The Sentient's Oblation is the 3rd book in the Gabrielle Trilogy and I felt the second book The Hounds of Arawn was the best book in the series as the first book was slow and confusing and this book just flopped. I felt it had so much potential that it didn't live up to.

Just as good as the second book if not better! It's a great plus for the author that she knows how to write a good historical setting and makes it easier to get into the time period.
The story was dramatic, the good, suspense filled dramatic that leaves you scanning the pages fast in a need to find out what's gonna happen.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this book however, I disliked what I read of the first book, and will not be reading the rest of the series. I have not rated or reviewed it.

Curiosity And The Sentients Obliations.
The widowed wife of a North Carolina plantation owner, Gabrielle awakens in this life with a broken heart and a sharpened spirit. Living in one of the darkest times in American history, she finds herself running a safe house for the underground railroad during the American Civil War. In order to save a life, Gabrielle must make a sacrifice that could damn her host for eternity.
A fantastic read with brilliant characters. I loved Gabrielle. I do hope there is more to come as I would like to know about Gabrielle's mother. 5*. This is a must read and I would highly recommend this book. Netgalley and weaponry co-op.

I wanted to love it. The story has some great themes and there are some great plot twists and ideas, they just don't fit together as a story. As a book it lacked the depth I wanted and the character development was very weak. I didn't care or believe the relationships in the book, they were too brief, quick and understated. It's such a shame, as an idea it's fantastic and that the only reason I managed to finish it.

I loved this book! While the previous books were a little slower, this one really picked up the action earlier on and the twists in this one, I never really knew what to expect. I'm really glad that I decided to stick with the series because I was not disappointed. I also really loved the way it ended. It's a great way to round out the series.

As Gabrielle continues to move forward through history she finally finds herself in the body of a woman living during the civil war. The woman whose story she will relive is a recent widow with the ownership of a large plantation on the edge of freedom and slavery for many. Her home is free and the people that live there are free but time hasn't brought about change enough for the people that surround the land to hold the same view as Gabrielle. Add to that with Arawyn and his attempts to find a loop hole in taking what he wants from Gabrielle--well, let's just say that none of the lives that Gabrielle has lived through so far have been easy.

This life, though, seems to be the one that takes the most toll on Gabrielle. Arawyn has changed the stakes and Gabrielle, as herself, feels the pain of loss.

What is next for Gabrielle? I guess only time will tell.

Battlefield scene in the beginning was descriptive; and disturbing. Couldn't read the rest.
