I thought kiss of the Irish was a cute book . Sarah is trying to find herself after her relationship ended and finds herself in Ireland.

I liked the email banter between her and Cian . They were fun and flirty into the beginning of the story. Even when she first arrived in Ireland they had a easy friendship. I loved the pub scenes that the author created. The description of the village and the area around it was spot on.
While I enjoyed the book it seemed to take a little longer than I hoped for these two to become more than friends. They needed more of a spark

when ciann (pronounced key'-in) murphy lets out his flat to american sarah mercer in kiss of the irish he is hopeful that the light flirtation that existed in their messages about the flat will turn into something more.

when he meets sarah it's safe to say that she exceeds his expectations. sarah knew that it was time to break away from her need to please everyone else in her life. she's always chosen the safe path. her art history major instead of a fine arts one. her relationship with ross. her apartment in boston. the furniture in the apartment. everything in her life has been a compromise.

but when she is left by her ex-fiancé for a stripper, she thinks maybe it's time to liven things up. first stop is taking the trip of a lifetime to ireland. second stop, well, she's still figuring that out.

as she starts spending time with the people she meets in ireland, she realizes that it's okay to live for herself. she doesn't need to worry about what people will think or do. if they love her, they will just want her happiness. being with ciann makes her happy. the romance between them grows pretty quickly, but this story is as much about sarah finding love with ciann as it is about sarah learning to love and trust herself. it's a short, sweet and sexy read.

What a great story about finding yourself and living up to your expectations and not others. I loved this story and the characters are amazing!! This is such a fun book to read you just want to go to the pub and hang out with this crew! Have a pint and some stew and just chill! I loved everything about this book, excellent writing and characters and the setting is just wonderful!

This book is about a hot Irish bad boy falling for a girl who has self esteem and trust issues from Boston. I really like Cian. He was witty, smart, hot, and very sweet. I wasn't a fan of the woman. She was very confusing, no backbone, and no self esteem. I liked that Cian helped her embrace this new life and helped her gain some confidence, but unfortunately she still got on my nerves. This book does have a happily ever after and a few sexy scenes. Overall, it was a nice read and made me want my own sexy Irish bad boy.

This was a fun story. A strong, 4-star read!

Sarah has always done the sensible thing. The "right" thing. The things that everyone else told her she should do; everyone being her parents, friends, and her ex-fiance, Ross. She's led a pretty sedate life. She's shy, and nice, and doesn't seem to think much of herself. When Ross leaves her for a stripper, she puts her life on hold and runs. She takes a leave of absence from her job, sublets her apartment, and heads to Ireland to get her life back together and figure out how she's going to proceed.

Cian owns the apartment building Sarah rents in Ireland, as well as the pub at the end of the street, Wild Irish. He's always had a bit of wanderlust, and he traveled all over the world after leaving home at 18. But now, he's older and more settled, and he's running his bar, and making money off of his investments. He's taken with Sarah from the first, even through their email correspondence prior to her arrival. He hopes to be able to spend time with her while she's in town. He has no idea what's to come.

Cian and Sarah were so sweet together. She's so jet-lagged at their first meeting, and it's hilarious. He really wants to get to know her better, but she can't fathom why a sexy, tattooed, bad boy could possibly have any interest in her. He's certainly not the type of man she's usually been interested in, and the idea of him scares her a little. Sarah has taken other people's opinions of her and made them her own. She starts to realize that she doesn't really know herself at all. Cian is very good for her in the way that he makes her examine herself, and her choices, and discover new things about herself. She's good for him in the way she makes him want to care for her, and be a good guy. He makes her feel important, which she's never had anyone do before. It's a really great match.

I really liked the main couple's chemistry, and their sexy banter, once Sarah began to loosen up. Some of the side characters were quite fun as well, including Cian's sister Ainsley, and her best friend Nell. I'm hoping future books will be about them! The Irish setting was really fun as well, and the small town really played a character of it's own in the story. This was a really good start to a fun, sexy series.

Fun and sexy read !

After a bad breakup, Sarah decided to take a sabbatical and move to Ireland for a couple of months.
Cain, her landlord in Ireland is a sexy bad boy, definitely not her type, except for the intense chemistry they share makes it easy to forget that. What will she do when her vacation is over ?
This is one of the most entertaining books I have read. Its fast paced, hot, funny, well written, did I mention hot, exciting and passionate, a perfect getaway read.

This book is almost scene-by-scene a copy of Nora Roberts Jewels of the Sun, with a small dose of Tears of the Moon thrown in at the end. We have the jilted mousey stifled artist with the overbearing family, fleeing from heartbreak in Boston to take a small sabbatical in a random small Irish town. Arriving in a rainstorm and a harrowing drive to said small town, she then meets the barkeep who is a world travelled bad-boy with a quirky fam who sets his sight on loosening her up. She has a shopping trip with his sister and fun friend to work on her confidence and share her tale of love gone wrong, a snogging scene or two in the bar's office, shows her plucky new confidence by helping out at the bar when someone calls in sick, and then follows her artistic little heart to start expressing herself again. Bad news from home is that the ex has proposed to the other woman (as opposed to Roberts' impregnate, which is a negligible difference) and she realizes that she's in love with her bar man so the news does not devistate as expected. Then the story takes a page from Ms Roberts OTHER book in the Irish trilogy (Tears of the Moon) and our lovers have a spat regarding the overstepping of her lover by trying to sell some of her artwork in a misguided attempt to make her feel independent and want her to stay.
All that said (and plagarism aside) i was entertained by this story. The writer has a great way with words, even if the story itself did not appear to be hers.

Sarah is running away from a bad breakup. The ever sensible Sarah heads to Ireland and rents a flat. Her landlord, Cian, definitely has the bad boy tattooed and pierced thing going for him. Can he overcome Sarah's reservations and help her find herself? Vacation flings can be steamy and no strings, but what if you want strings in the end?

Sweet, romantic story set in Ireland. Author does a great job of capturing the local Irish folk. Even though the main characters, Sarah and Cain, are likable, there were a few elements missing. No mention is made of Cian's other piercings and Sarah becomes whiney through much of the book. The ending is abrupt and deserves another chapter or epilogue.

I need an Irish Man to kiss too. Just reading about Cian made me sigh. Lucky, lucky Sarah.

This one was cute. Nothing earthshattering but a straight forward sweet romance. It was well written and nicely paced. No OW/OM drama. Not really any angst to speak of. Had a couple interesting side characters. Both main characters were fairly likable. Cian was a hot tatted up and pierced Irish lad. He was sweet and all in from the start. Sarah was a little less likable. I don't mind heroines with self-esteem issues but good lord this chick needed to grow a backbone. She gets better as the book moves along, so there is that.

The sex scenes were a little on the "meh" side and there really wasn't a lot of them. In fact, I don't think they actually have sex until close to 60% in. In fact, this brings up the oddest of issues (the sex scenes). At the beginning, Cian is described as having a facial piercing, pierced nipples, and a pierced penis. Great fanfare is made about his piercings (eyebrow and nipples) by the heroine, but when they have sex, NO MENTION is EVER made of his penis being pierced. Since she was so enamored by his other piercings one would think that one through the head of his penis would have rated at least a single acknowledgment! Go figure...

Lastly, I HATED the ending of this one. Talk about abrupt. Good lord this needed an epilogue in a major way. Even with those issues I still enjoyed it so it gets a thumb from yours truly.
