I was a little skeptical at first but this book. Proved me so wrong! It was so good and I loved he story so much I was genuinely sad when i finished it. I want more! Great read!
Once I read the blurb for this, I had to read it. Girl stares out her office window at scantily clad man going by. Sounds like the old Diet Coke commercials...
Anyway, her friend and coworker Vince wants to help her out with getting this guy out on a date. But for a completely self-serving purpose because HE wants Jackie but he wants her to get out and date so she doesn't use him as a rebound.
Vince has always been a great friend to Jackie and here he is offering to help her get the confidence to ask out runner guy. The downside? As she spends more time with Vince, she realizes she wants him and not the runner...
Made me think of a Meg Ryan Rom-Com in a way. Definitely a book I could see made into a movie. And that would definitely be a movie I'd watch!

Cute friends to lovers romance between Jackie and Vince. Jackie has her eyes set on a jogger who jogs by everyday and Vince trying to get out of the friend zone tries to set her up with him to play the hero and swoop in when it doesn't work. It was cute and easy read.
Loved this story about two divorcee who found a second chance at love. Jackie was on a mission to meet her eye candy while Vince wants to be her eye candy. Love the chemistry between the two. Recommended read.
Jackie and Vince are best friends and coworkers, who have both gone through a divorce. Vince secretly likes Jackie and when he suggests that he can help her getting back into dating, he hopes to make her see him in a different light. Vince decides to help Jackie to get the mystery man she ogles from the window. Will Vince achieve her goal and get Jackie to see her more as a friend or push her into another man’s arms?
It was my first book by the author and the first book in the series. I do plan to continue on with the series, because it was a great story to read and I want to know what kind of fun other two books have in store. Both main characters were great and I really liked the friendship they had. All in all it’s a solid start to the series and I’d recommend it to all romance readers.
Gah, who doesn't love a friends-to-lovers romance? I sure do! I loved the interaction between Jackie and Vince. Loved that their friendship progressed to something "more"--even though both were petrified. Romantic comedy at it's finest! Can't wait for more with Davis and Grace.

3.5 stars -
This is a friends to lover book. It was at times cute and at times frustrating. Jackie and Vince are co workers who are also very good friends. They both have been burned by love and are divorced. Unknown to Jackie, Vince has casually moved on but she remains cautious and dateless. Vince would like to date Jackie, but she friend zoned him right after his divorce. Jackie develops a crush on the eye candy that frequently jogs shirtless by her office. This is when it starts to get frustrating. Instead of Vince being honest and telling Jackie about his feelings, he starts playing games and tries to help her date the eye candy, JT. His end game is that Jackie will see him as the better man. Vince was too back and forth. At times it seemed he was further behind Jackie in his divorce recovery. He wanted to be with her and then panicked when they start doing couple things. He sent a lot of mixed signals. Overall the start was kind of cute but again very frustrating.
5 EYE CANDY STARS!! Another fantastic story from Jessica Lemmons, keeps us flipping pages. This book has everything a romance reader looks for.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.
I know I reviewed this previously and for some reason, it doesn't show up. UGGGHHHH!!!! So I'll do it again.
I love Jessica Lemmon's books. I love the characters, the humor and the snarky dialogue. This is another winner and I highly recommend it. Can't wait for the next one.
So much fun and snark in this friends to lover story! Jackie Butler is enamored with the man who runs past her window every morning at the same time. Who is he? What does he do? She knows he lives in her apartment complex and his name from his mailbox but that is all. Vince Carson is the co-VP with Jackie and they have been friends and lately he has been having more than friends feelings. Will his plan to help "coach" Jackie on dating bring them closer or push her to someone else? This story made me laugh and wince for the characters because they were really dumb but that is what happens when you don't talk to each other. I definitely had a great time reading this one and look forward to the next one in this series!

This was a cute and quick read. I love the best friends to lovers trope. I am especially fond of the added bonus of one of them coaching the other on the ways of dating. This is also a work place romance, so there is a lot happening.
The H/H and both divorced and are co-vice presidents of the same company. The hero, Vince has been interested in the heroine, Jackie for a while but once she starts oogling a guy that runs through their work place neighborhood, he decides he needs to move on his interest in her. It's a cute set up and is love triangle-ish for a short period of time. The other guy is never really a threat to their relationship because he is a tool.
Both Jackie and Vince have some lingering issues from their previous relationships that show up in their relationship. They definitely have some work to do. They had some hot sex and good chemistry.
I liked the secondary character of Davis a lot. I look forward to reading his story.
Cute story. It did seem a bit drawn out for my liking, but I did like it. This would be a good weekend read. I am interested to see how this series will continue.
Note, I did receive a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my review.
As a Romance, this one was almost perfect. The characters were great (all of them, even Jack), the chemistry between Jackie and Vince, the fun dialogue, and of course the sex scenes. The one and only thing I absolutely hated but was able to ignore because the rest was so great, was the decision to have Vince go back to "coaching" Jackie after their date. It made no sense to go in that direction at all. Otherwise everything was perfect! I'll definitely check out the authors other books. Her writing is super fun!
This book was laugh out loud funny with a sweet romance and a bit of steam. I loved these characters and hope we get to see more of them in this series!
Jessica Lemmon will never stop getting me hooked in with her stories.! It’s a life fact, like that!
Eye Candy is the gun-start of the new Real Love series. And as the name indicates it’s about stories of true love. Well, duh! But Lemmon’s true love stories are a category of their own. And this one didn’t fall far from the amazingness Lemmon’s tree is. The story goes like this: Vince Carson. Jacqueline Butler. Both VPs in the same company. Both divorsed. Both a best friend to each other. Jacqueline though she has crush on the hot guy who runs by her office window every morning at 11:45 dan! Vince has a crush on Jackie. So, he forms a plan; he will hook her up with that guy so, when he will be proven to be a jerk, he will be waiting with open arms for her to comfort her and put the second part of his “Make Jackie Butler Mine” plan in motion. But as Life has it, the things don’t go as planned.
The chemistry between these two? Only as “slizzing” can be described. And the fact that these two share a similar emotional situation such as a divorce, makes their bonding and the feelings that evolve that much more powerful. Though, when a heart finds her meant-to-be, the only way she moves is forward and towards it. And that’s what happened with Vince and Jackie. Both their hearts recognized its each other in one another which lead to the intense feelings that were flowing throughout the story.
One of the things that grabbed my attention was how both Vince and Jackie was affected from their divorce. Every time they were mentioned, in either case, I could see clearly how much of themselves (the heroes) have taken away, transforming them into two insecure individuals who have built a wall around them so they feel protected. Thank God, Life doesn’t work like that and denied to let me in the state they put themselves in. So, she intervened like she only knows how; making them fall madly in love with each other. Granted, the road wasn’t always – actually most of the time – covered with rose petals and they had to go through some heavy obstacles, created either from the outside or their own self. But, in the end, they succeded to overcome them and get rid or everything that was holding them back so they can have their HEA together.
Two other things that I loved about this book and this couple was first, the sudden humoristic moments that were sprouting in places that I didn’t expect them to be and second, Davis’s story. As for the first, they added an extra layer of amazingness into the story and was one of the things that seemed to bring Vince and Jackie closer and intensify their connection. As for the second, well; when I said that I loved Davis’s story, what I meant, was that I loved the mystery over him since, those who have read the book know that, we don’t really know his real deal. They are some sneak peaks here and there that give you an idea about his past and the reason why he behaves the way he behaves, but, as far as his present and the realtionship with a specific woman is concerned, we are in total black. Which means that it makes it even more intriguing for my bookworm brain to learn ASAP his whole story and finally figure him out.
Since day 1, Jessica Lemmon captured my heart with her stories and made me a lifelong fan of hers. There is no book after Fighting for Devlin that I have missed. Her books have become a no-brainer for me. If you haven’t tried them yet, then GO!! You gonna love them 😉 I really can’t wait for the next two books in this exciting series.
Jackie and Vince serve as Co-Vice Presidents. Where one is weak, the other excels. They are also friends outside of work. Jackie and Vince started as coworkers who commensurated about their failed marriages, but became fast friends. Jackie's ex cheated on her, so she has major trust and self image issues. Vince's wife left him because she felt he couldn't give her the kind of life she wanted after his first business failed. So Vince believes his failures were the cause of his failed marriage. They are comfortable friends who have never crossed the line until....
Jackie watches, who she thinks is the man of her dreams, "Jaundice" run past her office window every day. She's obsessed with him, but won't make a move to get to know him. Vince volunteers to give her lessons in dating/relationships so she can get back in the game. What he didn't expect, was the jealous feelings that suddenly arose. But he stays true to his promise and coaches Jackie in hopes that "Jaundice" falls flat on his face.
This was my first Jessica Lemmon novel and I can't wait to read Arm Candy!!! Jackie and Vince were hilarious together, cute too. I also enjoyed their easy banter. Their story was VERY relatable. I can't wait to read Davis' story. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Unexpectedly funny. When I first started this book I was expecting hot and steamy, but soon I was smiling. I also expected that the eye candy jogger was going to be the love interest but immediately started wishing for it to be Vince. The girlfest ogling of the jogger was funny (and relatable). Jackie and Vince though.... sweet, funny and hot. Jackie had friend-zoned Vince but Vince thought he had the perfect way to make his way into Jackie's heart - help her get the other guy. Oops. Backfired. They find their way to each other even through all of the hiccups. Enjoyed this book and looking forward to (hopefully) reading Davis' love story.
Jackie is fascinated by an anonymous jogger she happens to be stalking. She would like to get to know him and wonders if he will live up to her fantasy. In real life, Vince is her best friend, they have a natural kinship and Jackie loves the way he owns his life with confidence. Vince is willing to become her dating coach and teach her how to approach a casual affair. He has this idea that can’t ask her out, despite his attraction to her. And obviously setting up the girl he likes with another guy is breaking his heart. Vince can’t keep his distance from Jackie, the dating game is an excuse to finally get closer to her.
Honestly this book was not my favorite by Jessica Lemmon. I struggled a bit with the story. I kept on reading, hoping that I would relate more to the characters, but I can’t say that it really worked. There were some aspects that didn’t work well for me, the dialogue felt a little unnatural and the storyline wasn’t fleshed out enough in my opinion. Whilst this book didn’t blow me away, it was an okay and sweet read, and I’ll definitely check out Jessica Lemmon’s next books.

Jessica Lemmon is a go-to author for me. I know when I see a Jessica Lemmon book that I'm going to laugh, swoon and have to fan myself. Eye Candy had me doing all of those things-and it even made me tear up.
Eye Candy is a refreshing take on the friends to lovers romance trope. We have Jacqueline and Vince, friends and coworkers who have bonded over their past failed relationships. There's a deeper connection there that they both ignore, assuming they're better off as friends...until Jackie sees a hot runner run by her window.
I loved Jackie-O. She's so real. This is a character I could sit down and have pizza and beer with. I imagine she portrays things every woman feels at one point or another-that uncertainty about themselves. She's funny, she's smart and she's sweet. But it's that vulnerability that got to me, that really spoke to me. Seeing her push through that and grow with it was amazing.
Vince. Holy hell did I love Vince. He had me laughing and swooning as he planned how he would get the girl. He's a bit scarred from his last relationship too, which lends a guardedness to him that totally works here. I fell in love with him from the start and I know other readers will as well.
The connection between these two is palpable. You can feel it jumping off the page and you just want them to be together. You want Vince to realize it's ok to love and not just be in lust/like with someone. You want Jackie to see she isn't lacking. And you want them both to realize that they're perfect together. Not individually, no, but they are the perfect match for each other. The way the author allows these characters to tell this story is great.
I read this in one sitting. I didn't want it to end-which is how I react to this author's work in general. I would absolutely recommend this book and look forward to the rest of the series.
