My thanks to Ben Sperduto, Curiosity Quills Press, and Netgalley for this preview copy.
I don't think I've been so caught up in an epic-fantasy series like this since Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives. That's saying something. I'm fairly picky about which fantasy books I read, and I love this series! The world building isn't so grand in scope as I usually like, but the people and their different cultures and beliefs are fascinating. This second book was so full of intrigue and action, that I couldn't read it fast enough! People who in the first book, who were loathsome, have become allies and halfway likeable. I still hate them, but now I love to hate them! I don't like that I may have to wait up to a year "or more," for the third part of this trilogy, but one things for sure. I will be here waiting. Yep, I'd recommend this series, and author. Great story.
