This friends to lovers romance is the second book in the Country Blues series by Rachel Harris. The characters Hannah and Deacon were childhood best friends whose chemistry is off the charts. It was the perfect read for a weekend, and I enjoyed my downtime reading this book. While this is part of a series, I don't think you lose anything by reading this book on its own. If you are looking for an easy, enjoyable read, The Nanny Arrangement fits the bill.

This was a wonderful quick read that involves two best friends finally finding their way to one another. There was so much sweetness throughout the book that you couldn't help but fall in love with everyone in it. Knowing that this is a series helps to quench the thirst for more of all these wonderful characters. I know I will be exploring them further in the other books.

We meet Deacon and Hannah as Deacon moved next door as a sullen teenager, Hannah can't help herself and goes over to say hello and so their friendship has begun. This isn't a teenage love story though, no this is a story of a woman coming back and finding herself. A story of a man discovering that maybe he is worth it and deserving. This is a story about discovering your worth in life. I adored the interchanges between the two and I really enjoyed that this wasn't an overly sexed book, it gears more toward sweet and romantic.

Reading about the relationship between Hannah and Max (Deacon's son) is precious. There were so many wonderful tender moments of that innocence you couldn't help but smile at. But what really got me was the relationship between Deacon and Hannah. Their blossoming feelings that were finally coming to fruition. I can't say enough how sweet it was, and hopeful. There was a moment there that got me really invested and sad where I couldn't help but shed tears as I felt Hannah's pain. But overcoming things and moving forward is what makes you stronger.

Loved this book and I couldn't wait to read the whole thing. Very endearing.

When I first started this book I really was not a fan I felt like the first few chapters read like a journal entry and came off a little to "wordy". However once Hannah and Deacon met up with the band the whole thing changed and it got good. I liked Hannah she was a sweet spirit so unsure of herself but ready to step out of her comfort zone and take on the world. Deacon was some one you wanted to love to hate, he has a broken spirit but he wanted to do what was best for his son and would stop at nothing to make that happen. I loved Arabelle and Sherry they are the best kind of cheerleaders a girl can ask for. I did not read book one but I will say I hope to find out what happens with the other band members. Over all this book was a really fun read and I can't wait for more. For those who are content sensitive: this book contains non-graphic scenes and descriptions of sexual content.

I can honestly say that Rachel Harris does not disappoint her readers with The Nanny Arrangement. This book is number two in her Country Blues series and is tied to her Love & Games series however, it can easily be read as a standalone. Yes, as the title implies the nanny and her employer (well one of them) fall in love, but they happen to be best friends since their early high school years. This was a sweet friends to lovers story in which we get a glimpse of their past lives together, the incident that sent the heroine fleeing to France as an au pair, and a look at them figuring out in each other they have everything they could want and more.

Deacon Lattrell is finally making his dreams come true, as the new fiddle and keyboardist for Blue, an up and coming country rock band. Heading out on tour, Blue’s management hires Deacon’s best friend, Hannah Fisher, to be the band’s nanny which works great for him because she has spent a lot of time with Max since his birth. Hannah having just returned from France is on a mission to make Deacon see her as more than a friend, little does she know that Deacon has noticed her but fears losing his best friend and Max losing her as a nanny if he acts on his feelings.

Honestly, I always find myself smiling when I read a book by Ms. Harris because they just make me happy. For years Deacon protected Hannah and she called him her Superman and he called her Cherry because of her red hair and her easy blush. When she befriended the “new kid” on the block she never imagined having such a great friend and as she realized his home situation wasn’t the best, her parents gave him guidance, love, support and a place to land when he needed it. Becoming a single Dad after his son’s mother took off at the hospital, threw him but between Hannah and her parents he is giving everything he can to make sure his son knows he is loved and has the stability he never felt. Both Hannah and Deacon were insecure about many things, but what I loved was that they were always there to lift one another up and help each other see that they were stronger than they realized.

I very much enjoyed the sensuality of The Nanny Arrangement, the camaraderie of the band and their significant others, the adorable Max, and these friends finding their way to each other despite a few bumps in the road along the way.

Hannah and Deacon are best friends and have been for as long as they can remember. Hannah has had a crush on Deacon for such a long time that when the opportunity arises to where she can get her man she jumps at the chance to be his son's nanny on a rock band tour bus. Deacon has had it bad for Hannah since she first smiled at him but he's never wanted to ruin their friendship. Sometimes the one you've always wanted has been under your nose the entire time and you realize how much time you've wasted but it's never too late to start your forever with your one true love.

This was an easy read, story was not deep enough for me, good if you want to read something that doesn't require a lot of attention/focus. Story of Hannah and Deacon who hit the road with Deacon's band and Hannah as the sitter for the children. She has a thing for Deacon, story unfolds as they are on the road. just not mature enough for me

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I'm totally and completely smitten. Deacon and Hannah were just about the sweetest ever and I could read a book just about Max, that's how cute he was. Deacon and Hannah have been best friends for 10 years, which is exactly how long Hannah's been in love with him. Now she's back in his life, living in close quarters as she nannies for his band and poor Deacon doesn't stand a chance.

I loved watching him battle with himself. He didn't feel like he deserved love and he was so worried that if they moved past friendship that she would leave too. Luckily, thanks to some very helpful matchmakers and intense chemistry, they're taking a new relationship for a test drive.

Hannah was absolutely adorable...she had so much fun with her charges and it was great watching her develop friendships with Sherry and Ella on the bus. And Deacon wanted nothing more than to belong and be a good father. Watching them both dance around each other was just fun. And those ending scenes were almost too much for me to bear. They were heartfelt and emotional and just a lot of perfect.

It was great catching up with the other guys in the band (and their ladies), and I'm excited to see what's in store for Blue. Well done Harris!

Thank you for the opportunity to review this title. Unfortunately in this case I found it difficult to connect to the story. As I didn't completely finish this book I will not be publishing a review. We do not review uncompleted books on the blog, and again, thank you for sending through a review copy. Although this title didn't work for me, I do look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This one started off a little slow for me. And I might be over the whole nanny thing ( there has been sooooooo many many book lately!!). This was just a meh read for me. I love a good friends-to-lovers trope, so this one was right up my alley.

As you’ve probably figured out by now, this book is about two friends trying to deal with their attraction for one another, in different ways: one tries to get the other’s attention, where the other tries not to put their friendship in danger. The question is how do you cross the “Friend Zone” without destroying it?

I found the story quite enjoyable, especially because it covers with sensitive aspect of becoming more than friends. There may be more things I was not quite comfortable with, but at the end of the book, I felt satisfied enough with giving three stars.

Hannah is a nice character. She’s determined to make Deacon see her as more than his best friend, after a year away from him. Being away from her loved ones made her become more confident and become mature enough to follow her goals. Throughout her childhood, she found comfort in Deacon, him being the only kid her age interested in becoming her friend. Because of her stutter and her cheap clothes, she has always been regarded as an outsider.

With a significant number of people that had abandoned him, Deacon appreciated the little girl’s gesture of talking to him that day and ever since he’s done and nothing but protect her. She’s given him the family he’s never had. Her parents welcomed him and provided support when his drunk mother was not able. He has a great career ahead only because of his best friend. She pushed him towards his dreams, so he wants to fight this insane attraction at all costs, or else it will destroy their friendship, his heart and especially his little boys heart. His son regarded Hannah as the mother she never had the chance to meet.

I like this fight that torments each character and I like more that they were pushing for completely different things. But I was not at all comfortable with all the talk and no action from Hannah’s side. She is portrayed as such a determined person, willing to do a lot to gain Deacon’s heart. But only when pushed by her new friends does she act on her plan. And I also was a little confused at what Deacon’s feelings were. We also find out things about his ex-girlfriend, with whom he appeared to be in love at some point. She is described to be such a mean person and criticized that at some point you get to hate her completely, even though she’s not a character in the book.

I still have mixed feelings about the story, but at least now I can say I enjoyed it. I expect more from the other books in the series.

I really enjoyed this sweet emotional read. Hannah have always loved Deacon since they were teenagers. She is determined to get Deacon to see her as more than a friend. So when he offered her a job as his nanny she saw it as an an opportunity for her plan. Deacon have always needed and trust Hannah. It took her her new job assignment for him to see as more than a friend. They both had to deal with insecurities that later affected their relationship but they learn to conquer their insecurities and trust in their love. Recommended read

It was okay. Nothing special but it wasn't bad either. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood. I liked the first half of the book but then I got bored pretty quickly.

This book can easily be read as a standalone, I didn't even know this was the second book to a series until I started to write this review a few minutes ago. But having read the first book makes a certain scene in "The Nanny Arrangement" much more exciting, I believe.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
You're Still the One (Country Blues, #1)

This is Hannah and Deacon’s story. Hannah and Deacon have been friends since they were little. Hannah has been in love with him for a long time but she is shy. When she knows, she is going on tour with him to watch his son she knows she needs to get ready for battle. She wants him and he is not going to fall easy. Deacon is a former bad boy but is trying to be a better man for his son. With his best friend, Hannah on the tour bus he will get the help he needs with his son. Now if he could just stop thinking about her in a not so friend way he would be good. With Hannah acting a different way toward him does he even have a chance?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

The Nanny Arrangement by Rachel Harris is amazing ya’ll. I love this story. Everyone knows that I am a huge fan of Rachel Harris’. Hannah’s story is by far one of my favorites. Hannah Fisher is such a relate-able character. I really enjoyed getting to know her.

My favorite trope is the friends to lovers. I find something so romantic about it. Hannah and Deacon have been friends for what seems like forever. Readers, I can’t begin to tell you that the friendship these two have is one that all people should strive to have. These two love and care for each other deeply. They would do anything for each other.

These two are more than just friends. They are family. On top of that you add a sweet little boy named Max. Hannah has helped Deacon with Max for Max’s whole life. All Max knows is that he has the perfect family.

Hannah and Deacon have quite a story and I am glad I go to enjoy the ride. Hannah needed to build self-confidence and learn that she is worth love. Deacon needs to learn that he is worthy to give love and be loved. These two go on an amazing adventure of life. They each learn their own lessons and I really enjoyed how they grew together. The important lesson will always be about love.

Thank you Rachel Harris for bringing Hannah into my life.

Let me start this off like this. I did not know that this was a part of a series. I felt this was a complete standalone read that will ride you all the way to the end and then some if you so like. The cover got my attention with the beautiful background and a young couple on. Then it was the title of the book. Then I began reading and found a good read. The band was filled with some very interesting characters. I would like to find out more about them, later. This time I focus on Hannah and Deacon.

Hannah had loved Deacon for a very long time. Now, she no longer wanted to keep that locked away inside of herself. She was going to make a go for the one man she had dreamed of for so long. Deacon missed his BFF and wanted her to take on the role of his nanny. Things most certainly had changed in the time they had been apart. There were a lot of things that had to be aired and cleared between them. The chemistry between the two was a slow gradual build. The romance sweet. The steam and heat were low key but clear. The characters that surrounded them were welcoming and added to the read.

Needing a sweet gentle romance with friends-to-lovers that will give you a good back story and gradual climb upward. Then you need look no further. Pick up The Nanny Arrangement.

I know that a best friends to lovers story is always predictable. Everyone knows how it's going to end. But what makes it one of my favourite tropes is the journey of the protagonists. I love reading the ups and downs between friends and how their perception of each other changes subtly to include their love. And this book, which is among the first of the author's I have read, tells a take which has come to induce a soft feeling in my heart.

The tale is cute and swoon worthy and I can read it again to enjoy Hannah's sweetness and Deacon's tough guy act. That isn't to say that there wasn't a situation where I felt like smacking them. The second half had me feeling a tad annoyed, especially with Deacon!

Hannah is such a breath of fresh air with her shyness and her determination to get Deacon. Deacon comes across as such a serious guy who reveals his character in layers. The setting of the shows and their constant travel worked well for their love story. Do you know who really knocked off my socks? MAX! I love him and his shenanigans. He is so adorable!!

I remember reading the book at work and when my colleagues came to know the title, they teased me saying that it sounded like an employee seducing a boss kind of story. That's when I realised that though it had that theme too, it was mainly a friends to lovers one and it was a sweet romance and didn't have too much heat in the romance which suits the story to a T.

If you are looking for a not too complicated romance with a sweet story and drool worthy hero and a heroine you can understand, then this one is for you!

My one line review : A perfectly sweet and cute romance for a breezy read.

My rating : 5/5

My reread factor : 4/5

The Nanny Arrangement was my introduction to Rachel Harris, and because of it, I don't think it will be my last Rachel Harris book! The Nanny Arrangement was a great pick me up read, and I fell in love with Hannah and Deacon's best friends to lovers' relationship as they just an adorable dynamic between the two of them, and Deacon's toddler son, Max. Also I loved how, Hannah was able to become friends with Ella and Sherry as the women truly looked out for each other, and helped Hannah become more confident. I'm dying for the next book and can't wait to read more in this series! I even went back and read the first book.

The Nanny Arrangement is a great summer read and definitely put me in the mood for the (soon to come?) warmer weather. Also while The Nanny Arrangement is actually the second book in Country Blues series, but it's not necessary to have read the first one for diving into this one as I didn't. However, I may just pick up the first book in the series while I wait for the next Country Blues novel, which will be about Nate, the playboy drummer who is in the same band as Deacon.

I've been a fan of Rachel Harris for a long time, so I was so excited to have the chance to review her newest novel. The Nanny Arrangement is one of those books that you read in one sitting and sigh with contentment after the last page. It runs the gamut of emotion, causing you to take a rollercoaster ride right along with the characters. It's sweet, funny, and romantic. 5 stars!

The last time Hannah Fisher tried to show the man she loved how she felt, things didn’t go as planned and she ran for the hills. Actually, she ran to Paris and stayed there for a while, but France was good to her. Hannah discovered a new her, a sexy woman determined to show her childhood BFF she was worth the risk. Now, taking on the job as his band's nanny, Hannah has a plan. Deacon Latrell finally has a good life. He has his dream job, playing the fiddle in a famous band, and his best friend is back in his life. Deacon missed Hannah during the time she was away. Having her near and caring for his son was perfect. Too bad he wanted more. Afraid to risk their friendship for a romance that might not last, he won't shake the boat. But Hannah has other plans and keeping his hands to himself might be too much when she is too close to touch. The Nanny Arrangement is a sweet romance about BFFs turned lovers and the challenges that the new relationship bring. It brings great friends together, sexy men, sassy women and love.
