talked about what he does outside when the leaves are falling. This would be a great book to use in a primary classroom when discussing the seasons as well as integrating it into a visual arts lesson about colours. Great illustrations and simple text that would be easy for beginning readers to enjoy.
