Story was slow at first, but once the reader gets to chapter 3 it gets better. The two main characters are both afraid to get involved, each believing they'll get their heart hurt. She thinks of him as a gigolo, going from one woman to the next. He really likes her but wants to keep a promise to her father and brother to not get involved sexually with her. She quit her job one year ago and moved home, her parents want her to move out.. they think she is lazy and does not want to work. Little do they know the true reason she moved home. Our couple move in together and the sparks start flying. The story was very enjoyable.
I was a little disappointed that this didn't take place in Costa Rica. But, it did make sense to move it to Silver Bay for this couple. I loved Logan from the first book and also loved Kat's enthusiasm. They were great together. While I was rooting for them, their clear lack of communication made for unnecessary angst. Kat's independence was a bit over the top at times. Still, it was an enjoyable sequel. I look forward to reading the next book.
Captivating Seduction of Logan
Logan is an Australian charmer who flirts with all the ladies but never takes any relationship seriously as he knows from personal experience that he's only good for fun not for a lifetime. Kat is also a flirt but her confidence has been knocked by an incident the previous year and she doesn't care to live alone. When the two of them find themselves sharing a house, she decides to take her sister's advice and rather than push the hot Australian away, have a torrid fling. However, having promised her father that he will not hurt her, Logan is a tougher nut to crack than she expected. Note: strong language increases in frequency as the story progresses.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
Second of Silver Bay series.
Kat is back in Silver Bay from Coasta Rica and living with her parents. Kat overheard her parents talking about smooching off them, she decided to move out, that moment. But doesn't know where to go and decided to crash with her sisters but they were in Chicago.. Now no one, except Australian hottie, her brother's best friend Logan.
Logan is in Silver Bay for summer to work on Bennett industries community outreach and he living in one of the secluded cottage and he had a spare room he was willing to let Kat crash.
Now they are living together and Kat has another plan in her mind. Logan has been known as "playboy" in Coasta Rica and she avoid him like a plague now he is in Silver Bay for summer, she thinks he is perfect for her summer fling.
Logan was attracted to Kat when she was visiting but he couldn't just have fling with her because he gave his words to Kat's father and she is his best friend's sister. That's not going to stop Kat for pursuing him.
Kat left everything in D.C. to be in Silver Bay and nobody knows why. She has own secret from everyone. She has been helping many elderly for weeks but that sounded more like disappointment to her parents. So she is trying to balance working at her sister's cafe and help out elderly.
As the time progresses, Logan gives up on his will to hold off Kat and they dive in. But nothing is as it seems. It becomes more than just a fling to both of them. Both enjoy everything outside of bedroom as well. Kat finally opens up to Logan but Logan is still holding on to his secret.
Logan's time is coming to an end and Kat has a surprise for both of them.
They were happy when they were "crashing" at the cottage but what will happen after their time comes to an end. Kat wants more from Logan and Logan feels he can't give everything to her... Can they have their Happily ever after???
I loved quick and sharp tongue Kat and lay back Logan. Their banters were great and both were passionate and loving. I think I enjoyed this book just a bit more than the first one. It quick and fun read. Perfect for summer. After reading about two Bennett's I would like to know more about all the siblings in Bennett family.
Crashing Together was such a light, fun read and I absolutely loved it! Kat is a somewhat quirky young woman that has been sort of lost professionally over the past year and walks into her parents’ house one evening to find out they are kicking her out. Her day had already been miserable getting a flat tire and having the sexy but aggravating Logan pull up to help. With nowhere else to go, Kat finds herself accepting Logan’s offer for her to crash at the beach house with him for the summer until he leaves. Very quickly Logan and Kat really get to know each other and then question if they can just be friends.
Kat and Logan were both beautiful, sexy, smart, and hilarious. Although they initially seemed to only be interested in getting on each other’s nerves, I quickly found myself rooting for them. Kat tries to rationalize that she only wants a summer fling, thinking Logan is a huge player that sleeps with different women all the time. Logan is trying to fight his attraction to Kat because he knows he’ll only be in Silver Bay for a few months and he also avoids relationships after a heartbreak in the past. Both of these characters are so incredibly stubborn I literally wanted to smack some sense into them at times, but their stubbornness also added to the suspense of their relationship.
Crashing Together is sweet, romantic, funny, and sad – but all in wonderful ways. Amelia Judd takes the readers on a fast-paced and entertaining journey while slowly peeling back the layers of Kat and Logan. I did not read the first in The Silver Bay series but it wasn’t necessary, everything still flowed along perfectly. I loved her writing style, character development, and funny outlook on romance and cannot wait to read more from her in the future!

This was a very quick and fun read. Kat and Logan were awesome characters and I particularly loved Kat's wit and quick comebacks to Logan's laid back Aussie attitude. Both had their own pasts to overcome and I loved seeing them exorcise their ghosts from their past. Though this was the second book in the series, it could easily be read as a standalone. I'll probably go back and read book one as Judd's characters were enormously entertaining and she knows how to write a fun light hearted romance.
Crashing Together marched right into my heart and took over. Logan and Kat proved that a person should never be taken at face value. Logan loved to have a good time and be the life of the party but had feelings that ran deep and hurts hidden away from prying eyes. Kat was an independent woman dogged by disappointments and insecurities. Underneath her pride and his womanizing was a bond that needed a chance to grow. Amelia Judd packs a powerful message with some lighthearted style. Wisely heartwarming.
Crashing Together is the second book in the Silver Bay series. I really enjoyed Logan and Kat's story both have their demons but together they just might be able to move forward and find love and happiness with each other. I look forward to seeing who comes next

This was a fun fast paced story! Even though it is nowhere near summertime, this is the kind of book you would want to take with you to a cottage at the beach on a weekend getaway! Nothing to heavy, but a fun romantic story! Very funny at times and just the right amount of sexy times too!
It was fun watching Kat make Logan squirm when he was trying to keep things platonic between them. She has a lively personality that provides some sass to Logan's Aussie laid-back, easygoing style. He was kidding himself if he thought he could resist her!
I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next with Kat's sister, Claire!
