3.5 stars -- I received a free copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.
Mmmm, I love me a good friends to lovers story. I was hooked from the prologue too, I just felt Hannah's voice in her 14/15 year old self, and how much she put on the line to approach Deacon. And I felt his overwhelming loneliness and despair. Honestly, it was so good I was bummed for a tiny second that I wasn't getting the young adult novel of their story. :P I will admit that that prologue was a full 5 stars for me, and that it was sort of on a different level. But saying that, the story that followed was still all sorts of satisfying and grin inducing.
I really enjoy these romances from Ms. Harris. They just have the perfect blend of sweet characters, great chemistry, steamy scenes (even if the books are fade to black, there are still tummy tingling hot spots), fabulous supporting characters, with just the right hint of strife without going overboard. I can honestly say I was worried that Deacon's inability to trust would wear on me...and it almost did. It rode the edge (probably more than I would have liked, it got a bit frustrating). But I was satisfied that the turnaround was short, so I didn't have to be disappointed in him for long. And it's always so satisfying to see a reluctant hero nudged in the right direction (go Sherry and Arabella!).
I was also concerned with the kid aspect, b/c I'm not really a kid person. And while the kid speak didn't really work for me (sue me, I'm not won over by "wovins" and "mes a cowboy"), I did really appreciate the way Hannah was with the kids. I respected the hell out of her, she really seemed to genuinely love the job, and it made her happy, and she treated them with respect and encouragement. I love seeing positive adult role models...or parents...or whatever.
Hannah was a bit of a contradiction. I loved the strong parts of her I saw, and I felt for her shyness and insecurity. I LOVED the friendships she formed with Sherry and Arabella, it made my heart happy. And when she finally made her move (in the limo) I loved the passion in her and the way she stood up for herself and Deacon... I will admit that I wish I'd seen more earlier on, but I'll take what I can get. It seems both my hero and heroine had awesome bits, but the things that they clung to and allowed to get in the way got a bit frustrating.
As a side note, while it's not required to read any other books in this series (or the related one), if you have read Tyler & Sherry's story and Charlie & Arabella's story, you will be very satisfied with the glimpses you get into their lives!!
So all in all, it was a great read! Especially if you're looking for a solid, Harlequin-esque romance (the Harlequin Romance line, not the Blaze line. :P ). I wonder if it will be Nate or Miles next?
Hannah and Deacon have been friends since they were teenagers. He was lonely and from a broken home, and she had a stutter and less than fashionable clothes, making her the target to a lot of bullies. Deacon protected her, and she centered him eventually creating an unbreakable bond.
Hannah knows Deacon loves her, but she wants him to love her the way she loves him. She’s afraid to confess her feelings to anyone, and the one time she had, her so-called friend made the moves on him and Deacon ended up a single father. Trust doesn’t come easily to Hannah, but that doesn’t apply to Deacon. When he joins the famous Blue band and they’re in need of a nanny to go on tour with them, it’s the perfect job for the child-loving Hannah. She’s been in Max’s (Deacon’s son) life since they day he was born, and of course she’d love to travel with Deacon. It would give her the chance to get him to see her as more than just a friend.
Deacon really does love Hannah. He can’t imagine a world without her in it. He wants her in his life; but because he struggles with forgiving himself for past mistakes, he doesn’t realize just how much he wants her. When he’s feelings become too strong to hide, they embark on a romantic relationship. This is a beautiful story of friends-to-lovers with a unique premise, a well-developed plot, and charming characters. I want to join the women for girl’s night out; and I’d love to be able to sit back and listen to the guys interact with each other. Max and Lizzie are irresistibly cute, and the love and connection between Deacon and Hannah tugged at my heart. I adore these two. I want more!

The Nanny Arrangement by Rachel Harris was a well written and heartwarming read.
I enjoyed the storyline, the plot was entertaining and held my interest all throughout the book.
Hannah and Deacon were likable, endearing characters that I easily connected with and loved watching them move from friends to lovers.
They made me laugh, they made me swoon and they touched my heart with their pain.
These two had been through a lot and totally deserved their HEA.
I'm a huge fan of Rachel Harris's writing and once again she's given us a beautiful and heartfelt read.
The Nanny Arrangement is the second book from the Country Blues series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

I was enthralled by this story. Hannah and Deacon are delightful. Hannah is insecure and yet a bright light in the story and Deacon is a troubled youth in a mans body, who always has tried to save Hannah from the day they met. Now they aren't kids anymore but their past is still blocking them from having their happily ever after. There is no sex in this book, but what there is is very hot. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who enjoys friends to lovers stories.
I fell in love with Max and Deacon. Deacon who was broken and didn’t feel he was worthy of love. Deacon who felt he had to prove himself and that at any time those who say they are his friends will leave. His only constant was Hannah. the girl who saved him when he was in high school. the girl who makes him feel he can conquer it all. The one who grounds him and loves his son unconditionally. He has a hard time believing that she could love him though. He also is afraid that if he acts on his feelings they will lose their friendship and Max will lose her in his life as well.
You feel for Deacon so much. I mean he does some silly mistakes but they are with the best intentions. His love and devotion to his son is heartwarming. Every moment is for that little boy. So when Hannah comes back and becomes his bands nanny he is happy but also scared. He gets his Hannah back but his feelings scare him. And the last thing he wants is to lose his everything.
Hannah though is not seeing that. She is on a mission to get Deacon. this sweet girl who has those little ones fawning over her is not exactly men savvy. She has two friends though who want to help for they see the way Deacon and Hannah are hung over the moon for each other and want Deacon to have happiness. Watching her try to be sexy and suave is entertaining. In Deacon’s mind she is all those things without trying. He sees what she in on the inside and that is what he is attracted to. What is there exudes outward and makes her more radiant and beautiful. How she is with his son has him love her more. When Deacon does finally give in wowza. that is some super sexy times. Deacon is so sweet and wonderful just lacks belief that he is worth it for anyone. With his past it isn’t hard to see why.
I love Deacon’s protective nature and how he wants to do what is right no matter the cost. When he makes a mistake he owns up to it and does anything he can to make it right. when he believes Hannah is letting go of her dream he does what he can to make it right. Only that hurts so many. Even himself. But Hannah also needs to realize that she may have shown Deacon her feelings but never told him he was worth it and he was what she wanted and needed.
when they correct their mistake at the end we get a really swoonworthy moment that will warm your heart. These two are so meant to be together and this is their story. A story of friendship, love and finding your strength. Of finally seeing you are worthy of love and letting it in. A story with a adorably precious little boy who warms your heart and his equally sexy and precious dad who needs his healed. A story with a friendship that heals and becomes more. A love between two people that is healing and wonderful.
The Nanny Arrangement is the second book in the Country Blues series Rachel Harris, and this is the first book I have read. Now I'm not really into famous person romance, I don't know why, just a strange quark I guess, but you know I could NEVER walk a way from a nanny book! As a professional nanny of 19 years, it just wouldn't be right.
So the story is about sweet Hannah Fisher, whom has loved Deacon Latrell his who life! But has been firmly in the Best friend Zone for years! Even when he had a child with Krista, someone who pretended to be her friend, just to get her claws in to Declan, she stayed his best friend.
But now Krista is gone, and Declan is just about to enter the big time, but who is going to look after his sweet son! In steps reliable and sweet Hannah, to save the day! And off they go on tour...that is, until Declan messes it up!
The Nanny Arrangement is a quick, sweet, easy, tale of love between best friends. It's not deep, but perfect for the beach, or relaxing by the pool. The characters are likeable and the story is an easy read, so you definitely won't get caught up in a heavy plot. Thankfully for me, the fame was not such a big deal, but the relationship between Declan and Hannah was. But I will say that Max stole the whole book for me! What a sweetie!
I give The Nanny Arrangement 4 stars!
I adored this book! It was a fun, sweet friends to lovers storyline that had me smiling from the start. Its full of flirty fun that goes from the awkward first step of a romance to full on HEA love. I loved Deacon and Hannah!
Hannah and Deacon have been best friends since their sophomore year in high school. Hannah the shy but misunderstood outcast and Deacon the new kid with the bad boy vibe. Hannah has always had a thing for Deacon and she's tired of waiting for him to finally open his eyes and see her as more than his BFF.
So when the two go on tour, Deacon in his band and Hannah as the band nanny... she sees this as the opportunity she's been waiting for. And from there let the fun begin.
I can't say enough about this book! It can be read as a standalone, although I will be going back to read book one in the series because I need to know how Arabella and Charlie came to be a couple! A quick, fun and flirty sweet read!
This is a delightful friends to lovers romance with great characters and a plot that keeps readers guessing to very near the end. Hannah Fisher was the victim of many bullies through her school years. As a red-haired girl wearing unfashionable clothes who had a speech impediment, she really didn’t expect anything else. However, when Deacon Latrell moved into a neighbouring property she was brave enough to introduce herself to him and that was the start of their friendship. He stuck up for her, she looked out for him, he was her Superman and they were BFF. She inspired him to try playing musical instruments and now he’s playing with a top country music group. The problem is, being friends is not enough and Hannah has returned from working in Paris to join Deacon travelling on tour with her working as his son’s nanny. Hannah has also decided that she’s going to stop just being Deacon’s best friend, she’s going to get him to see her as a woman and hopefully get him to love her like she has loved him for years. . . . .
The background of the two main characters, their interactions and shared love of Max, shine through this story. They aren’t, however, the only great characters in the story. Other members of the band and their partners all play key roles in this heartwarming romance. Insecurities, dreams, anxieties and new friendships are all going on this band tour, each contributing to the whole melodious composition that is a story of having the courage to move from ‘only’ BFF to give romance and love a chance.
I was gifted a copy of this novel via NetGalley, chose to read it and this is my honest opinion after doing so. You’re Still the One is the first book in this series – and I enjoyed that one, too!
"In twenty-five years, there were only ever two things he was proud of in his life: Being a father to his son, and being Hannah's friend."
Oh, my heart!!!
This book made me smile so much.
I enjoy friends-to-lovers romances the most!
Hannah and Deacon's friendship is something that you strive for, but the love they both share deep down, is inspiring!
Even though it's not said, or even shown, their love is there for so many to see.
Throw a sweet little boy named Max into the mix, and you have yourself one of the sweetest love stories!!
"She was his center of gravity, the calm in his storm."
This story was full of laughter, swoons, and pulls on your heartstrings.
You want these two together more than anything!
Rachel Harris knows how to write a great romance!!
Hannah and Deacon have stolen a piece of my heart! And I'm so smitten with his little boy!!
I can't wait for the next book within this series, because I don't want to give these characters up yet!!!
Soooooo good!!
"I promise I'll make you so damn happy."
"You already have."
Hannah has always been shy but underneath that she is dying to make her best friend, Deacon, fall in love with her. Deacon feels like he is on top of the world. He's the fiddler for Country's hottest new band and his best friend is on tour with him in the form of his son's nanny. However, he can't stop imagining kissing her.
There is a major lack of communication between these two characters otherwise they would have been together a long time ago. The story is really good and I kept wanting to smack both of them for not taking the next step in their relationship. Deacon doesn't want to ruin their friendship but when you've been friends as long as they have it just makes it better!
I really enjoyed this story and the characters are wonderful. I'd highly recommend if you are looking for a sweet, light-hearted romance.

"The Nanny Arrangement" by Rachel Harris is a sweet tale that warmed my heart. The main couple in the story, Hannah and Deacon are life long friends that have both fought their attraction and feelings for the other. Deacon, a musician, hires Hannah to look after his young son while on tour with him. Hannah, a shy and a bit timid, takes this has her chance to get the man she has always loved. I enjoyed the path these two take. Best friends to lovers isn't always my favorite but it works for me in this one. I truly connected with Hannah - being a bit shy myself and longing for the "cool guy", I totally got that. And I found Deacon to be such a sweetheart that I was swooning a bit too. Ms. Harris has written a story that is sweet and endearing with a Cinderella feel, and seeing the characters grow into their own was a fun ride too. The writing style and pace of the story is delightful as well as the characters and relationships along the way. Throughout there are moments that made me smile and others that made me get a tad teary. Overall, there is little angst which was a pleasure. My heart certainly fell for Hannah and Deacon and I was rooting for them the entire tale. Just a note, while this is book two, it can easily be read as a stand alone, as I have not read the first story yet. However, after enjoying this one, I look forward to catching up. (received ARC for honest review)
There's so much to love and enjoy in this sweet, adorable, and ardent romance story that hit all the three S's on several occasion - yes, I was smiling, swooning and sighing ( a nice way to say sobbing) while reading, and ended up inhaling this delightfully charming story.
One of my favorite type of romances is when the best friends find love with each other. The relationship has such a solid and strong foundation to built on, it is easy to see the romance carry on for ever after.
What Hannah Fisher and Deacon Latrell have is something special, it is a unique connection of their minds and souls, and as corny as it might sound, they truly do complete each other.
Deacon Latrell had been kicked around as a kid, growing up in rough and tough environment taught him to keep people at arm's length. Until Hannah crossed the street and walked into his life. Then he turned into a protective superhero, who looked after her, kept her safe from bullies, grew up with her, and always had her back. Just like Hannah had his.
Hannah Fisher had loved Deacon for ten years, from the moment they met. He was her best friend, her Superman, the one person who saw her true self, not her clothing or her stuttering or her status at the school. She had tried to escape her feelings for Deacon, yet upon failure decided it is time to act and go after her dreams. Hannah is a sweet, caring, and kind person. She loves kids, and her gentleness and genuine caring for others draws people in, her selfless nature makes it easy to be around her.
The development of the relationship between Hannah and Deacon is filled with humor, tenderness, and tears. It was impossible not to adore how they relate to each other. The feelings between them are tangible, yet to risk the friendship and everything they have and have had, and to take their relationship to a next level is a step that brings angst and fear into the picture, jitters that can end up wrecking all that they used to have.
I enjoyed the good energy and the positivity of the story. The band, even though famous, was not acting like 'famous rock stars', they were fun and lively, family oriented, and a friendly bunch that you wanted to spend time with.
Hannah's parents and especially her dad has a special relationship with Deacon. The way the Fisher's embraced Deacon as a young boy, and now as a man is admirable. The love and consideration they have for Deacon and his son Max is a beautiful thing to witness.
With humor and tense, deep emotions, the author tells a story filled with devotion, affection, and loyalty. A story that goes from ardent to anxious to tender and doting. Absolutely a delightful tale that filled my heart and left me smiling

Hannah and Deacon have a special bond. He had always been her protector and champion. While she's his support and his cheerleader. Their relationship is very special. I enjoyed seeing them start a romantic relationship. Their chemistry is powerful. He's a caring and compassionate man. Hannah has a heart full of love. I liked her immediately. Max, Deacon's son, stole my heart. He's such a bundle of energy. I empathized with Deacon and his worries. He wants the security of being a permanent member of Blue. The band members and their ladies are delightful supporting characters. The Nanny Arrangement is filled with great dialogue plus a charming setting. This is an entertaining and touching story that has it all. There's love, laughter and joy with a touch of drama. Rachel Harris kept me reading. I had to make sure there was a HEA.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read. My comments are my honest opinion.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Rachel Harris. The characters were well developed. Each showing their own insecurites. I love music, so the back story of a country band tour bus made it more interesting to me! I had not read any of her books before, but will admit she is now on my list of favorite authors! I will be looking for more of her books.

REVIEW HIDDEN UNDER SPOILER TAG ON GOODREADS:
I had hopes for The Nanny Arrangement, but unfortunately I was disappointed.
Hannah has been in love with her best friend Deacon basically since he moved to their small town at the age of fifteen. He adores Hannah and her family but feels he isn’t good enough for her so instead he ends up with her best friend Krista, and eventually fathering a child with her. Thankfully, Krista isn’t in the story much at all, only referenced as a past element, because she takes off immediately after giving birth to their son Max. Even after Krista is gone and Hannah basically becomes like a mother to Max, Deacon still views Hannah as the perfect girl, someone on a pedestal and won’t allow his feelings of attraction come into play. Hannah doesn’t think Deacon would ever care for her, because they share an awkward moment of almost kissing or kissing? Not sure because this was never clarified and Hannah takes off for Paris to serve and an au pair. She stays away for fourteen months and then comes back to take the position of tour nanny for Deacon’s son and another band member’s daughter when Blue, the band Deacon has signed on with will be going on tour.
Much of the book is spent with Hannah pining over Deacon, barely even flirting with him even though she’s resolved to make a move, and Deacon having thoughts of Hannah, beating himself up over those “inappropriate” thoughts “because he’s not good enough”. This continues and they don’t even share a kiss until after the 50% point, and of course, Deacon regrets doing even that! I never felt these two were solidly together even after taking things to the next level, and I wanted to throw my kindle out the window at the 83% mark. So incredibly irritating! I don’t like reading a romance where I’m completely frustrated throughout the story, so The Nanny Arrangement was didn’t work for me.
A copy was kindly provided by Entangled Publishing via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I received an ARC and an voluntarily writing a review.
I did enjoy it, but it wasn't very memorable. Hannah and Deacon have been friends for years. Hannah has always been in love with Deacon. I was very interested in how the story progressed.
I wasn't a fan of the writing style. I didn't like that the beginning of a chapter took place days after the ending of the previous chapter.
There were times I wished Hannah tried to move on and times I wish Deacon fought more for Hannah.

If you are looking for a pretty awesome read about best friends becoming more, this is the book. I absolutely loved the epilogue of this book. Two kids that had no friends and just with a simple Hello, made everything better for both of them. I love seeing two people that have loved each other for so long, denying it, finally decide to step up and find out if they will have a future. I'm going to start with Hannah, because I absolutely love her during this whole book. She was that girl. The girl that was awkward, made fun of, and didn't have anyone in school. She sees the new boy sitting on the porch at his house and all she had to do was walk over and say hi. How hard is that, well very hard when you think everyone hates you, but she did it. She made the first step and they have been friends ever since. She leaves for Paris for awhile and devises a plan, a plan to win Deacon. So when the opportunity comes up for for her to be the nanny for his son and a little girl on his tour she is all in. Deacon, he was so troubled when he was a kid, but he found Hannah. finding Hannah was his saving grace. So when she went to Paris, he thought he lost her, but when she landed on his doorstep, and he had a job to offer her, and she said yes, well it was a dream come true.
They are going to fight their attraction. Deacon is thinking he is not good enough for her. Hannah will think she is not enough for him. They will struggle for that neutral ground. They both are going to make mistakes. They are going to feel things stronger than they ever did, when their feelings truly come out. Hoping they can find that middle ground will keep you reading, because these characters are so good together, that they don't even realize it. Now will it be in time for them to make something happen, or are they going to stay friends forever.
I know I spent a lot of time talking about the main characters, but the secondary characters were just as fun. And we can't forget about Max, Deacon's son. He is just awesome. I loved how he talked in this book and how interacted with Hannah. He was a breath of fresh air. All the group, all perfect. The interaction with them was serious at times, but there were those fun spots that made you see how a family bond was forming. I love when a book can do that.
My favorite seen is the bedroom scene at the beginning. Deacon's whole demeanor, pretty funny. I loved it. Hannah's parents are exceptional too. They showed love to a little boy that didn't have anything and brought him into a home of love. You can never replace that. The author did a great job in this book and I can't wait to read another from her.

I really enjoy a good friends to lovers story so I knew right away I was going to love this one. One of my favorite parts is the backstory on how Deacon and Hannah became friends. I wish I could be more like Hannah and have the guts to go after what I what like she did. A lot of times we always think of the what ifs and that's what Hannah doesn't want to do have no regrets. The interaction between Hannah, Deacon, and Max is so adorable. It just melts my heart. The connection and the feelings these two have for one another is truly beautiful. I highly recommend reading this one because I could hardly put it down that I got so engrossed into the story.
Hannah Fisher and Deacon Latrell have been friends for ten years. Really from the day she got the courage to walk across the street to talk to the boy in the neighborhood who was shooting baskets. From the moment she hi. He would help her through high school but would allow another girl to come between them and after she had a baby she left him and the baby, but Hannah has been there for both of them since day one. Deciding to go to Paris for six months she is now back and has taken a job as a nanny for the band that Deacon has joined. Her other plan is to get Deacon to notice her as well, but if that doesn’t work out at least she knows that she tired and she will be able to move on with her life. The wives’ and girlfriends of the band like her and think that they should be a couple. During the tour things begin to heat up and Deacon begins to allow old ideas that he has about himself to creep back into his mind and because of that he fires Hannah without talking it over with the band and more importantly with Hannah. When he thinks he can talk to her she is already gone and he realizes that he has screwed up royally. There is only one way to fix this but he does not even know if she will be in their home town when the tour gets there. Find out what happens in this very good story.
