Unfortunately I didn't finish this book, as I couldn't get into it - nothing against the author or book, just not to my personal taste. Thank you for the opportunity to read it.
I would like to thank the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Perdition is a simple story with relatable themes.
There were many parts of this book that I enjoyed. I love the fact that none of the characters were perfect as it just made it easier to connect with characters.
There were bits that I didn't enjoy as much and that I thought could have developed more as it made it a bit cliche but it still made it a cutesy romance.
There was a a omg moment at the end of the book that I did not see coming.A beautiful ending but not what you would expect.
In many ways, Perdition is a book about learning how to be yourself and how to find your way in the world. It's also about first love and learning how to trust.
There are many things that are admirable about this novel. Michaela's journey is one worth telling, and Levi is a sweet, trusting, and patient LI. This is definitely a sappy love story, and I think the readers will fall in love as quickly as they do. Michaela and Levi hit it off immediately and Levi is great because he likes Michaela just as she is.
Unfortunately, this one just wasn't for me. There were some plot points that were hard to overlook. I was also disappointed with the last quarter or so of the book and the ending was unsatisfying.
Post will go live July 11.
I fell in love with Levi. The romance between Michaela and Levi nearly felt tangible. However, the story line was a downfall. It didn't seem realistic - how a small town could just shun someone so easily. But maybe it is and I am just a bit naive.
Yer this wasn't my cup of tea. Had some potential, but overall, had a lot of problems with it.
My Thoughts:
Disclaimer: I did not like this book at all and it was not for me. That being said it would good for someone who love young adult romance. I could not get into the book at all and wish I could have. The main character was annoying to me and made me not want to read the book. The plot was full of high school drama that was hard to read at times. I will keep the rest of the review short and not opinionated.
Plot:
The plot was what sold me on the book and for the most part was good. The book starts off with the main character and her family moving to a small town. There are reasons for the move that get revealed as the book goes on. Those reasons kept me invested in the book and I had to know what happened. The plot twists were interesting and explained the reasons why she acted the way she did. The romance part of the plot I felt was okay and needed more.
Characters:
Michealla was hard to like and that helped the story develop. The author wrote her that way for a reason. I did not at all like her mom she was mean and not great. Levi, the love interest, was cliched and not very interesting as a love interest.

What happens when a former wild child with a troubled past meets a small town preacher's son? Sparks fly. Michaela has just moved with her broken mother and her half brother and sister following the death of her stepdad. Her mother has had a difficult time coping and Michaela has had to push aside her own grief to care for her siblings. Moving to a small town in Georgia maybe her mother's idea of a perfect escape but Michaela can't help but feel like an outsider that everyone is judging. Falling for the town's golden boy, Levi, doesn't help her win the hearts of the townspeople. Levi is struggling too to find his true path in life and to break from the perfect child mold that he has been placed in. He falls hard for Michaela. Readers will be drawn into their story and will relish the laughter, tears, heartbreak, and journey Michaela and Levi make throughout the book. Definitely recommend!
Thanks to Netgalley and respective publisher.

Well, I shouldn't tell you about storyline as it is not yet published.
