4 1/2 Stars for this romantic comedy!

Vince and Jackie are the co Vice-Presidents of the company they work for, and that's not the only thing they have in common. Vince's wife left him around a year ago because she just didn't love him anymore. While Jackie's husband left her for his mistress about 3 years ago and she still has not slept with anyone else. Vince and Jackie become friends as she helps him through his divorce ... as she's been there, done that. They decide she needs to have her rebound sex, so she can get on with her life and Vince is going to coach her, as he's already has lots of rebound sex. Along the way, they start to see each other in a different light and begin to fall for each other.

The banter between the characters is so realistic ... especially between Vince and his friend Davis. If you are looking for a light romantic comedy with great steamy scenes, then this is the book for you. I can't wait to start the second book in the series "Arm Candy" about Davis.

Loved this book so much - great story, great characters. Lots of fun. Jackie sees the same delicious guy jogging past her window most days, so she decides to muster up the courage to approach him. She shares her thoughts with a couple of her best friends, one of whom is a co-worker and, like Jackie, a recent divorcee, named Vince. Watching Jackie pursue J.T. (the jogger) causes Vince to realize that maybe his friendship with Jackie needs to be taken to the next level. All that's left is for Jackie to figure out what she really wants, and which guy is the one to give it to her.

The writing is exceptionally intelligent, the dialogue is witty and creative, the love story is delicately yet passionately described for the reader to enjoy. My favorite part, unusual as it is, was in the acknowledgements when the author credits her husband with pointing out a handsome jogger and giving her the idea for the story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book from NetGalley.

Loved it! So so good! Vince is awesome! This story was well written and sexy and charming. I loved every minute of it! I loved all the shenanigans! The hero and heroine are so good together and I can't believe it took that long for the heroine to see they were perfect together. I love friends to lovers romance! I really got a kick out of this! I can't wait to read more of this series!

Friends-to-lovers story got your mojo going? Then, be sure to take a look at EYE CANDY.

Co vice-presidents Vince and Jackie have become best friends since Vince's wife left him, and you can really see this in the easy camaraderie and rapport between them. I enjoyed their banter, friendly dealings and sizzling chemistry, and even their graduation to sex--the one on the stairs, swoon!--seems natural and the next step in their mutual attraction. Vince is quite the funny guy, a charmer, and I love that the author showed us his vulnerable side--during the conversation with his father and also when he thought Jackie didn't trust him. I especially enjoyed when he used the scheme of being her dating coach to teach her how to snag the guy she thought she wanted--delightful shenanigans ensued.

The story is told from alternate first persons points of view, which in my opinion, helped me as a reader to get into both the characters' heads and see things from each person's perspective. This is better than the solo 1st POV. The pacing was just right with a balanced amount of angst, and we get these tantalizing glimpses of Vince's best friend Davis and his past (I wonder what's up with that?) and his interactions with Grace the bartender, which we can read about in the next book featuring these two as the main characters in Arm Candy.

An original friends to lover's plot and enough twists to keep me reading! The only thing that could have made it better was the "game" Vince was playing at with the relationship coach thing. He needed Gibbs slapped for real!!

Thank you Loveswept for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Eye Candy is an enjoyable friends-to-lovers romance but the miscommunication between the lead protagonists was a let down. I wish Vince Carson could have been more honest to Jacqueline Butler about his feelings instead of sending her mixed signals and encouraging her to date the Jogger she ogles. I like Jacqueline except for one part she tries to make Vince jealous. It's quite immature. I understand the issues they have since they're both divorced from their partners and both are playing safe to preserve their friendship. If only they talk things out, these minor problems can be resolved earlier. Overall, it's not a bad start and I'm excited for the next book.

This was my first by Jessica Lemmon and I loved it. The whole friends to lovers story gets me every time, but this one had a twist and I loved every second of it. I was hooked from the very beginning and I didn't want it to end. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was going to happen, I needed to know what was going to happen. I can say it was my first by Jessica Lemmon and it won't be my last, that's for sure. It was light, funny and everything I needed.
The story of friends to lovers, had a twist to it this time. Jackie and Vince are also coworkers who say the role of VP at the company they work for. They are both divorced, but have no idea that they are attracted to each other. This makes it comical since Jackie has her eye on the mysterious runner she sees weekly. Watching Jackie and Vince work through finally getting together was cute. It was fun and you felt for them both. You feel the confusion that is going on. You hurt for them both since you want to smack them and be like "hello!" but overall, I loved their story. It was unique to them. The plot twists were awesome and so not expected. I do wish Vince had been a little more honest with Jackie at times, but then the story wouldn't be what it was.
I can't wait for more from this series by Jessica Lemmon.

Every once in a while, you run across one of those feel good stories with true friends falling in love. Eye Candy is the perfect example of best friends falling in love. Don't get me wrong, it isn't all roses and daisies and Lemmon added a couple of thorns in the way, but in the end Eye Candy was that HEA I crave.

I will say that the cover of this book caught my eye, the blurb caught my attention and the story itself…….it grabbed me and would let go. It was fantastic, funny and heart-warming. Why oh why have I not read this author before?

This book was not what I expected, I admit it. I figured it would be a fun contemporary read. Well it was far more than that. I had so much fun reading Vince and Jackie’s story and watching them fight the inevitable to the very end that I kind of want to go back and read it again. It’s really not your average office romance story.

One of my favourite things about this story was the fact that both the main characters are divorcees and ones who have helped each other through the hard and good times post-divorce. Strange I know, but for me it gave the story a touch of realism. Add in the fact that they work together and I was lost.

I adored reading Vince and Jackie from the opening lines, through all the fun right to the pre-requisite heart break that made me want to smack them both of them at times and make up. I’m not kidding when I say it’s a fun read. Especially when the line is crossed from friends to lovers with all the land mines that pop up in between then and the final HEA.

Vince is just one of those characters that you instantly like. Even when he comes up with the idea to coach the woman he desperately wants to get another man he is still adorable. So what if he’s been friend zoned by Jackie. There are ways of changing that but is it worth ruining a friendship over?

Oh Jackie, she had me cracking up over some of the things she does in this book. I want her as friend in real life. But seeing her find her feet after a horrible divorce is perfect. Watching her fall head over heels for Vince, her best friend and co-worker…priceless.

Reading these two finally put their divorces behind them and take that big step back into the relationship world was not only fun and hot, but heart-warming as we see them process the changes and what they thought they wanted compared to reality.

I can’t wait for the next book. This is the perfect summer read that should not be missed.

Friends/Coworker -teacher and student to lovers?
Outside of Jacqueline’s window at 11:45 a.m. There is her fantasy comes to life. Shirtless, broad shoulder and hairless chest, close to adonis comes to life as an jogger. She lust over him for awhile and when she is ogling him close to the window walks in her co-vice president Vince who insist he should ask him out.
Jacqueline and Vince has been good friends and co-workers as well. She has been there for him when he was going through rough divorce and they were comfortable with each other.
However, when it comes dating for Jacqueline, it is not easy. Jacqueline’s ex-husband left her for someone else and it shattered her image of relationships. She wasn’t sure if she could trust any one after Lex (her ex-douche of a husband). But she decided to bite the bullet and asks J.T who happens to live in same complex as she does and she gets a date with her fantasy man.
Vince and Jacqueline were attracted to each other but when it comes to relationships, timing is everything. Now Vince is pushing Jacqueline to ask him out and he decided to become her teacher to show her the ‘rope’ of dating. They are spending more time together than Jacqueline spending with JT aka Jaundice by Vince. He goes over every step since he knows Jacqueline is stickler for following the rules. They practice how to date from coffee conversations, what to wear, and to how to kiss.
But fantasy should stay fantasy as Jacqueline realizes. She keeps comparing J.T. to Vince and she is confused who she is dating and liking more. More and more she sees different side of Vince and it is turning her on. When she was rejected by J.T. and find him with another man she goes to Vince to vent but things turn sizzling hot between them. He couldn’t turn Jacqueline and he wanted to show how things could turn..
While Jacqueline thought things were going, Vince changes his tactic and wants to continue to “coach” her. But this ‘Coaching’ is more than just going over conversations. When things couldn’t get any better their past doubts creeping back.
What will happen to both? They are so cute together... She needs get over the fact no all man are Lex and Vince needs to get over the fact he can find his own happiness after Leslie.

Great second chance, friends to lover story for summer. It kept me up at night to know what would happen to Vince and Jackie.
I can’t wait to read the next one about Vince’s sour tempered Davis.

I really enjoyed Jessica Lemmon's twist on friends to lovers story line!

I loved Vince!!! He just wants to take his friendship with Jacqueline to the next level.
Jacqueline, on the other hand, has a major crush on T.J.. So when Vince offers to coach Jacqueline to win over T.J., will Jacqueline see what is front of her eyes?

I enjoyed the secondary characters and felt they really added to the story. I hope Vince's best friend gets to tell his own story!

This book has everything I need: love, friendship, and a lot of humor!

I can't wait to read more by Jessica Lemmon! I could not put this book down.

A rom-com type of book, my first by this author. It was a great change of pace from the usual true crime and biographies I usually read. A funny romance with some adult language, I enjoyed this thoroughly. Great momentum and sexy tension. Loved the characters and their sassy comeback retorts, very cute. Plenty of playful moments and mess ups trying to win each other along the way. A lovable read that makes me wish to see more by this writer. My thanks to Goodreads and Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept for providing me an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I would be the office worker who watches for the runner. I don't mind the main character going after the runner. It's a delightful story filled with missteps and miscues but with best results if all can hang in there and be honest with themselves.

A very enjoyable start to a new contemporary romance series by Jessica Lemmon; Eye Candy provides a fun and flirty friends-to-lovers romance that reads fast. Lemmon's third person writing style shines as always engaging readers with endearing characters, quirky anecdotes, and a fast-paced, romantic plot.

The friends-to-lovers scenario in this book was cute. There was a lot of game playing and push/pull kind of communication between the two friends as they both fended off their feelings for each other throughout the course of their story. At times it felt a little impish as though I were reading NA rather than contemporary romance. It wasn't off-putting but it did become a little cumbersome keeping the story from really igniting for me. However, both Jacqueline and Vince were fun to read as they dealt with the turmoils of their lives and their friendship. The bond they shared ran deep and the comfort level they found in each other was reassuring. They made the book fun with a bit of fun angst thrown in.

Overall, Jessica Lemmon always provides a book well worth reading. Her romances are easy to follow and fun to get lost in. I easily read this in a day during a long holiday weekend and enjoyed my time spent in Ohio with Jacqueline and Vince. Eye Candy will work for any contemporary romance reader and is the first standalone in an upcoming series of standalone books.

I tried this one because Nereyda liked the book, but unfortunately, it wasn't for me. Eye Candy had a fun premise of a friends-to-lovers romance, but I found it to be boring. I could hardly keep my eyes open. The only reason I continued on was I kept hoping it would get better.

I think the biggest issue here for me were how one-dimensional these characters were. We don't particularly get to know them, and even the bit we did get to know, I just wasn't a fan of. The romance didn't work for me either. It suddenly jumped from a friendship to a romance, and I couldn't see the flow in the relationship. The chemistry felt forced, so Jacqueline and Vince as a couple never worked for me. I also just rolled my eyes repeatedly throughout the story at their antics and their stupid miscommunication. Also the whole thing with the runner dude was so pointless. Anyways, yeah the writing itself was decent, but I wasn't into this book at all, unfortunately. :(

Vince and Jackie are both divorced and helped each other through it. By the time Vince realizes he's over his ex-wife and is falling for Jackie, she decides she's done dating. Vince realizes he needs to push her back out into the dating scene before he can pursue her himself.

This story was cute, but also a bit frustrating. Both have been badly burned by their exes and it hampered both of them in moving forward. Instead of taking a direct approach, Vince felt the need to push Jackie towards someone else while trying to prove he was better for her, which caused more relationship angst than was necessary.

Despite the angst, I liked all the characters. Davis and Grace is next up in Arm Candy. ARC provided by NetGalley.
