Oh how I missed my friends-to-lovers stories..This is one of the best ones, I tell you peeps. I fell in love with Jackie and Vince falling in love. Their friendship was so sweet, the kind of thing I could easily wish for myself-especially considering I’d end up with a thoughtful hunk like Vince. And the slowly yet suddenly falling in love part of this romance? Loved. It.

You might wonder what’s so smart and romantic about setting up your best friend with a mysterious yet good looking runner, but then you couldn’t be more wrong. Well, at least about the romantic part. I admit it wasn’t the smartest idea, but gotta let it slide because guy logic, yes?

As much as I sometimes doubted Vince’s reasoning, I adored him. He must be one of my most favorite romance heroes so far. He was sweet-sorry, Vince- he was thoughtful and a hell lot of passionate. And a big plus, his sense of humor was one I appreciated. And since we read this story through both Jackie and Vince’s points of view, he was honestly charming. A smooth talker. A lot transparent and easy to like.

As for Jackie, she also ranks high on my most favorite heroines ever. She was pretty funny herself, definitely the kind of gal I’d love to have caramel mocha latte with one pump vanilla and two pumps cinnamon with-her invention, not mine though I’m totally trying this. I loved her honest character, her easy and comfortable banter with Vince, how she didn’t take crap from anyone even though she’d been badly hurt by her ex husband before. She was a good friend, and she didn’t give up easily. Neither did Vince for that matter, and that was one of the best parts about their romance because sure, they wallowed at times but never enough to make a tragedy out of things. The story didn’t drag on about the obstacles and back and forths about feelings, but rather it was about their friendship and something more. A charming read.

I’m adding five spoonfuls of this story into my hodgepodge and calmly waiting for the next one. And by calmly I mean getting that caramel mocha latte with one pump vanilla and two pumps cinnamon and then climbing the walls in eagerness.

I do love a friend’s to lovers story and Jackie and Vince’s story had me very excited. Although I’m not a huge fan of stories written in the first person I dove in and found the story engaging.
Both Jackie and Vince have had marriages that ended badly and are wary of dating again. But poor Vince has a thing for Jackie who never dates, but suddenly finds herself drooling over a hot bodied runner. At the beginning I was enjoying the story with Jackie being totally oblivious and Vince’s growing jealousy. It was cute and fun. And their chemistry was so hot you knew they would burn the sheets up when the time came.
My biggest problem with the actual story was just how much time both the hero and the heroine thinking about their exes. Comparing people to their exes. In general I thought they spent WAY too much time thinking about relationships that ended badly. A long time ago. I mean, you have a great person right here in front of you, who wants you and you only you. But you’re thinking about someone who didn’t want you. What??
That kind of hindered my enjoyment of the story but overall it was well written, engaging and hot.
This story is a great chance to get lost in a fun story.

Eye Candy by Jessica Lemmon is a cute friends to lovers romance. The two main characters are co-VP's, working for a very traditional marketing organization. Jackie Butler and Vince Carson are best friends that truly helped each other deal with their respective divorces. Overtime, their friendship evolved into true love. This is the first book from the author's brand new Real Love series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

The secondary characters add some fun and angst to the plot, which keeps the story moving along. Riley, Vince's neighbor, is a real trip. She is a busybody, brews her own moonshine, and bakes Tater Tot casseroles. Jackie's sister Bethany is quite ballsy, and takes it upon herself to defend her sister's integrity. J.T., the hunky runner, and Vince's best friend Davis, are also interesting.

Overall, this is an entertaining romance with great character development and a few hot love scenes.

A sweet, funny, romantic story of two friends learning to love again.
In the board room Jackie is strong, confident, and ready to tackle every issue head on. In love, she has given up. After a divorce that left her broken, followed by a string of bad dates, she has sworn off men.
Vince, Jackie's best friend and co-worker, is determined to show her that all men are not her ex-husband. Bur first he needs to get her to forget her pledge to never date again. I fell for his charm from the start.
If you are like me and love a food friends-to-lovers story then this is the one for you. Eye Candy will have you laughing, and swooning at the same time.

Jacqueline: As an adult woman--and the vice president of a marketing firm--I shouldn't be waiting by my office window to ogle the mystery man who jogs by every morning at 11:45. Sure, he's a gorgeous, perfect specimen of the human race, but I can't bring myself to hit on a total stranger. However, my best friend-slash-colleague Vince Carson thinks I should do more than talk to the guy. In fact, he's borderline obsessive about "getting me laid." (His words.) But the more time we spend together, the more it's clear: The one I'm falling for is Vince.

Vince: Jackie Butler's got it bad for some pompous, over-pumped A-hole who struts his stuff past her window. That doesn't bother me. I know she deserves nice things. What does bother me is that she friend-zoned me big-time last year, so I can't ask her out myself. But what if I set her up with Mr. Steroids? Then, when he breaks her heart, I can swoop in and save her like the nice guy I am. Everything's going according to plan . . . until we share a ridiculously epic kiss. And suddenly anything is possible.

I really have a thing for friends to lovers books/tropes. They just work for me and the author did such a great job with this. This is the first book in the series and I will definitely be reading all the others. It's a really hard decision to make and to progress things from friends to more. Is it worth the time and effort to change the friendship? What if something goes wrong and you aren't friends anymore? What do you do when you realize that your best friend is the one you're supposed to be with? Do you risk everything and go for it Or do you give up the one thing you want most? Do you stay friends, ignore all the feelings and beat back those pesky loving feelings you're harboring? These are all questions that Vince and Jackie have to ask themselves. After all, Vince already has a failed marriage in his back pocket along with Jackie having one. They both decide to hit the dating scend...Jackie not so much as Vince because Vince is AEOJ or All Eyes on Jackie. What follows is a funny story of friends turning to lovers and then more.

At some points did the shenanigans of Vince get tiresome, but they were fun and I think after reading serious books, we sometimes need that. The next books will follow their friends which I can't wait for. The spicy level for me wasn't terribly bad and I thought the plot was tremendously good.

I was provided an ARC from the publisher/author/NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own and do not reflect anyone else's.

This was a good read for me. The story is fun and fast paced with some great characters, although I admit Vince did annoy me a bit. However, Jackie and Vince did have great chemistry and the sex was steamy. The story was a bit slow to start but definitely held my interest throughout.

Eye Candy is the first book I've read by author Jessica Lemmon and it won't be the last! Eye Candy had me cracking up while at the same time had me in knots over the blind spot that Jackie, our heroine, had when it came to real love.
Everyday women who work at the Brookdale Group gather in Jackie's office to watch the hottest guy they've ever seen jog by topless! He got all of right muscles in all of the right places and he's almost too handsome to be real.
Meanwhile Vince, a guy that Jackie works side by side with everyday goes unnoticed. Jackie thinks of him as a best friend and they hang out at each other's apartments and have movie marathons while munching on popcorn.
Jackie hasn't dated in a long time due to being hurt in her past and her girlfriends are always trying to set her up. But she has sworn off of men until she meets the Adonis.
The dynamics of this story are fascinating. You get duel points of view and it's interesting to get into the head of each main character.
Jackie's friends are a hoot and create comic relief throughout the book.
I highly recommend this book to those who like a little comedy with their romance. And the sex isn't bad either!
This is a standalone book with a HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Another friends/colleagues to romance story, i am on a roll reading good books of this nature. A slight twist on this one, that one friend pushes the other away in the hope for more - sneaky sneaky there. A cute and fun romance story and the start of a new series that promises to be fun and flirty if this book is anything to go by. Also i love the cover :) Final point - jogger guy though he sounds hot in the description, totally not one i would hope any female lead would go for, sounds too high much like hard work in my opinion

Eye Candy is a sweet, sexy friends to lovers story. Jackie (Jacqueline) and Vince are friends and colleagues who share the title of VP of marketing. Both have been hurt badly by exes in the past, and aren't really looking for another relationship. Jackie drools over a hot guy who runs past her office window every morning at around 11:45 and Vince decides he's going to help set her up to talk to the guy so that "First, it'll get her over the 'no dating ever' phase she's mired in, and second, it'll get her to see me as potential dating material." Because, what Jackie doesn't know, is that lately Vince has started noticing her as more than just one of his best friends. He's attracted to her pretty, girl-next-door look and her classy sense of style.

Of course you just know that Vince's plan is going to come with the potential to blow up in both their faces, but can their friendship handle it? Can they navigate the treacherous waters of a friendship turned lovers?

I like Eye Candy. It's sweet and sexy and both Jackie and Vince are engaging, likable characters, especially Vince. I think it lagged a tiny bit around the middle, but I was still fully entertained by it. Now I'm very much looking forward to the next two stories in this series.

I loved the premise of this book. The idea of a woman who sees someone, finds him appealing, and then wants to pursue him...all because he runs by her window at the same time almost every day.

Jacqueline and Vince are friends, but Vince is starting to accept that he wants there to be more between them. The problem? They are friends, Jacqueline helped him through his divorce, and she has pretty firmly "Friend zoned" him. And, she doesn't date.

Vince's idea around this? To set her up with the runner guy, so it "breaks the seal" so to speak on her dating, and he can move in when things don't work out. Vince is the only one who thinks this is a good idea.

Does this backfire? Of course it does, and that was obvious from a mile away, that this was going to go wrong.

The story itself, aside from the premise of the runner, is pretty much the standard friends to lovers. But, the difference here is Jessica Lemmon. As always, her writing is fresh, and it is fun. She takes what could be an ordinary story and gives it life through her characters, and the relationships they have with one another. You get to know them, and you connect with them.

Friends to lovers is difficult, as there is a lot at risk in taking that leap, and I loved the way the author handled the anxiety of this, how it was mixed with the friendship, and the awkwardness of the change in the relationship.

I also appreciate the use of stairs. Those worked well too...but to get that explanation, you are going to have to read the book, which I recommend.

Jacqueline Butler is intrigued by the gorgeous guy who runs past her office window every day and she's recently learned they live in the same complex. Her past is keeping her from allowing herself to be open to a new relationship.

Vince Carson has been so caught up in his friendship with his Co-VP it isn't until he sees her interest in someone else that he actually sees her. He's still reeling from the loss of his marriage and can't seem to move forward.

This is a sweet story about two people who want the same thing but are afraid to take the next step because they bear the scars of their pasts. I really liked the development of the story and watching the characters grow. The transformations were beautifully written. I enjoyed discovering more about the characters as the story unfolded rather than being given most of it upfront.

I found the flow of the story worked well and was well-developed. I found the characters to be realistic.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yey! A new series by Jessica Lemmon is definitely something to get excited about. This first novel is a friends to lovers romance.

Vince Carson's feelings for his best friend run far deeper than the platonic show he displays for Jacqueline Butler daily. During the day, they share the role of vice president for the marketing firm they work for. The rest of the time, they hang out because they share common interests. When Jackie begins to lust over a guy who jogs past her office window every day, Vince convinces her she should ask him out. Only his best-laid plans don't go as he expects.

Jackie Butler's days have been far brighter since 'Golden Boy' began jogging past her office window at the marketing firm she is vice president of. She's surprised when her best friend and colleague suggests she asks out the object of her desire. However, she's even more astonished when Vince recommends to help her out. Only, he has a hidden agenda she isn't aware of...

The Author has me squirming in my seat (positive response) as Jackie navigates her difficult situation stage-managed by Vince. It's uncomfortable to read in a car crash way as she copes with circumstances way beyond her comfort zone. Yet, simultaneously, the comedy of errors situations are hilarious and highly entertaining. Written from a dual point of view, it's amusing to contemplate their reactions as things don't go according to plan and satisfying when they do.

The dialogue is littered with witty banter as the protagonists muddle their way through the highs and lows of the shenanigans caused by Vince's serious errors of judgement. Throughout the drama, the pair is supported by a likeable bunch of friends, we'd all feel comfortable sharing a drink with. Ms Lemmon is a go-to author for me and Eye Candy more than lives up to my expectations. The writing is style is sexy and light-hearted creating an absorbing, page-turning, fun read.

I love a hot steamy romance and this one has all of the earmarks of a yummy read. Thankfully, I was not wrong!

Vince is a sweetheart who's good friend happens to be a girl. A girl he wants! But said girl happens to have the hot's for another. Stepping up to coach her sounds like a great idea.... until it's not.

With plenty of action, some back and forth antics, steamy scenes, and a delicious hunk of a man, Eye Candy is a fun read that is right up any chick lit lover's alley.

This is the first book I have read by Jessica Lemmon and I loved it! Amusing with the right amount of hot love to keep it all sweaty and interesting!

This was a cute story where each of the main characters get a second chance at Love.
Jackie and Vince are coworkers whose friendship carries over into their off hours. She was his hand to hold as he got over his divorce, but nothing more until...
Enter the hot guy who runs by her office everyday....
what happened next led to some cringe- worthy moments for me (and is a big reason this isn't a full 4 star read-it's personal preference, but I think it could have been handled differently)
The appearance of running guy and the fallout leads to Vince and Jackie finally acting on their feelings. The story that follows is sometimes sweet, sometimes sad, and sometimes frustrating as they both have to face demons and insecurities from their prior marriages to get where they are going.
The overall secondary cast is pretty small, but we spend a lot of time with Vince's friend, Davis, so I would expect to see him featured soon.
Overall, a good read - maybe not one of Ms. Lemmon's strongest, but definitely worth the time.

I love Jessica Lemmon and have enjoyed all of her books. While I liked Eye Candy and found it sweet and sexy, I had a hard time staying engaged in the story. There is fun banter, steamy moments and a heartwarming romance, but the story moves a little slow for me. Perhaps it was an off day for me, because I truly think Lemmon is a phenomenal talent. Eye Candy is just not my favorite by her, but I will definitely be picking up her next book.

ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.

I am not super familiar with Ms Lemmon's work but after reading this book I am looking forward to reading more of her stuff. This was a pretty good book. It was an interesting story, of two friends who have been through divorces and are contemplating becoming more. They were both the ones that their spouse's walked out on and it left them a little hurt, but not so dramatically that they never want to have a relationship again. I loved the light easy relationship that Jackie and Vince had and it was fun to watch it bloom into more! They had some fun light banter and plenty of chemistry between them. I highly recommend this book. I hope Vince's friend Davis that you meet in this book gets his HEA, I can't wait to read his story.

I was eagerly anticipating this book, and I did like it, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. For some reason I thought it was going to be more of a rom com, but it had very little humor beyond the set up. It felt somewhat heavy handed to me with all the horrible past relationships. An okay read, but not my favorite.

This was my introductory book to Jessica Lemmon, and I have to say that I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it so much that I have already requested the second book from NetGalley. I can't wait to dive into this series.

This book was also the first book I had read where both the hero and heroine were both divorces, I did get a little hung up on that fact as I can't fathom the idea of going through such a horrible event. I had a hard time connecting with the characters for that reason, but regardless of that, it was still a phenomenal book. The characters were well written, and the plot was plausible.

All in a pretty good book.
